Service is a 8/10! they're boba is always packed with flavor and is always a hit for me! The tea is also very good too and the atmosphere is calm which is nice. But I would say is that they should start adding names to the drinks because maybe some people might get confused which is theirs just like I did! Ok so we ordered based on 4.8 star average at 94 reviews. Only a handful were in the 1-2 range so we were expecting it to be at least decent to good. Two out of our three poke bowl orders were disappointing. The spicy salmon was 75% mayo/dressing. Both of us that got it didn't take more than the first bite. The shrimp was mini, aka farm raised and not fresh. In addition, they were not properly cooked and we had mild food poisoning for the following day. The pineapple, "sweet corn", and tomato were flavorless, and the former was obviously canned. Not impressed. Will not eat a meal here again. We did not order any of the ice cream or tea, so can't comment on the other part of the menu. read more

I stopped in here with a friend to get boba and it was very good. I had high hopes since they had great reviews and they didn't disappoint. I got the brown sugar milk tea and it was tasty, the boba pearls were just the right amount of sweet and chewy. We were able to enjoy our drinks there and I noticed they had poke and so I ordered some before I left. My to go order was a Build Your Own Poke. I decided on the 2 protein choice and chose spicy tuna and spicy kani. I also ordered a passionfruit green tea with mango popping pearls. We also ordered strawberry boba & that was good. Parking was hard we had to park about 3 blocks away which wasn't horrible. My Mom was so excited to try this place. We walked in and the staff was so incredible and respectful to her. Helped her order and make sure she was getting what she wanted. Lunch was not a disappointment and we were both so happy. My sushi bowl had spicy salmon, brown rice, seaweed salad, mango and lots of goodies. My Mom had the same but eel and salmon. Upon walking in, the first thing I noticed was how hot it was inside. After ordering, it kinda scared me that I saw the raw fish just sitting out on the counter. I was really excited to try this place and love supporting small local businesses but I was disappointed to see how small the sushi burritos are. JJ's portion size for their sushi burritos are the same as a regular roll from Hmart. Not sure if mine is an anomaly but I'm sad to say I don't think I'll be coming back because of this. Also, after my first bite, it literally fell apart all over me. For how small it was, I don't see how it couldn't have been wrapped better. As for the taste factor itself, I really couldn't taste the salmon or tuna. I ordered double protein and as you can see in the pic, it's mostly other ingredients. I would give it a 3/5 for flavor, their spicy actually had a kick for me. The rest of my family got sushi bowls instead and they were much bigger for the same price of $14.95. So if you're looking for the best bang for your buck I would skip the burrito and get a bowl. But for me, next time I'll just try the Japanese place down the street instead. I'm a big fan of this place! Normally I am skeptical about any Chinese owned establishments, but the owners are super friendly and they try hard to put out quality food and service. So far, they have succeeded on both fronts! The couple times I've been here, I have left a happy customer! For those not familiar with poke bowls, they are basically bowls with rice, poke(tuna), and salad. I think the concept originated in Hawaii. At JJ delicacies, you can order what's on the menu or build your own, and the prices are very reasonable! I've gone with the option of building my own bowl twice and it always comes out fresh and filled to the top. There are so many ingredients to customize your bowl! I also like how they have different bases to choose from such as brown rice, spring mix salad, and even noodles. Ordering a custom bowl for the first time is a little confusing - you pay first, then pick your ingredients on the fly. You need to map out your choices to see what interests you then go to the register to order. They don't just stop at poke bowls, you can also order sushi burritos, bubble tea, hot teas, and Thai rolled ice cream. I've tried the Matcha bubble tea and it's not bad. I really hope JJ Delicacies does well. It's a tough town for restaurants to stay in business it seems. I recommend Yelpers check this place out! I can see myself here quite often when in the area. The ambience and customer service made a good impression on me. The walls and decor were tasteful and homey, especially with the arm chairs and couches in front of the store.
