The Irate Irishman (corned beef, spicy mayo, swiss, banana peppers, tomato and romaine)
    Brittany L.

We love Vin Bin! We frequent often and my favorite is the Angry Italian. My husband changes what he gets frequently but tends to lean towards getting the Townie. Their clam chowder is *chefs kiss* as is their Butternut Squash soup when it's in season. I will say, though, if the Irate Irishman is ever on special, run - do not walk to get it. It is by far my favorite aside from the Angry. (It's corned beef, spicy mayo, swiss, banana peppers, tomato and romaine - usually on rye!)

    Spicy Cuban..??
    Mike M.

I'm sorry to say this place is going downhill, it was the best sandwich place in the area. All of sudden the tuna got salty, the staff got sloppy and treat their customers like they're idiots. Twice now I've asked for extra pickles in an online order and was rewarded with no pickles at all in return, on a tuna bacon cheddar. Now I have a spicy Cuban, one of my favorite sandwiches yet they substituted the regular pork with a cured deli meat(look it's pink). I'm sure it is pork but the flavor and texture difference means I won't finish it. And I'm a big guy known to finish my food. If you don't have the ingredients 86 the sandwich! I'm a forgiving person but the pattern isn't looking good over the course of weeks.

Butternut Squash Soup with Ricotta and Pepitas

This is the best butternut squash soup I've ever had in my life. The ricotta adds a beautiful flavor and texture to an already rich and creamy soup. The pepitas give it the perfect crunch. It's delicious and satisfying.

    Dry Chicken Ridiculous

Been to the Vin Bin many many times, maybe too many times. Got the chick n ridiculous to split and two chowders, a clam because usually it's good there.. and buffalo chicken chowder, because I've never tried it. my boyfriend said sandwich, was dry! Clam Chowder - I don't know what I was eating, besides the clam here and there, it was like slimy cheesy butter and oil and honestly I lost my appetite. I did try the Buffalo Chicken dip, I mean chowder. Sorry Vin Bin... not a happy camper over here.. I was really looking for are to what I normally enjoy. Oh, and $30 down the drain!

First visit to a The Vin Bin location. Marlborough MA After reading the reviews and viewing the delicious looking sandwiches we decided to give them a try. When you walk in, you are stopped by some large chest high wall, on the other side of this wall it looks like it was once a bar or serving area and now it is just clutter appearing to be a mess... They sell all sorts of wine and some craft beer to go. Both my guest and I ordered The Ruben sandwich The corned beef was good, the sandwiches were both cold- the corned beef was cold and the Swiss cheese not melted. To me the Ruben should be hot. The sandwiches were under cooked/panini pressed at $13.99 each and no pickle. We had a soda and seltzer Total was $35.75 Perhaps their other sandwiches are better ?

Creative sandwiches & nourishing soups. Enjoy food in the store or take home with you. Great variety of wines, beers and some speciality food items like cheese spreads, olives...as well. so grateful I finally adventured inside this local gem that has friendly staff, thoughtful food choices (thank you for a variety of vegetarian options) and they also host a variety of events from book clubs to wine tastings. This may become a weekly hangout spot.

    Clam Chowder

Ordered the Townie and I WAS BLOWN AWAY! I've never had roast beef this tender and not dry. The Northeast does not play with their roast beef. The horseradish mayo paired so well in the sandwich and gave it a nice kick. I was visiting from out of state so I had to order the clam chowder, and this was my first Massachusetts clam chowder I tried and it was packed with so much clams! The clams were not chewy and overcooked. It was super soft, almost like an oyster texture. I loved it! Only thing was that it was a tad salty. If it had less salt, it would've been perfect.

    Angry Italian
    Abigail C.

I got the Angry Italian sandwich, which was delicious only they forgot the provolone. I asked for no mayo or mortadella so thats also why it looks a bit thin in the picture. I only wish I had asked for extra lettuce! My boyfriend got the Firehouse Smoked Turkey, his had provolone on it. Cashier was kind and let me know they were out of a couple things right away, which helped me choose my sandwich. We want to go back soon to try the meatball sandwich, and I'm going to give the Angry Italian another try! Can't believe I've lived here my whole life and haven't tried VinBin!

    Tuna bacon cheddar
    Melissa L.

Friendly staff (can't emphasize in my reviews how much this adds to every experience). And the only place that I can find my favorite tuna bacon cheddar. When I don't know what to get, I always come back for that. But they have lots of choices and always good stuff on their specials board, so I always keep my eye out for that. Also, you can get alcohol and beer and goodies to bring home. One stop shopping, doesn't get better than that! PS. They make custom gift baskets!

My experience here was phenomenal. Upon entering we were immediately greeted by many of the staff. One girl offered my husband and I beer floats. We ordered the Reuben and the angry Italian along with chips and one of the local sodas. My husband and I were so jealous of each other's sandwiches that we swapped half of each. The ingredients tasted fresh and were so flavorful. We can't wait to stop by for more sandwiches.

The star of the show is the sandwich selection, all on a choice of focaccia or seeded roll, with many including stracciatella, a thick, white, creamy, Buratta-like cheese. Almost every item in the store-- from meats to cheeses to drinks to candies and snacks-- is imported from Italy and you can taste the difference. This ain't your daddy's Boar's Head. -- Tutto: Tried on focaccia, with Mortadella, Soppressata, Capicola, Prosciutto, Provolone, Stracciatella Cheese, Tomatoes, Onions, Pickles, Hot Cherry Peppers, and Garden Greens. Very creamy cheese, almost mayoey in texture. It took some adjustment on my first try, but I got used to it quickly. Strong flavors overall. Very enjoyable. -- Matto: Tried (on two different visits) on a grilled seeded roll, this packed Prosciutto, Soppressata, Sharp Provolone, and Hot Cherry Peppers. Bold flavors from the coldcuts, sharp cheese, and perfectly toasted bread, all in the right proportions to enjoy every flavor and texture. This was spectacular and will be a repeat sandwich for many visits to come. Excellent sandwiches. Nice people. Easy ordering via Toast (they don't have a website). Limited hours-- weekday lunches only-- and hard to spot, but in the same parking lot as the convenience store. I'm not an authority on Italian sandwiches but I've had my fair share from the "name" places in and around Boston, and this unknown gem from the outer suburbs ranks right up there with them. Some may argue they charge Boston prices, but for Boston quality without the Boston hassle, well worth it. Solidly in my lunch rotation.

If you're looking for upscale boutique sandwiches, curated charcuterie boards, and a cozy atmosphere with owners who truly care, this is the place to go. My family and I discovered them a couple of years ago, tucked under the West Acton Village building, and they've quickly become our favorite sandwich shop and gourmet cheese market. My son, who is in college always makes a point to get their sandwiches when he is back home. Their sandwiches are upscale, boutique creations. Our family favorite is the Ploughman's Lunch: rosemary ham, mango chutney, pickled red onion, cheddar, and lemony arugula on a Portuguese roll. It's the perfect balance of savory, tangy, and fresh. Our second go-to is the Pig and Fig, which is just as delicious. They also have gluten free bread available. In addition to the sandwiches, their cozy shop sells cheeses (if you love blue cheese you have got to try Rogue River!!), charcuterie, natural wines, craft beer, and carefully curated accompaniments like jams and chutneys. I've gifted their chic napkins and artisanal jams many times, and they always make the perfect host or hostess gift. They even carry unique finds like Bret's goat cheese and chili pepper potato chips, which I can't find anywhere else! On Fridays, they even have free wine tastings, which are such a fun way to discover new bottles. The owners Dawn and Tamara (aka Eve and Murray) are incredibly friendly and passionate about what they do. You can tell they put thought into every cheese, wine, and gift item they bring into the shop!

Believe It…read more Tucked inside a Shell gas station in Marlborough, Karine's is an unexpected gem delivering way more than you'd ever expect from its humble location. We tried two pizzas and a dessert, and every bite was a pleasant surprise. The pizza crust is a standout--chewy in the best way, with a satisfying texture and flavor that doesn't rely on toppings to carry it. It's not dry or bland like you sometimes get at quick-serve spots; this was clearly crafted with care. The sauce hits a great balance--neither overly sweet nor harshly acidic--providing a smooth, savory backdrop for the toppings. We ordered two varieties: pepperoni and mushroom. The pepperoni itself was average in quality, but it was spread generously and evenly, and the overall composition of the pizza made it work. Nothing felt skimped, and the proportion of crust to topping was spot on. The mushroom pizza was even better--made with fresh mushrooms (not canned!), giving it a noticeably better flavor and texture. We'd absolutely order that one again. And then... the churros. These weren't your standard sugar-dusted fare. They were bite-sized, crispy, and stuffed with caramel--basically little golden miracles. Addictive is an understatement. All of this came at a very affordable price, making Karine's not just a great surprise, but a seriously good value. If you're anywhere near Marlborough, don't let the gas station setting fool you--this place is punching way above its weight. We'll be back.
