I love a good roast beef sandwich so when I found out my husband had to travel to Marlborough, MA for work, I asked him make a stop at Nick's for a Super Roast Beef 3 Way since I had heard they had one of the best sandwiches around. We live more than an hour away from Nick's, so the sandwich was cold by the time I was able to try it, so I warmed it in the microwave for a few seconds. The roast beef was cooked perfectly; thin sliced and rare. I wished it came on an onion roll (I'm not a fan of sesame) and had more barbecue sauce because I like a messy sandwich, but it was very good overall. Nick's Deli & Pizza has a huge menu and I would have liked to try more of it, so I guess I'll have to make a trip there myself someday. read more

They changed their name from Nick's to Stella's but kept the same garbage. Unless you want to wait 20 minutes just for a regular roast beef sandwich and fries, I suggest you take your business somewhere else. I first went here back when it was Nicks and the service continued to go downhill until I gave up and just stopped wasting my time. Then I saw that they changed the name so I figured that they got new, better management. Nope. Just the same waste as time. My sandwich actually sat on the counter for 5 minutes before the girl noticed. Then she went and got the fries. Man. She couldn't have cared less just like the management in this dump. I order food at Nick's frequently and I also take advantage of there weekly specials. The food is great and the owner care about her customers. The place is always clean. The head cook is excellent. He always makes sure that my fries have no salt and the steak tip wrap is always stuffed with steak and rice. He knows my restrictions and works hard to remember them. I ordered a super beef, small french fries and bottle of soda which should have come to a total of $19.63 including the Massachusetts mail tax but was charged $24.05!! She overcharged me $4.42. More like 3.5 stars because the chicken was almost shredded and very thin but flavored nicely and a good helping of it and rice could use a little flavor but the portion was a good size helping as well. Ok so it was Superbowl Sunday & we were having our regular shindig at the BFF's house & we needed somewhere that gave us enough food for a good price... So somehow she heard about Nicks & that they had some pizza specials (boys, Kids, Who doesnt love pizza - SOLD!)... So the special was 2 Lg Cheese for $10.99, well turns out you can only get 2, so ordering 8 pizzas wasnt gonna work out for us... But when we called he informed us of a special for the SuperBowl... 6 Pizzas, wings for $39... We were pleased & then we just called back & placed a seperate order for the 2 for 10.99 ( we are soo sneaky huh?)... So we get there & the place was very nice & clean, everything looked brand new, not like your usual pizza/sandwich joint where the furniture looks like its been coated in grease for the last 20 years... AND it smelled PHENOMENAL in there... So we tell them we are there & they look at my gf like we are crazy... well turns out they had wrote her name down wrong & when she asked for hers they got all nervous like they didnt make it... (well the kid who worked there did) but the Mgr quickly jumped in his ass like WTF... So I was impressed with that, make the customer feel like they are right & dont just talk shit to me while joking it off with the work! And if you know me when I walk in anywhere Im usually checking in, so my GF was teasing me as I walk in & said it out loud " Guess whos checking in", the Mgr heard me & was like, Yeah we need good reviews & he was real personable, but it didnt seem fake just because I was reviewing them... and I told him Customer Service is great, but I have to eat it first... But as we go through each one there are BIG burnt holes in each one, some almost consuming an entire slice, weird - but just kinda makes you go hmmmm... So the pizza.... It was perfect crust, perfect cheese to sauce ration - but I just didnt love the sauce, it was clearly homemade which is great for subs & pastas, but for pizza it was just a LITTLE too sweet for me (and this is coming from someone who doesnt love red sauce even though Im super Italian)... so dont take my word for it... The wings were good, everything was good... and after reading the reviews here I cant wait to go back & try the Roast Beef... So yes we will DEFINITELY be back to Nicks, I want to try more of the menu so I can make a better decision... Margarita pizza was great! Delicious and cheesy! I was excited about the concept of the Sweet Home Alabama calzone. (Nutella? Yes please!) But their menu on Grub Hub did NOT advertise that it comes with cheese, and the cheese they used does not melt. The texture was like rubber bands. I called the deli and received horrible customer service. At first, they said it was the marshmallows... and then switched their story to say it was the cheese. I was accused of trying to find an excuse to get a refund, both before and after I sent him the attached picture. The line he ended with was that they use real cheese, that they received this complaint before, but that this is one of their most popular dishes. I never leave a one star review and I understand that people have bad days, but no manager should ever act this rude and accusatory to a customer. Here's the picture I sent to the manager, to which he replied accusing me of making up an excuse for money. ‍ I'm also including a picture of the menu that he admitted was wrong but was apparently "Grub Hub's fault". You'll note that some of the calzones mention they come with cheese, but the Sweet Home Alabama does not. Make your own opinion about the calzone, but buyer beware. If you find rubber band textures or rude customer service off putting, don't bother with this establishment. I love supporting small businesses, but this was not worth it. read more

What happened to Nicks?! Ordered an Italian sub lettuce tomatoes pickles and onions got lettuce peppers (not even a option on the menu) and pickles. In my life I have never seen cold cuts cut this thin... like I can see through the cold cuts. Grabbed a pie from here over the weekend and I was impressed. I was first drawn to it bc you could order online and pretty good reviews. Placed my order for a bbq chicken pie and went to pick it up. The establishment is pretty clean and well kept with booths and high tops. Plenty of staff working and they were friendly and welcoming. Upon getting back, the smell was killing me the whole time. Could smell that Greek style crust and sauce and the grilled chicken on top. Similar to Andrea's Pizza in Watertown. First bite was piping hot, even after being in the car for 10 minutes. So hot I wanted to sue them for everything for burning my tongue! Kidding, first bite was very hot and I let the cheese and chicken fall to the plate. Went back for it later using my fingers and it was awesome. Like Buzz eating the cheese in Home Alone before Kevin could have a slice. I ordered a large Italian sub. When I picked it up I could tell they barely put any meat in it. It felt like a piece of bread wrapped up. When I confronted them about the lack of meat , I was told there was 6 slices of meat. I told him to look how thin they were. He then said "sorry" that's how we do it. First off, I ordered delivery, so I don't know what the actual restaurant interior is like. I ordered a small plain pizza for a 7 year old, which was just perfect for him, and he definitely approved. I ordered a salad with chicken for an 8 year old. She liked it, but didn't seem to think the lettuce was appealing, but honestly we're talking about an 8 year old so take that with a grain of salt. It looked fine to me. I got a chicken Caesar wrap, which was perfectly acceptable. It was tasty and needed salt, but then again I always like my food super salty (I know, I know). So all in all I was pleased, the delivery came quicker than they had predicted, and I will definitely be ordering again when I need food delivered fast after hockey practice! read more

Before I write this review, let me cry in a little corner that a one review orangehead got the FTR. ::Cries:: Okay... I've had the super beef twice and it is tops on roast beef sandwiches. The onion roll was awesome and toasted. The meat was nice and pick and tender. The BBQ sauce had just the right flavor for roastbeef. And they actually have horseradish (if you're going to put roast beef in the NAME of your deli you at least need to have it, even if it isn't a staple for the sandwich). Also, the pockets are amazing... nice fresh pita. And kudos for taking credit cardsand NOT having a minimum. That seems to be a challenge around these parts for some places. Ordered 2 pizzas a few days ago and when I asked for the total I was told $24.99. I went inside to pay with my card and I was charged $30.99. When I asked "why are you charging me extra?", the guy couldn't even answer me, instead just pointed to a small sheet of paper with small writing saying that if you pay with a card you get charged more. I stopped carrying cash due to COVID. I'm sorry but charging customers extra on card purchases is just wrong, especially during a pandemic. Also it is your responsibility to pay for the card company fees, not the customer's. Charging customers more money just because they're paying with a card is not the customer's problem. read more

I don't really care for pizza. I'll eat it if it's there but it's not something I'll go out of my way for. That being said, Nick's pizza is something I go out of my way for. I order pizza from here at least once a week. Its that good ! Its not just the pizza either. Deciding what to get from Nick's is always a challenge. The fish and chips is always good as is the haddock. The steak tips dinner was one of my favorites for a long time and for the price you won't find better food anywhere in Marlborough. I ordered here for the first time about a month ago, as they streamlined their ordering process and added the ability to order online. The food is pretty good, but I've noticed that they are kind of stingy about things like sandwich toppings and sauces. The menu is lacking in description of what exactly comes in many of the items - I've ordered a roast beef sandwich which literally just came dry on a bun. The roast beef itself was pretty good, but I would have specified that I wanted dressings if I knew that it didn't come with any. Same thing happened with a seafood salad sub I ordered, it was just plain seafood salad with no pickle etc. I do really like their boneless wings, but again you only get one blue cheese for like 10 wings. read more
