The vibe there is like going to an authentic pizza shop in New York. I love it. It feels like you're going to see your neighbor to get a slice of pizza. I come here all the time. Normally, it's very good pizza. Today must've been one of their off days, I ordered two pizzas one pepperoni and one cheese for our family dinner. The boys are meat lovers so they love their pepperoni and the girls and I are vegetarian so we love our cheese pizzas. Unfortunately for us while the boys had a very nice meal and me and the girls were stuck with burnt pizza. Not very good at all. This place is horrible. I ordered a pizza early Saturday evening and showed up to pick it up exactly 15 minutes later. When I told them my order, they said they needed to "heat up the pie." Why would you have to heat up the pie if it was made fresh! I was told by the manager, an extremely rude woman, that they don't make pizzas to order and that they have to heat up all there pizzas. What?!???!!! That's idiotic. what Kind of pizza place doesn't sell fresh pies. What a joke. I lived in Brooklyn for 25 years.. if this place opened there, it would be out of business within a week! They should change their name to "Crap Pizza!" Save your money. This isn't any better quality than a frozen pizza from a grocery store, but twice the price! Pizza here is VERY good NY style pizza, however cleanliness and hygiene is clearly not a priority to the staff. No gloves worn at all in the kitchen. The girl went back and forth from the register to tossing/mixing the cheese around without washing her hands. I am so upset. My husband and I love Brooklyn Pizza...but tonight,after our pizza was made incorrectly after waiting 30m and I watched numerous customers being offered free slices because of the cook's mistakes..I was told by the cook I'm going to have to wait again because it's busy...other customers received their orders before me...way before..and the pizza maker appeared not sober. He was all over the place and told me "you gonna have to wait". The younger man who had originally taken my order and was super friendly got nasty when I was told, again, "just 10 minutes" and I requested a refund. He told me I was being racist??? And that I shouldn't say out loud in front of customers that the cook was high. He told me you can have a cash refund (I paid cash!) and he shorted me $4 and told me to get the fuck out of the restaurant. Not ok. read more

Been coming here for years! The owner Genc has become a personal friend over the years, starting when I used to regularly pickup dinner on the way home from work, balancing a pizza box on my bike. The recipes have always been excellent, especially the pesto pie, and the recreation of a classic NY pie shop is fabulous. Gritty, blue collar ambiance, fantastic food, and the company over years. Very very disappointed, asked for large pizza , extra crispy and paid for online "extra pepperoni" on both sides. I forgot to give them my sons apartment number so I called up to give them info. The nice lady who answered the phone said she received the order snd understood "extra pepperoni" and would make sure there was extra. Then I also asked her to make it extra crispy. I went back again after my last review i thought id try it again. I got a slice cant remember what topping i told them WELL DONE on the slice. The put it on the counter and the tip flopped over and under the plate touching the counter top, this went unnoticed or uncaring by the server. The crust was the only thing cooked the whole underside was soggy, very thin dough. I suspect the oven had a cold spot or was turned too low, but honestly worst slice, soggy floppy, 5$ is steep ive had better for 1$ in nyc read more

My wife and I were with my father in boulder for one more day and we decided to try another pizza spot. We tackled pizza colore a couple blocks down and loved it. We now decided to come to Brooklyn pizza and man we are on the fence for which is better. Brooklyn pizza's slices were HUGE. These came at a pretty decent price too. We ended up ordering three pepperoni slices, a cheesecake and a tiramisu. Onto the food! The pizza was amazing! It comes pre-made(I'm guessing from the morning) and they put it into the oven to reheat it. They leave a nice crunchy and burnt area on the crust. Extremely greasy for those wondering. Loved that, but take it as a warning if you don't like greasy. The tiramisu was a hefty piece of dessert. Creamy and extremely thick. Worth the buy. The cheesecake was tiny for the price. Very skinny and not that long. Don't get me wrong, it was very good but if it were a little bigger then definitely worth the price. My wife personally loved it! read more

I wish I would have read the reviews before ordering. This place was not great and leaves a lot to be desired for even just a decent pizza. The actual pizza overall was at best maybe slightly better than the cheaper chain pizza places, which might only be the wish in my mind that it would be better. We ordered the bacon pizza which was huge disappointment because we ended up getting a pizza topped with a lot of almost raw chewy bacon fat (almost no meat). Ultimately we ended up pulling off the chunks of fat and adding our own decent bacon to salvage the pie. Tried calling to ask if this was normal and they offered me a desert instead. Sad. read more

Rude & unsanitary owner. When he brought me my pizza, I asked him if I could have it for to-go. He told me, "would have been easier if you told me before." It took him 2 seconds to transfer from a plate to a box. He was also touching my pizza with his bare hands right after I saw him smoking & on his phone. Totally ruined my meal. Not impressed at either of the two times I ordered from this place. First time was a delivery and the pizza was cold and looked like the toppings had slid around the pie in transit. Second visit was a pick up and it was disappointing too. Apparently it seemed like it was a cheese pizza made earlier than the time I ordered it with a topping added and reheated after the fact. At the time of the order I said pepperoni and black olives and when I arrived about 20 minutes later pizza not even warm with no black olives. At this time a scant amount of black olives added and reheated while I was waiting for it.
