NOW that they are the only craft store in town they have declined and become very expensive. They use to be more of a craft store and now they are more of a home goods store. They carry a lot less DIY items and less arts and crafts overall. My10 year old niece was even turned off by going in. You NEVER see anyone to get help or ask questions. So you have to wait in line to ask for assistance and even then it is not great. For example: she is looking for things to keep her busy for the summer. Like candle making. They did NOT even have the basics. So we bought the basics that they had and then had to order the rest from amazon. Just to get the basics. She had 4 other crafts on her list but they just did not have it. She was looking for tie dye. They had NOTHING. They had T-shirts but nothing else. We went over to Walmart and got tons of tie dye. The stores are not even fully stocked. I saw a lot of empty space . One last really weird thing. My niece was looking for the mini sticker maker. She was even willing to spend 80 on it. They carry the refill but they do NOT carry the sticker maker. Why is this???????? If someone figures out what their goal is I wish someone will explain it to me. The third associate, Belinda, went above and beyond to help me find what I was looking for by checking the back storeroom for me and asking me how many of the item I needed. Five minutes later, she came back with arms full of the wood logs I was looking for! She was so helpful and I had a great experience in the store because of her and the helpful of the other team members. I look forward to going back.

I recently placed an order for some "BattleTech" products. It wasn't in stock at the store last week, but it was at another location. They said it would take a week to transfer the material to the Va Beach location and I agreed and left my number with them for when it arrived to the store. A week later I called to check the status and the product was still at the Newport News location. I called the NN location and let call and confirmed the product was in stock and I told them I was on my way to get the material. About an hour later (I live in Va Beach) and upon arrival the product was not on the shelf. So I checked with the register and see if they pulled it. Long story short the material wasn't there. The person who took my call wasn't there anymore and didn't tell the rest of the staff. So I inquired with the assistant manager who called the other locations and turns out the material was at the Va Beach location and told me that the material was transferred to the store two days prior and yet didn't call me. So the manager calls the Virginia Beach and talks to someone and confirms the material is at the store. They say its there and the manager apologies and I tell them to let the Virgina Beach store I am on my way again. I get to the VA Beach store and no one really knows about the order yet again and they can't find it. At5 this point after 2.5 hours of driving around I am frustrated, and the staff can tell. It takes them about 20-25 minutes to find the order, but it finally located. What did the staff do to make this better, Nothing, no discount or any offers or whatever. I didn't make any demands of such but after they had me wasted all that time driving around. The logistics management here is just poor. They lost the order effectively, took them a week to "transfer" a product to another store, and can't make a phone call. I been have been a long time customer (years) and this was just a huge let down.

I've made 2 car purchases from them and countless part purchases never had a problem. There's no returns, but you genuinely won't need to return something unless YOU've got some extenuating circumstances. I've hung out there fixing up my older car and driving my newer one. Apparently they're willing to change their place up too. I returned today after a year or closer to 2 year break from the hobby and they've changed their layout. They now have a drift track instead of a crawl track! Might not change often but hey that's neat that they're adding variety to their "playground". I definitely recommend this place with high praise. The hobby's not cheap, but you're getting a good deal at Coastal. Go check em out.

Since we were near my former beach house and had finished eating dinner, we decided to try this one last store before going home. The store was still open, but they were getting ready to close. Looking around I saw a number of things that might be useful, but I did not buy anything here, but a decal for my car, my wife's car and my sister inlaw. It would seem the window decal I liked was the very last one. I will get one chance to put this decal of an American Dog Flag up on my window. The service her was okay. The manager was counting money so I understand why he did not say hello. Allie, greeted me when she saw me walking towards her department. This is a large store with a lot of merchandise to be bought. I did not visit the upstairs this time around. My mind was thinking about what store will one of my characters buy for her friend Peters. My mind was wondering when my wife said she was ready to go. I have decided that this store will be the place I use for my novel. I certainly enjoy how big this store is. Glad to see it is still here.

One of the most organized and clean vintage toy shops we have walked into. They didn't have the Barbies I needed but lord knows they had everything that could light up my husbands face. The even offered to keep their eyes open for my missing Barbie Go visit them, on 17 in Yorktown right before the train tracks. The name is Uncle B's Toys and Collectibles, very nice owner
