Great stop for lunch after a long morning of work in downtown Boulder. Hey have a good variety of lunch specials I went the traditional route and got slice of pizza with a drink for under $7. I like that it's a little area with seating right next to the meal Prep, the staff was friendly and helpful. As all things in Boulder you have to pay for your hourly Peking unless you are lucky enough to find a side street free area. Right off the corner of the busy street mall area. I would like to see if this location would ever change the basic blend of cheese to hold the sharp cheddar or orange cheese that I believe to be combined with mozzarella? The choices for adds on are fresh and ready to go; I noted that ALOT of people walked in and out for their orders so you can tell that people stop by often!

Visiting from San Diego and stumbled upon this gem! Absolutely delish! Definitely will be coming back here when we are visiting again.

BAKE OR TAKE Ok, I was visiting the area and stopped by this place. Not a bad find. BUT NOTE! I called ahead so the pizza was ready when I arrived (the temp was 32 and dropping and I was on foot!) so it was a surprise to walk into this place and 1. have the person at the counter not know about my order (they had to check with another person), and 2. For that said person to walk over to a fridge and hand me an uncooked pizza They're great though, they baked it there, I just wasn't aware this was how they worked. Also, you can create your own pizza...I liked that option. Ill do that the next time I'm in the area.

These directions are kind of ridiculous. The whole point of ordering pizza is to not have to babysit your dinner as it's cooking.

Have ordered pizzas to go from here a couple of times and still honestly trying to figure out why there's such a high price point for a take-and-bake pizza. The pricing is the same, if not more, than other spots around town of similar (or even higher) quality where they do the work for you and it's ready to eat. A 2-topping 14" large pizza is $17.99, and if you want a topping on only half the pizza, you still get charged for a full topping. Wtf? I don't particularly love the fact that take-and-bake is the only option here, especially given how overly complicated the baking instructions are. The whole point of ordering pizza is to have a no-frills night in and not have to babysit your meal as it's cooking, am I right? But N&W makes it impossible because they specifically tell you to pop the stupid dough bubbles every few minutes (and they make it very clear to follow the instructions to "avoid pizza shame.") Ugh. I want to love this place so badly, especially because of how close it is to home and the fact that they seem to really support hiring kids that are new to the working world. But come on, it's take-and-bake pizza for the love of Pete, and just because wealthy Boulder moms who want a night off from cooking can afford a $20 simple pie, doesn't mean you should capitalize on it. The value here is mediocre at best.

Came in on a cold spring day with a friend passing thru Colorado. Saw the Yelp freebie for check in and was excited he could try the wings that are so highly reviewed. So, 5 stars for flavor and quality - but 3 to the server for not understanding the Yelp check in freebie offer of 6 free wings with the order. His thinking it was expired even though I showed him the current offer - in the end, he gave us 3 for free. Can't wait to come back to try another slice - had essentially the Aegean? The slice I had is not on the website menu. Loved watching them prep the pies and salads - nice way to spend a chilly afternoon!

Some say that fruit on pizza is a sacrilege. To these parties I recommend the Big Kahuna, a condition of madarin oranges and pineapple.

A true Boulder original. I eat there once a week for lunch. Try Willie's wings with a slice of pizza.

Therefore…read moreBoulder has a lot of college friendly greasy cheap pizzas.. which is great for our population but does get redundant and I crave a different kind of pizza. One with more attention to detail, fluffy crust, more 'Italian' style, more homey. This is the place if you're craving that more authentic Italian style experience! They've got actual margarita pizza (that's not just a cheese pizza with tomato slices thrown on it like other places..) and really unique style pizzas if you're feeling adventurous. We had one unique pizza that had sausage, honey, and pistachios. I usually dislike sweet and salty and my partner hates nuts, but they did this pizza so well it was one of the best pizzas we tried there. I believe they mix up their menus cause when I tried looking it up online for the exact name of the pizza I couldn't find the pizza. But I'll post a picture of the pizza. They also have a great appetizers and the slice their prosciutto to order. What I love about this place is you can sit at the pizza bar and watch pizzas being made and meat being sliced and arranged beautifully. I loved their limoncello drinks which is perfect for spring/summer day out on their patio. The servers are kind and hard working. This definitely is one of my favorite places to hang, date night, girls night, business dinner, etc.

We went with the Lottie's Salsiccia, which had sausage, vodka sauce, and sweet and sour peppers. It had an interesting mix of sweet and savory flavors. Our waitress also recommended us the Trapanese, which was super creamy as it had pesto sauce and burrata cheese chunks on top. We added anchovies to half of the pizza and that definitely added some saltiness to it. For drinks we had the aperol spritz and frose, which were refreshing. They have indoor and outdoor seats, though outdoor is limited so you may have to wait. The flavors of the pizza really came through well, but the crust was a bit too thick for my liking. Service was fast though and super friendly! It's right on Pearl Street too so you can check it out as you're shopping!

What a deal ! We got a 4 corner with 3 toppings for under $10 dollars and it was plenty of gold. There is parking behind the building which is very nice to see in Boulder. It's clean and efficient inside. Just a single counter by the front window if you wanted to eat there but everyone was getting to go and a substantial number were drivers like the ones who regularly come to our house. The staff was friendly and efficient at both the counter and the uniquely separated cooking and baking area. We are not too likely to get back in person as it is far from our house but we will continue to order delivery on a regular basis. Here are some pictures in case you are a customer who also have never been in person.

We did an online order for pick up and were pleasantly surprised with the ease of ordering! There were a lot of different options and toppings to pick from! The pizza was great, and the crust was perfectly crisp! While we loved the pizza, we didn't love the price tag on it. With most 8 square pizzas starting around $15-20, and each additional topping starting at $2.99 (for this size), we were a bit shocked at the prices. They did have some coupons, but we still were a bit disappointed in how high the prices were. We would definitely consider coming back again if in the area!

The bartender/greeting/server guy who always works there is very nice and brings the place to life. He's friendly and quick to get your order and make small talk. This is a great option for an after hike brews or getting pizza after touring Ned. They serve single slices and it's pretty reasonable at about $5-7. Fun specialty pizzas too and very tasty. A bit expensive for the higher end ones but they are fairly large slices too. I like the Greek inspired ones most. Beers are tasty and they have a good selection, lots of fun decor, and a nice location with lots of parking. You can walk to the Merry Go Round too. This was my first trip with kids in tow. Two dads, three boys. What could go wrong? After our server stopped by, we settled in with soft drinks and IPAs (age-depending), then ordered a couple pies. The kids went for the video games and pool table. There are plenty of TVs w sports if that's your thing. We watched Ohio State finish off Texas until our pizzas came out. Not long. Pizza at Backcountry has been consistently solid for decades. Today was no exception. It's not fancy, but is done well. The pepperoni earns a special badge for being better reheated at home than hot on the table. Remarkably so. I'll take one home next time. Frankly, the tap list is the star here from our POV, a factor that can put Backcountry over the top in choosing a spot. I had my first Blind Pig here in 2010. It's still featured on a well-curated list (along with Pliny the Elder) with various styles of legit microbrew all-stars--enough to never order mids. Maybe someday, I'll try one of the sandwiches or other items. They look good, too. That just means I'll have to go back.
