He doesn't quote me anything and maybe an hour and 30 mins goes by he comes back with a price. It was around 200 dollars. I notice he was kinda in a hurry to leave. The store closes at 3:30pm and me and him left at the same time around 3pm. I don't know maybe I was his last client of the day. Still have the same problem rear brakes are still bad and it almost seems like no work was done. Didn't show me the new parts that he got for the car nor did he show me the bad or old parts. I got recommended to come here and I don't know there haven't been any more recent reviews since this one I guess.

This is no way to do business, if you have business hours honor them.

My past experience with mechanics has been that I've been misled, repairs did not resolve the problems, or repairs have been unreasonably expensive. This was NOT the case at Mulhern's. Throughout my entire repair experience, Bob (who is the owner) was extremely courteous and professional. He clearly communicated with me and was very transparent. He shows genuine care for you as a customer and your car concerns. When I brought my car into the shop, Bob assured me that they would look into my belt complaints and reassured me that they would take a look at the vehicle overall and follow-up with an estimate. I received a follow-up call that day with the cost of repairs and was even alerted to a broken rear brake light which they would also replace. The repair costs were fair and affordable. Once repairs were complete, Bob explained in layman terms what had been wrong with my vehicle (it was the belts!) and, to my surprise, showed me the cracked belts that had caused the squealing. Bob also had a prepared list of his evaluation of my tires, brakes, battery power and other potential issues to keep an eye on for future repairs and the most urgent issues. I had recently had body work after an accident and he flagged missing clips on my bumper. I never felt pressured to make any additional repairs that day. I have an older vehicle, and even with my diligence, I am always concerned about unexpected repairs. Bob made me feel confident about the condition of my car and getting back on the road. Before I left, I was even given a free ice scraper which came in handy in the icing rain that morning! It's been one week and things are still all quiet. I was told by Gormleys Auto to take my vehicle here for some minor issues…read moreOut of the three issues I was having they only fixed one and created 3 issues that I was not having before I went to them The owner Charlie is a condescending game playing liar always saying what his son is going to fix and clearly the son has not been properly trained at all he couldn't even fix a faulty key fob or think to just order a new one after 4 tries to fix it. By the way the key fob still doesn't work the check engine light is still on as well as other indicators that they caused. I had a 2013 with 159000 miles on it I had a mechanic tell me the truck was in good condition. After taking it to Charlie's I had to pay it off and get rid of it they messed my truck up and kept acting like they were fixing it but in reality they were causing more issues this is a horrible auto shop and if you want stress and headaches along with empty promises lies and unskilled mechanics breaking things that were not broken and unable to fix the issues this is the best place for you!!! oh I almost forgot and charging fees for their disgusting horrible service!
