    Several weeks after Superior Softwash came to my home and softwashed the roof I noticed browning on shrubs in the front of my home. Close to a month later my 25+ year old Norway Spruce and Blue Spruce turned brown almost overnight. I have also noticed a potted weeping Alaskan Cedar start to fail. I, as well as my landscaping crew, regularly water my property as I have thousands of dollars invested in decidous trees and shrubs as well as numerous mature conifers in my yard. My Baltimore County water bill is a good indicator of how I religiously water my landscape! I have employed Davey Tree Service, a licensed aborist, at my home for over 30 years. They come to my home during the Spring through fall seasons to inspect, fertilize and treat my landscape on a regular schedule. Davey Tree Service, as well as my landscaping company, were at my property just prior to the softwashing job. No damage to any plant material was seen at the time. After each visit I get oral as well as written reports from both parties in regard to any noticable plant/tree/shrub problems. When both returned in late August their reports noted the damage to trees and shrubs, as well as some perennials planted near my home. Another written opinion was sent to me from the arborist at the local Davey Tree service who came out specifically to inspect the damaged conifers. He supported all findings of the Davey Crew and the landscaping team servicing my property. The contract I signed with Superior Softwash was executed on my part, based soley on the promise that there would be, specifically, no damage to my "high value" (their words) landscape or koi pond. I spoke with their agent/salesman, in great detail about this and repeatedly noted that I had many valuable specimin trees and did not want to risk damaging or losing them. He added an addendum to the contract which stated "Guarantee Deluxe Plant Care - Significant/high value landscaping - water/neutralize/fortify - no plant loss guarantee - $75." He stated that his company had worked at numerous homes in Potomac, Maryland with similiar landscapes to mine and there had never been any problems. I asked him if this (the "guarantee" for which I was paying extra) was, in effect, like insurance against any potential damage to my landscape. His answer was "yes". There was never once any mention that damages had to be reported within a specific time when paying this additional fee. (Their site manager quoted a time frame of 10 days in an email after the damage appeared, while their standard written contract stated 14 days after completion for reporting damages.) I am not sure why I was charged an additional amount for what I perceived to be liability insurance when they would not honor the "Guarantee" added to the contract. I based my decision to employ their services ONLY after their agent added the "guarantee" which never included any time frame. Had he told me I would not be covered for any damages that presented after 10 or 14 days I would have never signed their contract. Conifers, especially more mature established trees, do not always show damage until a month or more. I did call another softwashing company to ask about their guarantees and I was informed that no softwashing company can guarantee against plant damage and they were surprised that I was given a guarantee by another company as they had never heard of such a thing in their industry. [[HIGHLIGHT]]I reported the damage to the agent (my only contact with the company at the time) as soon as I noticed it. He referred me to a woman in their office. I left a message for her and when I heard back the next week I was told the site manager would come out the next day to take a look. Nobody ever called or showed up the next day.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]I left messages again that week but got no response. After Davey Tree came out the following Monday to give their opinion as to the cause of the brown trees I contacted the office again. The woman in the office said she would leave a message again for the site manager. Instead, I asked for the site manager's direct phone number as it had been 12 days since I first reported the problem.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I was ready to call my attorney at this point as it seemed they were avoiding me. When I finally got an email from the site manager later that day he said I was out of the "10 day warranty" period but he would send his "plant crew" out to "hydrate the landscape and give nutrients to the plants that are in need of a little encouragement to bounce back". I declined as my entire yard had already been fertilized recently and more fertilizer would kill more of the trees, shrubs and plants in my landscape. I asked again for him to come out and see the damage first hand. [[HIGHLIGHT]]At this point I was told, to stop bothering him and his co-workers in their office as I was harrassing them![[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I will now have to bear the brunt of a very expensive bill to clean up the mess. I spent almost $2.600. for their service and the clean up will be more than 5 times that.

    Your team, with Max, came to softwash my house back at the end of August. It still looks FANTASTIC. They were very hard-working and took great care to do a very thorough job -- believe me, we hadn't washed our house in 5 years, so it really needed it. This has really helped with the mildewy smell we had before -- all smells really fresh now and looks so much more presentable. Plus, now we can tell what wood needs to be replaced -- no hiding it! Plus, both of these guys were intelligent and great to talk to! Will definitely use again. Thanks Max & Superior SoftWash!

    I hired Crystal Cleaning to clean my home on a bi- weekly basis. I loved my assigned crew and how…read morewell they cleaned. My review of the company would have been highly rated-just like a lot of the other reviews you will read. That is, until the day Crystal Cleaning switched my usual crew to a new crew. My normal crew had been overbooked, so Crystal Cleaning sent a new crew into my home. Crystal Cleaning assumed that I knew who they were. At that time, Crystal Cleaning also cleaned at my worksite. The particular crew that Crystal Cleaning sent into my home was the same crew that worked inside of our office, cleaning weekly every Monday and since that crew was a subcontractor, they also cleaned on Wednesdays on the side. The day the new crew came into my home, it just so happens both of my kids were home from school. My youngest, 16 years old, was sick in bed so when it came time for them to clean his room, he left his bedroom and went to the couch and watched T.V. By lunchtime, he called me at work to tell me he thought the cleaning girl who cleaned his room had stolen a very sentimental watch from his night stand. Which let's be honest, he should have put away. Nonetheless, the watch was there when the crew arrived and gone when they left. I asked Crystal Cleaning Management to check with the crew to see if they had simply misplaced the watch. The owner Crystal informed me that nobody had seen the watch. After being extremely patient and even informing Crystal of how I would be very forgiving if the watch would just find it's way back into our possession, I was only given more replies such as "we have an extremely strict zero tolerance policy for things like this" and "our crew didn't see the watch at all, they did see trash and cups on his night stand" (which isn't true because just like the rest of you, the night before the cleaning company comes, you tidy your place up! There was no such trash or cups on his night stand) I called Baltimore County Police to write up a report. Crystal Cleaning provided the crew information to the officer. With no talk of any kind of resolution on Crystal Cleaning's end and a long back and forth with Crystal and her office staff, I finally had to ask for their insurance information. Crystal never once offered that information up to me which I found odd when it clearly states they are both Insured and Bonded on their web site. I was given Selective Insurance Crime Bond information with a policy number. I wrote out a very clear and professional email with photos of the watch that was stolen as well as the contact information for the Baltimore County police officer who wrote the report. I asked to be updated with any progress. After a week of hearing nothing back, I emailed Selective Insurance asking for an update or a claim number. Selective replied back to me that I had no rights to the claim, that I was not party time the claim, as stated in Crystal Cleaning's policy and that I would have to speak directly to Crystal to get any further information on the claim. Needless to say, I emailed Crystal doing just that. Her reply was this: "I have followed up with selective and after speaking to the selective agent Selective looked into the claim and didn't find any basis for the claim, and will not pursue this claim." No basis for the claim? The watch was there when they arrived and gone when they left with nobody else coming in or out of my home. How is there no basis for a claim? I replied to Crystal in another email asking the following" Please provide specific details as to what investigation was done by Selective Insurance. An insurance company isn't paid to "look into" a claim; they are paid to investigate a claim. Please also provide specific details on how your company investigated this claim." That was 2 months ago...I have not gotten a reply from Crystal Cleaning to date. No investigation had been done whatsoever by the insurance company because they wouldn't even speak to me. Their policy is a joke and the company should be ashamed of themselves. This is the most unprofessional company I have dealt with. If you're looking to hire them, or if you're a current customer of theirs, happy or not, you deserve to know what can and will happen should a theft happen in your home or place of business. Lesson learned: Put valuables in a locked / hidden space. Maybe think of installing cameras in your kids bedrooms too...(obviously I would never...that's absurd!)

    I want to add a five-year update to my original review and say that this is the best cleaning…read moreservice ever. They have been consistently thorough in cleaning my home - and now, during the pandemic - have taken extra precautions to ensure the safety of both myself and the cleaning team (ask for Mayra - she is an excellent team leader). The service continues to be efficient, thorough, and reasonably priced. The business goes beyond the cleaning however and extends to special requests and cleaning needs. When I need to reschedule they are accomodating and professional. I can't imagine going with another professional cleaning service as I already have the best!
