Hungry man #1. Sorry I was so hungry I forgot to take a pic before I started. Peameal is superb.

Peameal is outstanding. Cool old building with wrap around veranda seating. Could use some TLC but the breakfast is very good. Recommend Pancakes or eggs and peameal.

My favourite place for breakfast. You can eat outside in the summer. Servers are sweet and hard working. Prices very reasonable. If you like a well loaded, real mozzarella cheese pizza, this is the place for you.

First Impression: The exterior represents a large family home once you pull into the parking lot. The seating area is spacious, easily accomadatable for a group of 4-6. The dining area was packed with locals in the area, with seating being a choose-where-you want situation. Food: We ordered a Combo 1 Hungry man that was shared between my parter and I. The bacon, scramble eggs tasted good, with everything tasting not too oily or burnt. We also ordered a regular sized Greek Salad that was also sharable. The salad itself was not too saucey, and had the perfect amount of feta! Final thoughts: The food experience was good and pricing was reasonable. My only tip is that you may need to be proactive when you enter the restaurant if you're not a local passing by. As noted in the previous reviews, the waiters didn't pay us much attention once we arrived and sat down. We needed to take initative to ask for the menu and for glasses of water. Otherwise, this place is a cozy spot if you're looking for a wholesome meal!

Went to Muskoka with friends in the thanksgiving long weekend, found this place on Yelp. Apparently it's a very popular place in local, it was thanksgiving Sunday but still no empty spot in the room. We waited for about 10 minutes. For breakfast I always order pure pancakes (no bacons and eggs) and that's my "tool" to judge a breakfast restaurant. And the pancakes they made here were amazing! It was crispy on the edge and fluffy towards the inner side, the bottom was a little over roasted but made the outside even more crispy. Unlike many other places whose pancakes are soft but sloppy, what this place made was just perfect. My friends had the full plate with peameal bacon, they said the bacons were too salty. The service was great, don't know if that lady was the owner but she was very nice to us, given that we were the only asian table in the room.

    Perfectly crispy pepperoni pizza

We were passing by Bracebridge on the way back from camping and were hungry. The kids and hubby wanted pizza and I wanted something a bit healthier like a wrap. Enter Nick's Family restaurant. We called ahead and ordered 2 medium pizzas and a pork souvlaki wrap with Greek salad. Nick's is one of the few restaurants in downtown Bracebridge that has a parking lot so this made it very easy to navigate our SUV with platform hitch attached, to pick up our food. The food was ready on time and hot and fresh. Both kids and husband loved the pizza. It tasted home made, had a good amount of cheese and was cooked perfectly. The size of the pizza's were huge. A medium at Nick's is akin to a large at other pizza chains. The pork souvlaki wrap was delicious. Perfect amount of toppings and sauce. Greek salad was fresh. They have a charming outdoor patio that looks very inviting. Will definitely return when visiting Bracebridge again.

While the prices are similar to a nice downtown Toronto restaurant, the quality of the food and, more importantly, the nuanced difference in taste that their new chef brings, make it worth it. My wife and I stayed at the Northridge Inn for a couple of days and went to Renard Room twice. For dinner we had: - Tomato salad: The tomatoes were so sweet and juicy! Apparently they get it straight from a farm 15 minutes away, and you could taste how fresh they were. Plus the serving size was pretty big for a salad, so we were off to a good start. - Fried chicken: The skin was nice and crispy while the meat itself was still tender. The side vegetables tasted really fresh (again, the nearby farm delivered!), and the chili cornbread added some interesting heat to the dish. - Gouda squash ravioli: Sooooooo muuuuccchhh cheeeeeese (which I love)!!! Also, very generous helping of squash and lots and lots of ravioli. There was so much of it that we even had some to take away :) - Apple crumble: While the 'crumble' part was well executed, the star was the apple - thinly sliced slivers of fresh sweetness. For the breakfast buffet, they offered standard stuff like pancakes, muffins, fruits and cake. Sounds like typical breakfast fare (which it was), though there were some interesting twists: pancakes were flavoured with pumpkin spice, the muffins were bacon cheddar, and the cake was a chocolate swirl coffee cake. Nice little touches here and there to differentiate a standard breakfast offering. So while it's a bit too far to make the drive just for the Renard Room, definitely give it a try if you're in the area. Produce, fruits and veggies are fresh and of the highest quality, and the chef has interesting takes on old staples. Highly recommend!

You don't have a lot of choices, but what they offer is good. I had the vegetable omelette for breakfast and it was very well prepared. It was a country omelette that was still moist inside. The vegetables and herbs balanced the richness of the eggs and the generous amount of cheese put a smile on my face. It comes with a serving of cubed potatoes that were fried properly and that were not too greasy. The bread was toasted a bit too brown for my taste, but nothing alarming. Finally, a little note on the place. You order at the cashier before you sit. However, if it's your first time, just take a menu, sit down, and take your time. The staff is friendly and they lady who served me had a great smile and attitude. Unfortunately, there isn't a lot of breakfast place in Parry Sound. What's really invigorating is that you don't have to come to Fairways Bar & Grill because you have to. You can come because you know it'll be a good start to your day.

After the long winding drive we got to the clubhouse. Felt kinda out of place not being golfers, but the sign said "Visitors Welcome". The atmosphere was very nice, staff very polite and professional. Prices not too bad, we both had the Fairway Breakfast, price included coffee as well which was a bonus as most are priced separately. Big shoutout to the caddie who picked is up in the parking lot so we didn't have to walk up that giant hill, lovely sense of humor, which helped take the edge off the awkwardness. Made us feel very welcome, thank you!! Would definitely go back again next time we are up.

The best part it had very little sugar. Only if I had it warmed. The soup and wrap came quickly after. The soup had almost entire lentils which we assumed would be under cooked. We were wrong. The lentils cooked to perfection. The coconut milk creamy. A bit under seasoned for the Mrs, but I didn't mind. I did want some spice though. Added some black pepper but didn't do anything. The wrap with lots of salad greens and rice. Carrots and veggies. The rice and tortilla was warm. The service was good as well. The place has a small area for buying some nut milk and other stuff. There is also a shelf full of books for customers sit and enjoy.

The owner was quite busy running around, serving people, grabbing drinks from the bar, taking orders, cleaning tables & bringing out food. It would have been nice if he had a waitress to cover the customers who were seated instead of him trying to do everything. He would make us fish & chips with halibut even though it was not on the menu. The order included soup or salad so my husband got the house salad with dressing & I got the bacon potatoe soup. Both were a good size portion and I really enjoyed my soup! The orders came with 2 large crispy & very hot portions of halibut and fries. We probably could have shared an order but we didn't know how big they were. Excellent dinner and fixed our cravings for this. Was so hungry I slathered the tartar sauce on & was digging in so fast... so tasty & almost forgot to take photos. I will come back next time so try their Greek food...
