We placed the order and made our way to the restaurant where it was already all set for us! The cashier who checked us out was friendly and the building itself was nicely decorated and spacious. It was busy for a Friday night but not jam packed. When we got home I noticed that they forgot my tartar sauce- a bummer. But the food itself more than made up for the momentary disappointment. The portion size was huge for the price! There must have been atleast 16 scallops in there. Even though we ordered take out the food was still nice and crispy. The batter was excellent and the fries had a great crunchy coating. I would highly recommend Fish and Chix to anyone in the area. My single lobster was $18. Single oysters $3 apiece. Creamy clam chowder $7. Stuffed clam $3. The $30 cold lobster roll came with cole slaw and a bag of chips. The hot dog roll looked small but was well filled with fresh sweet lobster meat. Her smoked salmon $8 were two thick chunks of fish. My hot in-shell boiled lobster arrived several minutes after, pre-cracked. Carefully poured out the green water, and I went at it. Making use of the sink by the bathroom afterwards to get cleaned up. A delicious way to start our outing to Rockport! BTW parking in the nearby area is paid and seasonal. My order was prepared to order in about 8 minutes. I enjoyed my food outside. The Lobster Roll (3 oz of knuckle & claw meat in mayo) on a toasted New England hot dog roll. The watermelon and chips were good sides for the Maine style lobster roll. The 2 homemade sweet Maine spice cookies were soft and chewy.
