The primary problem with their pizza is a complete lack of flavor. The dough was flavorless, the sauce is flavorless, and the mushrooms are flavorless makes for flavorless pizza.. The crust wasn't half bad though, but I would not go back until they sprinkle flavor on it. read more

Former owner was great and even if things didn't go right he would own up to it. He even sometimes did delivery himself! I ordered twice this week under new (always give second chances) and both were sub par. Tonights delivery took 90 minutes and two pizza arrived with completely uncooked wet crust and one burned. Horrible. When I called I was told simply "we are just very busy". No apology. I'm still hungry. (Ps the app said the pizza was on the way when it was still at the shop. admitting I have been coming here over 10 years makes me feel so old haha! But its for a good reason. I used to work within walking distance and on the off chance, I tried the greek chicken wrap. - my go-to since I am made out of olives and feta (see all other reviews basically) and it was SO good! So much so, in fact, that out of any given 5 day work week these friendly fellows got to see my face at least 2-3 of them. I'd wait until exactly 4 mins before I got a lunch break same scenario " Hi, can I get a Greek Chicken Wrap to go please:?" With Extra Feta With extra olives With extra dressing With extra lettuce... yeah I guess just stuff it up for me then." Not 4 mins later tender grilled chicken coated in dressing and oregano, mounds of feta and cool lettuce tomatoes and onions were not able to get in my belly fast enough. Or often enough! .Yes, I did tire eventually and get other things like great pizza, large salads( kens dressings) and burger plates that I had no complaints about ever. They are right over the dreaded commuter rail tracks, just before the police station on the same side of the street. There is usually plenty of parking or a spot to grab to run in quickly and get take out - THOUGH they do deliver locally. Years and years later in the present day I was thinking of these guys while passing though and was more than pleased to get the same amazing wrap again. The nostalgia almost brought tears of joy! my Mom is 95 years old and tonight called up to order a pizza for her caregiver and herself to be delivered. She explain to the new owner her last pizza and chicken fingers were not to her likin. The new owner was kind, listened to her and explained he would make sure her pizza was done to her liking. Many fks would not take time to listen and satisfy a senior person. Nick's pizza has consistently decent food that is fairly priced. We recommend the house salad with chicken. The marinated chicken is delicious. We've tried several recipes but can't match the flavor. They're very quick to fill orders, but make everything fresh. We've never had longer than a 20 minute wait and usually it's even faster, so would recommend Nick's for a quick bite. read more

Updating. I gave a low review on 4/2, because the delivery is indeed consistently slow. But, I must admit the food was very high quality. I got a burger and the meat quality is restaurant quality, not fast-food quality. Tonight, we ordered from Nick's again and went to pick it up. The foot was ready promptly and was high quality as usual. Some got pizza, some got burger. Everyone was happy. My advice is to pick it up yourself. Aince Dominos closed down, this my goto pizza place. I do not mean to say that their pizza is similar to Doninos! Not at all! They have their own recipe and unique taste. Crust is not too thin or too thick and cheese is not greasy either. Toppings are evenly spread and you get some in every bite. read more

This place is great! The food is always really good and the staff very friendly. The new burgers they are selling are out-of-this world (really cool topping combinations)!! Try the italian subs too - they are awesome! And... of course, you can never go wrong with the pizza. Local pizza shops have even been referring customers to Nick's for their calzones! Nick's Pizza is clearly a locally well-established place to get your pizza and subs, but the way in which they welcomed people from outside the area when the MBTA suddenly struck a car in Ashland, and hundreds of people were evacuated with no notice, speaks volumes. While I did not have a chance to sample the food, I did spend quite a bit of time there with a soda waiting for a ride, and I watched as countless unanticipated customers came streaming through the door. I found this joint randomly on a Holiday Monday & they were open! I'll first start off by saying I did it try the pizza... yet! But I was moved to slap down a great review by an excellent Cheeseburger Grinder, this one came as small round patties (almost sausage size), they were not dry at all but nice & juicy just the right amount so not greasy where the bread chat handle it- and oh man the toasted roll was light & crispy, and seemed to envelope all ingredients with a gentle toasted hug that made the sun easy to eat on the fly! Got it with L/T/Mayo/K and what I was really impressed was how the sandwich was perfectly out together so no one ingredient was over doing it, mayo/ketchup wasn't squeezing out, and didnt feel the need to add anything on it, and ut was BURSTIng with too much lettuce or tomato. All out together in great proportion, never under estimate the power of a good sandwich, I'm going back to Nicks cause they seem to appreciate that & out care into what they do. I had some errands to run and hungry for just a slice. Nicks was an easy walk. As soon as I entered the door, Katie (i got her name later) have mine a big smile and hello. That goes a long way. I asked her if they do slices and she asked what kind. Within 5 minutes, I had my hot pepperoni slice. Good to a point for a hungry guy but burned. Of course I ate it, I was hungry and I think because of Katie, good for another visit. Nicks is clean, napkins on the table, friendly staff. But I would ask next time for a fresher slice. read more

Have used Nicks for delivery for a long time. Usually very good. Ordered 2 pizzas tonight , absolutely horrible. Burnt and disgusting. Sent them beck. No call from Nicks. No apologies. Apparently they do not look at the pizzas before they go out. They will take your money though. I called them finally after waiting for a customer service call and was told " sometimes the cheese does that". Really!!!! It just happened to do "that" on both of my pizzas??? Just admit that you messed up. Don't feed me excuses. Very poor quality. Very poor customer service. Too bad. Won't be using Nicks anymore. Update. 3 days later and they still have not refunded my card. I returned the two burnt pizzas, called and asked them not to charge my card but they did anyway. Now they won't refund my purchase. Please do not ever eat here. I came to Westborough, MA for a business trip with two co-workers. We decided to order from Nick's Pizza & Grille. My co-worker, Sandra, called to confirm that they would deliver to our hotel. She spoke with the manager, John, who failed to confirm the address of our hotel. We called a second time to actually place the order. Again, the employee never confirmed our address. About twenty minutes later we receive a call from Nick's Pizza & Grille letting us know that they thought we were at a different hotel, and wouldn't be able to deliver to us. I am a reasonable person, I understand people make mistakes and I can forgive this kind of error. But my story does not end here. Five minutes later (while we were discussing new food options) we received a second call from John, the manager. He just wanted to let us know that he would still be charging our credit card. He said it was our responsibility, as out of staters, to know that there are multiple hotels in the area. John, the manager, offered no apology, he blamed the new hire who took the order. John told me he would be glad to "duke it out" with my credit card company. When I asked John when the owner would be in, he told me he was the owner, an obvious lie. Eventually he gave me the owners information and I will be following up. But please, weary business travelers missing your home and family, this is no place for you. read more

This here is another one of family's go to spots. Again I will start with the food. The steak and cheese I give a 5 the steak is always good and good portion size and flavored well. The chicken finger plate I give it a 3 portion size on this item is a little scarce. The pizza is a reason we love this place great flavors I give it a 5 we tried cheese that's 5 we tried onions and peppers that's also a five pepperoni also a five. The calzones are incredible we had steak and cheese was gets a five and it was so good we made our own to see if we could make it better. We also tried the barbecue chicken this one was over the top so much flavor and moist chicken it was a five. This really all we have ever eaten from nicks . Only two reasons I didn't give it an over all five. The staff is very scarce only two people on a Friday night and one on a Saturday had us waiting for 1 1/2 for our food, and behind the counter was very messy with lettuce on the floor and cheese and all kinds of stuff. The food industry is having a shortage of people I get it but you gotta keep it clean. Overall still one of my favorite places to order from in Ashland . When we moved to town a year and a half ago this was our go-to place for evenings when we didn't feel like cooking. Awesome crispy crusts on the pizza, tried some of the meals and thought they were pretty dcent also. Since then I feel like the quality and service has gone way down hill. The last couple times we ordered, the pizza has been soggy, the service has been indifferent. I got steak tips a little while ago and thought the portion was tiny for the price and the taste wasn't very good. Disappointing since they're very convenient but at least maybe it's motivation to try some new places. read more

Didn't even complete my order. I'm appalled at the service I just received!! I called to place an order for delivery and was asked to hold. When the next guy came on he just kept saying hello. I asked if he could hear me and he said yes, then nothing. I told him, again, I wanted to order for delivery. He took my number and address, since I'm staying here for business asked the hotel room number. He claimed not to understand about 5x thinking I was saying 7, 5, the word more. Then asked why I was telling him the number 4 and then laughed stating "he forgot he asked me the room number". I'm not sure how he just forgot what he's asking me. I then let him know what I wanted, again repeating it twice. He gave me a total of $34.xx then said oh umm wait and told me $13.xx (my order was a small pizza and soda so clearly the first total was wrong). Then asked if I was paying cash or card. When I informed him card he said, let's get that card number "tee hee" which I assume was a type of laugh. At this point I was not comfortable providing my card information and hung up. They did call back and I informed them I was not placing an order anymore since clearly they wanted to play games and mess with totals! I hung up before they could say anything. read more

I absolutely love Nicks! It's probably one of the most consistent restaurants/take out we have in the town. Their french fries are always so crisp and tasty, the salads are delicious and fresh, and subs whether hot or cold always leave you full and satisfied. I have been ordering from here for years and have only ever had a mix up with my order maybe once or twice, and they were friendly and understanding fixing it right away. This is a place I will continue to order from as they are convenient, and yummy. Service is also very speedy! read more

This is a great local place. Their subs are good sized, priced right and done well.

Their pizza is average in general (so probably a bit above average for the area). Truthfully, I will never return here due to their extremely sub-par service. The last time I went, I called in my order and was told 50 minutes. I arrived 50 minutes later, told them my name and paid and was asked to wait while they finished it up, no big deal. It was a weekend night and they were obviously very busy. TWENTY FIVE minutes later I was still sitting in a booth while my pizza was in the back getting cold because they forgot about me and a few other customers. Other people ordered and got their food before the teenager behind the counter asked for our names again so they could check the order. No apologies or anything. This place is walking distance from my apartment but I will never return. There are enough other options in the area where I'm not treated like shit. read more

I assume I have spoken to the owner the few times I can actually get food, but his staff stops serving hours before close. If I could sum it up in one word...gross. Haven't been here in awhile, so I decided to give them another shot. Ordering a large pizza with mushrooms, sausage, and pepperoni, I was disgusted when I got home and took a bite out of it. The dough, cheese, everything was undercooked. The dough was still spongy, so it required me to through it into the toast oven for a few minutes to get it a little crispier. This place is rocks! I order from here whenever I'm at my girlfriends. Some of the best pizza I've had in awhile. They have a real fresh tasting sauce. My friends and I also have enjoyed large sausage pizza and huge chicken/broccoli calzone. I've gone in a few times as well and had a good Italian sub. Place is clean and bright. Owner is a real nice guy. He actually told be where they get the sausages from..a fresh italian meat maker from a neighborhood butcher. Deliveries have always been hot for us.
