They have good collection of sweet pies too and everything is made fresh. BOTTOM LINE: Best breakfast spot in town? Probably. I was told this was the "best breakfast spot in town" from locals I it definitely didn't disappoint. It also offers a good alternative to the greasy spoon options around, though their "BORING BREAKFAST" for $5.99 covers that option as well. A family owned business (what isn't in this neck of the woods?), they bake their own pastries and breads, which are pretty damn delicious. I ordered their BELGIAN STYLE BUMBLEBERRY WAFFLES, which came with a rich cream over melted berries and spices. I also purchased a loaf of their BUMBLEBERRY BREAD, which definitely had a good heft to it. It was soft and buttery to the bite. They had a variety of other breads that looked pretty good as well. If you ever find yourself up here (say, for the Winter Driving Course by Ian Law Racing...), you owe it to yourself to swing on by. read more

Best Pie !!! As close to your moms homemade as you can get. Apple today baked at home, spice perfect, crust flaky and flavourful. Pass on the crap from the grocery store and do yourself and your family a favour, get a pie from Molly's. I've had a her hand pies and pies lots of flavours to date and they won't disappoint. After reading the yelp reviews we decided to stop and grab some late breakfast on our way home. We weren't disappointed. The girls each had a crepe meal that came with a slice of bacon and a nice piece of lemon cranberry loaf and a huge orange slice. Mom and I had the big boy breakfast and it was awesome. Perfectly done. Not greasy in the slightest. The sausage (usual a boring meatube) was super flavourful and something worth trying even if you aren't a huge breakfast sausage fan. Baked beans were perfect. Dad actually went with the lunch sandwich special which was a Cuban beef. It looked yummy but since he wouldn't share I can only assume it was good since he wolfed it down. Paired with a very hearty beef barley soup which he also proclaimed to be superb. If you want a great meal in Minden then I couldn't recommend better! read more

Friendly staff. However, I visited based on the great reviews of the homemade soups and got what I can only assume was tomato paste straight out of the can. My sandwich looked beautiful but had almost no taste to it. We won't come back to this one. read more

I had the boring breakfast and it was anything but boring. Great service, great food, and a huge selection. I'd consider myself a breakfast snob and I was pleased with everything down to the homemade jam. Girlfriend had "a gals gotta eat" and enjoyed. One thing we noticed is the bfast food, as good as it was, was not super greasy. We didn't leave feeling lethargic/disgusting. I grabbed an apple caramel pie to cook later. Excited to see how that turns out. When I'm in Minden I typically make my own breakfast because it's my favourite meal. It's often the case that these little bakery-cafes offer an experience that will draw you out of your way for a repeat visit, so my partner and I had high hopes when we visited Molly's last weekend for lunch. Unfortunately, we were surprised by the lack of quality / care in the food preparation and left hungry. Western Omelette (which contained no veg) had been cooked, motionless, in what must have been a large puddle of oil until it was dark brown on the bottom and the eggs had set on top, then folded over with some cheese inside. It was saturated with oil. My partner's Tuscan crepe was similarly oily, then topped with additional oily sauces. Coffee was Keurig k-cups, and juice was the same 8 oz bottle of concentrate that you might find at a gas station. $32 + tip for the above. It's hard to make sense of the variation in reports of this place - perhaps the flooding in the town (bridges closed / sandbags everywhere) has impacted key staff. If this is the case I wish them well but, based on our experience, we won't be returning. read more

Visited Molly's on our way to camping, I ordered the vegan paradise and my boyfriend ordered the steak and eggs. We also got a blueberry handpie to go. The meal was first of all delicious, homemade bread and jam to accompany. It also kept us full during our rigorous 4 hour hike! The handpie was amazing and a great treat in the forest. read more

Wonderful spot. Food was homemade and very tasty. Soups are excellent. Had our 8 year old son and he loved it as well.

I had the big boy breakfast and it was delicious. The service and the staff are awesome also. I would come back for sure!
