Ive been to a couple Nicholas Creamery Locations i do Love there Ice Cream but if i could Make 1 SUGGESTION........the ingredients such as Pistachios, Coconut...etc....i believe there needs to be Way More in the ice cream. its very limited with there ingredients. When i had gotten both of those flavored ice creams there was hardly any pistachios in the pistachio ice cream or hardly and coconut flakes in the coconut ice cream. Def needs more toppings in it. Let me start this review by saying the following: It really sucks that I live a little over an hour away from this place, otherwise I would be eating their ice cream every day. They Hudson Coffee Crunch flavor is the best flavor they have ever invented. I've brought 2 of my closest friends to try this specific flavor because it's delicious. The only small complaint I have is that they're "cash only" but I'm sure they have their reasons. I don't like carrying cash with me so it's a bit of an "inconvenience" for me. Also, I understand that due to covid, some things have been restricted, but it would be nice if they let us try the flavor before we buy it. They don't do samples like many of my favorite ice cream shops so if I'm not a fan of the flavor then it would suck for me because I'm stuck with it. Other than that, I have no complaints, I love this place, and I'll be coming here every time I'm in the area. IT IS A MUST!!! When it comes to creative flavors and taste Nicholas Creamery is great. Unfortunately, when we go, there is often a disappointment. The flavors in question frequently do not have much of the chunks advertised, like cookie dough ice cream that has one ball of cookie dough in an entire medium cup. Yesterday I ordered a medium Rice Krispie ice cream and when handed the cup, the "Scoops" where curls of ice cream, not scoops. When asked to give a fair portion the response was "If we pushed the ice cream down we would give you too much". I know I have the right to vote with my wallet so I have no one to blame but myself, but if you go to premium creamery and pay a very premium price, extending profit by serving less, seems greedy. I have complained privately in the past and told I should say something in the store and my issue would be rectified and it was not. Absolutely the best "craft" ice cream you can find. The flavors are all velvety smooth and creamy. The staff is always friendly and helpful. The texture of the ice cream is always consistent and if you are lucky you can get the freshest waffle cones around. I would highly recommend the banana flavors if they have them available; it took me back to my childhood. Coffee ice creams are fantastic as are the "traditional flavors" I've been to all locations they have and this applies to the entire chain! Try it you won't be disappointed! read more

My mom got the mint chocolate chip in one of their home made waffle cones. She loved it. My boyfriend and I got the Vegan Seed to Sprout Cookie Dough Ice Cream topped with Oreo crumble in a vegan cone. Specialty ice cream are really unique, I recommend trying the bone marrow with cherries if they have it, thought I would throw it out but would be a fun try, ended up eating all of it. I'm always sorry to leave a negative review but this really warrants it, in my opinion. I've been to Nicholas Creamery a couple of times in the past, often enough to know I enjoy their ice creams. Yesterday I had such a yen for it that I stopped by after an appointment in the neighborhood to discover I was about 15 minutes early before they opened. I couldn't seem to get it out of my thoughts so I went back today to find that one of their cold cases was down and they were only selling pints and cakes, So I said OK l, no problem, l will take a pint. I bought a pint of Heavenly Hash. Heavenly Hash is a chocolate-based ice cream with chunks of dark chocolate and marshmallows mixed in. How could you go wrong? It sounded delicious. When I opened the container it did, indeed, look like chocolate ice cream and I could see chunks and marshmallows mixed in. The problem came with the taste. Had I been blindfolded and asked to tell what flavor ice cream I was eating, I would have to say I don't know. This flavor was completely absent of anything remotely chocolate. I was really really very shocked that there was no chocolate flavor at all. And that, my friends, is a big disappointment when buying an $8.00 pint of small batch (gourmet) ice cream. Called on our way to buy icecream for the entire family and knew we would be arriving right at 10 pm when they close and asked if they could wait one minute because we were speeding there. It was just sweet cream ice cream base with some purplish swirls. No blackberries or blackberry flavor. The hard chocolate was gritty. We threw these cups of ice cream in the garbage and went home. I get that this is supposed to be hip, fun and the ever changing flavor variety is supposed to spark interest, but I wish they would focus on getting the basic flavors and textures right before trying to change it up. We are huge ice cream fans and have always had a great experience at Nicholas restaurant. So with that being said I was beyond disgusted with his ice cream shop. For starters the fact that its "Cash only" is a huge red flag for many reasons that I won't get into. Second the young staff is more concerned about responding to text messages rather than serving ice cream. I ordered carrot cake which is just a vanilla base with toppings loaded in to create new flavors, I have noticed this with many of their offerings. I hate to complain and leave negative reviews but I feel it is my obligation to relay my experience to other local ice cream goers. The vanilla I get a acme out of the 1 gallon tube was far superior to Nicholas'. I really hope that they can manage to improve their overall customer experience, staff, and ice cream recipe. My friends picked me up one as a surprise for my birthday (key like pie). I was surprised to find Nicholas Creamery in a strip mall, not that it's a 'bad' thing. I was very excited to try the ice cream and drove 30 minutes from Marlboro to experience it. They have seasonal flavors, such as pumpkin and apple cider. The ice cream was delicious. Creamy, sweet, just the right amount of texture.
