Instead, he through the back gate and alerted our dogs which seemed to surprise him even though we have a sign on the door asking not to let the dogs out. He said he didn't expect to get attacked. I suggested he not come onto our property without alerting us. He then said, "We'll I guess you just want me to leave then". And he did. read more

This company is NOT reputable nor honest. They did a poor job and then dumped the debris that they did clean in a pile in our yard. Recommend you use another company! There are plenty other good gutter companies out there. read more

Used him in the past to clean gutters but when I called him back a few months later to check why one gutter was leaking he refused the job. Seems happy to charge $350 to clean that gutter (and others) but was then not willing to come back to see why it is blocked. Told me he needed scafolding to get up there but when he cleaned the gutters the first time he did not - or maybe he never cleaned them...! Avoid this firm. read more

Very poor customer service. They advertise that they bag and remove the debris. This is false. Their employees dumped the debris back onto the backside of my property. I will never work with this coming again. When I called to get an explanation, I was told that the workers could not use the water because the water was not turned on. That was also a lie as I have timers for my watering system. I made sure the manual connection was available for the workers to use. I will also submit this information to MHIC. read more

After being frustrated by gutter guys who wouldn't return calls or needed to schedule multiple appointments just to get an estimate (some couldn't come for three weeks just for the ESTIMATE!), my husband found Nick Rivers' Gutters (I have no idea where) and we booked a cleaning. The gal on the phone was super nice and pleasant and provided an estimate on the spot as well as booked a cleaning for just a few days later. When I got home from work I noticed our nasty gutters had been cleaned (um yeah, some of them had little trees growing in them so it was obvious) and the bill was in the mailbox. The next day I got an email with several before and after pictures of the gutters which are now nearly as clean as the day they were installed. I was very happy with the service i received from Nick Rivers Gutters. When i called the lady on the phone was very friendly and made the process very easy, which was different from other places i called around to. She asked me a couple questions and was able to give me a quote over the phone, which was a fair price. I liked that i didn't have to make an appointment just for an estimate(like other companies were requiring, and one even requested i leave work early to accommodate them) and i didn't have to be home for the gutter cleaning and inspection(like other companies also said they required). They made it so simple, as it should be. They also email you before and after pictures so you can see the work. I was happy with the pictures, everything looked great, and just so nice not to have to miss work to have this done. I will be using them again. I'm a very happy customer. read more

Does not honor warranty. Nick Rivers Gutters repaired, cleaned, and inspected the gutters of our new home. Two weeks after this work, one of the down spouts fell off (from the higher roof to a lower roof). I called Nick Rivers Gutters because I noticed on the receipt there was a mention of a warranty. They told me this did not fall under the warranty since they did not repair that section of the gutter only cleaned and inspected. Which makes me wonder what kind of inspection was this if a piece falls off two weeks later. This is a shame because we are looking to replace our entire gutter system with six inch gutters with gutter guards. We planned on using this company, but not now after seeing how they don't honor their warranty. read more

I have used Nick Rivers Gutters in past years with success. I originally selected this company compared to competitors listed on Angies List bc of the promise it advertises to provide before and after photos. This is helpful for roof gutters bc I can't see them to evaluate someone's work without the photos. On May 16th, I happened to be home when they came; they were here maybe 10 minutes and the water barely ran. As they were leaving I went out to ask if they had gotten all the gutters; they again promised photos by saying, "Yep, you'll see in the photos" and then left. The next day I received two photos - neither was a before and they didn't show anywhere close to all my gutters. When I asked where the rest of them were, I received an unnecessarily rude response. When I escalated the complaint to the owner, she tried to bully me into paying for a service that wasn't completed by saying she was just going to send my bill straight to collections. I simply asked that they fulfill their advertised promise of before and after photos and come take the photos - she refused saying it was too much of a bother even though their workers are the ones that didn't do it. I am asking them to: 1. Change their advertising & quit promising other consumers that they will get before and after photos if they aren't going to stand by that promise. 2. Come prove to me that they completed the work for which they want payment bc I was here and saw how briefly they worked and that they are avoiding providing the photos. Fair warning: Unfortunately, you just can't trust that this company will do what it says it will - try somebody else! read more
