***GIVE A READ BEFORE PURCHASING A VEHICLE*** *** A college…read morestudent 14k in debt AFTER owning jeep for 5 months*** *** Refuse to help because of "Lemon Law". No Good Will*** A couple months ago, I approached Tom and informed him that I was in need of a vehicle, preferably a jeep or truck. I explained I was a college student, my car was just stolen and I needed something that was reliable and fits my needs! There was a Jeep that had everything I was looking for. I asked as many questions as I could about this vehicle. Tom informed me that this Jeep was excellent, everything was tested, reliable and that "We stand by our vehicles and if something goes wrong, we do what's right to take care of the customer". And that there was nothing to worry about on the mileage (114,000k) because it was in excellent condition. I purchased the Jeep happily and feeling confident. The engine light came on 2 days after purchasing and he said it was nothing to worry about. Long story short, it's been 5 months and the engine need to be replaced. Every mechanic and dealership I brought the jeep too said that there was no way the seller didn't know something was wrong. Upon inspection, things were rigged up within the engine. I'm now a college student in Nursing school who is in 14k debt on a vehicle that I can't even drive. Have no money to fix or replace this engine. I called him for help and he kept trying to throw me off and put the problem onto the mechanic. Tom also said he would not help pay anything. The most he said he could do is inspect my jeep and fix it, but would charge me the full amount and would be 3 months out! remind you, winter is coming in 2 weeks. They do not care about their customers. They dont know what good will is. Don't recommend to anyone.

My husband and I bought 2 cars off of them...both them had the tranny go out within the first 6…read moremonths. 1st car we paid them over an extra 2 grand to put a used transmission in...after the first year that car wouldn't even pass inspection without 4k worth of work. So we traded it in to them to get another car. then yet again 6 months in the transmission went on that one...they weren't willing to help cuz it was covered by Fords warranty....which is 3 to 4 months backed up on parts....they weren't willing to work with us due to in order to fix it we would have to pay an insane amount of money to rent a car while it was out of commission for 4 months on top of paying our payments to them. So we went and got another car from an actual dealership and told them to come get the car we were done with dealing with them and were surrendering it. They sent a tow truck out to get it, which is exactly what we told them to do. except for the part of the letter saying " we were surrendering due to our inability to continue making payments and if we wish to bring our account current we could stop this process".. we only owe yall last weeks payment and this weeks since it shit the bed last week..a whole $170...like plz we told yall to come get it cuz we got 2018 Subaru Impreza Sport with only 55k on it for 20k with a hell of a lot lower interest rate when we were paying 12k for a 2015 Ford Focus with 111k through yall that broke down with in first 6 months.....we could still make the payments but why would we continue to make them to a company that sells shitty broken down cars. Get the hell over yallselves. FYI...I work in the repossession field so I know how voly surrenders work....interest doesn't continue to accrue....u sell the car at auction and it takes off the balance of the loan...nice try with that one guys..... I would steer clear of this company at all costs. They buy lemon cars cheap and sell them for 3 times what they are worth and prey on ppl who have no other option...guess what guys we did have other options...and we chose them over ya'll.

I was referred to the dealership manager Mr. Adam Beck a few years back and I cannot say enough…read morepositive things about him. He is busy yet every time I come to the dealership, he takes a moment to greet me and is genuinely a great person. He also will give you the best deal he can hands down when purchasing a car! I know because I have now purchased 3 VWs from him. He also manages the Basil Toyota dealership and I sent a colleague there who made a purchase because he again gave him the best deal around. The service department under Mr. Joseph Manko is also outstanding. Safety is extremely important to me as I have a large family with young drivers, and Basil VW is competent and very careful servicing our cars, and they get it right the first time! I known because we have 5 VWs and I take them there exclusively for service. The service department keeps our cars running great and safe, and this gives me peace of mind! Get to Basil VW, I promise you won't be disappointed!

I am very disappointed in Basil VW of Lockport where I have taken my SUV for 7 years…read more Unfortunately, the case of the soggy SUV continues with no resolution and over $500 on the same diagnostic test with two very different results. I had this appointment with Basil before I went to Northtown VW for my 2019 Tiguan for a diagnostic on a leak possibly from the sunroof. I found water pooling on the back passenger floor and no sign where it came from. I found this was subject of a lawsuit and settlement with VW in 2023 that included my VIN#. Northtown denied knowing anything about this service bulletin even when I showed it to them, but they would perform a water diagnostic test ($259) basically watering my car for 3 hours, take it apart to find the leak. They found defective parts, cleared out the debris, wrote up a detailed quote for $4800+ including items covered under the settlement, but they would not help with any coverage claim to VW and charged me the fee. I kept my Basil appointment, showed them the Northtown paperwork and yes, they had the service bulletin information! But, they must do the same diagnostic test again at $249.00 this time, but if they find warranty work, its covered. Of course, the minute the mechanic lifts the back rug he finds water, and some had gotten on the panel where you step in and proceeds to tell me the leak is actually coming from the back passenger window! Not part of the settlement. Ok prove it to me. According to him, the water came in through an outer rubber window seal (not broken, I have pictures) and these teeny tiny one of two streaks of water lines at the very bottom of the door are proof that 2 gallons of water went down that window and into the passenger floor area? I asked what he thought about the shrunk hoses that Northtown had claimed where there and defective, the sunroof glass being an issue too, everything on the report I gave them to confirm, but he hadn't looked because they have to take the liner apart and everything, which I thought was part of the diagnostic test! The same diagnostic test conducted differently? He said I wanted them to 'find the leak'. No! confirm the service bulletin and damages Northtown found so we can claim and get repaired!! Instead the mechanic saw a small puddle of water I had splashed on the rocker panel before the car went back, when I looked under the rubber floor mat and the water came pouring out on that part of the open door and also had spilled on the service entry floor! I put it back so when he lifted up the mat he would see the water too. Yet he he saw some water on a rocker panel and concluded it was the door seals with a couple tiny, dry drips (wet rocker, dry inside door? Easier to take off than a liner and look at hoses. There was no puddle inside the door or any trace of it. I questioned him and he couldn't come up with good answers about the window seal being in tact and the drips were - irrelevant. So another $269.00 with no repair in sight. BTW the recommended repair of the door and seals, $800.00 and does not include replacing the carpet. I took pictures, the seal is fine. They didn't do what I asked them to do and confirm the diagnosis, submit the claim to VW and schedule the repairs!! Also, the mechanic told me it is likely the tubes are defective as Northtown said, because they wouldn't put something like that in a report unless it was true and he was willing to do the same. But his bosses wouldn't allow it. They want me to go back again where he will take it all apart and look at the tubes in a couple weeks. Completely ridiculous and unnecessary if they did what I asked, not what he assumed. So this same test was conducted twice within 5 days and Iwo completely different 'causes' , one covered under a lawsuit and settlement, that the dealer (Northtown) won't submit, and this dealer (Basil) has the service bulletin, is willing to submit a claim, but won't confirm the information on their own and charges me for the same test as Northtown to get a result that makes no sense and will have to do over? Frankly, it's time for formal complaints and government authority to get involved. Very disappointed and I will not by another VW ever again.

My Subaru Outback's Infotainment screen began malfunctioning and was unresponsive. I called this dealership and was offered an immediate appointment. We brought the car in on a Saturday and it was repaired and returned to us the following Wednesday. I initially spoke with Cole on the telephone, and he was very helpful in getting my car right in. Once at the dealership, we were assigned Jonas Walker as our Service Advisor. We were given a loaner car to use while ours was being worked on. Jonas kept us informed of the status of the repairs, and we were pleased with how he handled our service. All in all, it was a good experience.

Most recently, I drove from Los Angeles to Buffalo and then Buffalo to Maine. On my way back to Buffalo from Maine, my dashboard lit up like a Christmas tree around Utica. I promptly pulled over, tried to let the car cool down, etc. I ended up driving back to Buffalo but knew I needed to get the car looked at and possibly repaired, ASAP especially because I was planning to drive back to Los Angeles the following day. After trying to take my car to the dealership I purchased it from, I ended up at West Herr Subaru in Lockport as it was suggested they may be able to get me back on the road faster. I called over to West Herr Subaru to see if this was indeed the case and spoke with Jonas Walker who would quickly become my Service Advisor and Subaru Superhero. Jonas couldn't promise me he could get my car diagnosed the same day (Monday) but was hopeful for the following day. Given the fact I was in such a pinch, I decided to drop my car off on Monday anyway and heard from Jonas later that afternoon (hallelujah). As suspected, my car was in serious need of repair and the parts probably wouldn't be in until Thursday - two days after I was scheduled to leave Buffalo - ah! Jonas did, however, inform me it could be a same day repair once the parts were in. Ok, I can work with this (driving like a madwoman loading). Around 9:30am on Thursday, I called West Herr Subaru and was told Jonas would be out for two-weeks and, truly, my stomach dropped - is he ok? Did he order the parts? What about my car? Rest assured, West Herr took great care of me and my now elderly Subaru. Another Service Advisor stepped in and informed me my car is ready for pick up! What?! OK, be right there! I was on the road by about 11:30am on Thursday and am very happy to report I am now back in Los Angeles and had a hassle free drive back. Thank you Jonas and West Herr Subaru for your timely and friendly customer service. MUCH APPRECIATED! Oh - can't forget the Josh Allen cut out I got when I picked up my car. I will be looking at that fondly ;)
