We got the turkey dinner tonight which came with a heaping amount of turkey breast, mashed potatoes, green beans, stuffing, rolls, gravy and cranberry. We got married at Curtis Farm in Wilton, NH. Celebrations was one of the caterers that Curtis Farm recommended. Boy are we glad they did! Our wedding: 225 people, lots of foodies ranging in age from 21 to 85. Our menu: station style with . . . - passed hors dourves during 1.5 hour cocktail hour - open high end bar throughout the night - a raw bar station including oysters, crabs, lobster, sushi, ceviche, ahi tuna, etc. - carving station with lamb, brisket and salmon options - Mediterranean station with hummus, baba hanouj, tabouleh, olives, etc. - vegetarian station with various salads and other dishes - ice cream sundae bar with 3 fountains, cake/fruit/pastries for dipping, etc. - candy bar . . . and much more. As you can tell, this was a beast of a wedding with tons of food and lots of people. On top of it all, it was all outdoors in the heat. Needless to say, we were scared beyond belief that something would go wrong with the catering. Something would be cold. Something would be overcooked. Something wouldn't smell 100% fresh because it's summer and outdoors. Something wouldn't be replenished in time. SOMETHING would go wrong. Nothing did. This was easily the most efficiently run, most delicious wedding I've ever been to. And I'm a tough judge, especially since it was our families spending the money for this shindig. Fred, the co-owner and head chef, was an absolute dream to work with from day 1. We asked him to give us a tasting BEFORE we signed on with him, which is a bit unusual for weddings (but we felt that since we were going to spend so much money, it was appropriate). He didn't even blink. He hosted me, my fiance (now wife), and my dad for 1-2 hour tasting. They served us course after course of a variety of exactly the types of food we told him we liked. Since we were so impressed, we started to discuss the menu and negotiated the cost. I'm sure we were a bit annoying to deal with since we wanted a massive, difficult menu at a reasonable cost and we are sticklers. Not only did Fred work with us to get our menu perfect, but then he worked with us on the price so that it was within our budget. As I noted, the wedding went absolutely perfectly without a single hiccup. We've been getting rave reviews from almost everyone we talk to. After weddings, lots of people tend to give the obligatory "wow what a beautiful wedding. the food was great!" Instead, we've been getting the not-so-obligatory "your wedding had the best food of any wedding i've EVER been to! by far. we were blown away." If you want your guests to be blown away, go with Fred and Celebrations. One more short story: about six months before the wedding, I briefly mentioned to Fred at the end of a phone conversation that I can't drink beer anymore because of a wheat allergy, and there is only one gluten free beer I like: Green's. Then I forgot we had the conversation. About an hour into the wedding and 3-4 vodka tonic's in, the bartender says "hey groom, don't forget we have 4 bottles of Green's here for you! let me know when you want one." And they didn't even charge us for them. And they're like $6/bottle! Unbelievable. read more

Okay, first up thanks for making a lot of food in a short amount of time. There were several delicious offerings such as scallops wrapped in bacon, beef kebabs, beef teriyaki, chicken satay with peanut sauce and bruschetta three ways. Not so delicious were the artichoke dip and the olive tapenade... Swedish meatballs did not go over well but I think that's because many of the guests were not canadian-born. The roasted veggies came in very handy next day with grilled chicken and brown rice. Yay. I ordered way too much but the staff at Celebrations tried to guide me... I did not want to run out. Overall I think it was good, not great. Customer service was excellent. I think the prices were reasonable. I would prefer that the catering company supply the tables but I'm okay with it. I would use Celebrations again but with the knowledge that I've procured. read more

From ordering to paying to delivery to set up and takeaway I was completely satisfied. Money well spent to celebrate my sons college graduation. The selections where great, the food was perfectly set up , instant buffet works for me, little to no effort on our part , worth every penny. If you are having a large gathering and want a great caterer you have to call these guys. Our guests loved the food , pulled pork , loaded mashed potatoes, fried chicken breast, Mac & cheese all amazingly good. Utensils , plates , napkins all included. We recently used Celebrations to cater our outdoor wedding and everything-- from the organization and communication about our menu and food items, to the food itself which received rave reviews from our guests-- was outstanding! We were both a little skeptical choosing a caterer where we couldn't try the food at first but understood that BBQ can't just be made for 1 or 2 people. We chose a menu with a variety of both BBQ and vegetarian choices and got several remarks from our guests on just how good this food was. AND... we got to take home some of the leftovers (so a huge win for us all around!). The fact that they brought their own charcoal grills and made the food fresh caught the eyes of our guests as well, plus the fact that it was served buffet-style with an "all you can eat" sort of feel went over huge. We were looking for the opposite of the stuffy hotel/conference hall setting and the food selections just added to the feel of our outdoor theme. We were planning a small, intimate, wedding reception for 40 people and researched quite a few caterers before selecting Celebrations. Communication was fast and easy - they always responded to questions/calls/emails in a timely manner. We met Lisa to share our vision and let her know what we wanted for our special day. Food quality was our number one priority - our guests were 'foodies' and generally good cooks themselves. As it was a smaller party, we decided to splurge on the food. We picked out some options and Lisa promptly provided a quote. We revised the selections a few times and settled on a menu. Ours was more of a cocktail party with very heavy hors d'oeuvres. We also wanted an open bar and they provided the bartender and fixings, we bought alcohol/water/soda. We met Lisa and Fred for a tasting and they made some tiny bites for us to try. We offered a few suggestions based on the samples, which wasn't a problem and they adjusted the recipe accordingly (for example - make this item more spicy, more filling in this sandwich etc..). On the day of the event, they showed up and got everything set up and running by the time our guests arrived. Fred was there, manning the grill and making sure all of the food was perfectly cooked. The food was very good and everyone was well taken care of by their servers. The bartender was friendly and flawlessly executed our custom drink menu. Clean up was quick and easy. After the wedding I asked our guests for feedback and everyone had nothing but good things to say - and this wasn't an easy crowd to please. Every dish was a hit - only wish I had a chance to eat more of their delicious offerings. Would not hesitate to use them again. The price was reasonable compared to other caterers and definitely worth the money. It can be a bit nerve-wracking selecting a caterer as you generally don't have a chance to taste the food before putting down a big deposit. Our experience with CDC was wonderful. We had a military sending off party for our son on August 6th and I contacted Fred and he was a dream to work with. So accommodating and patient. (I've never hired a caterer before.) When the gentlemen came to set up the buffet they were very efficient and completely on point with everything. They worked in a very timely manner. And so polite and helpful. Now,for the important part:the food. IT WAS AMAZING,DELICIOUS, AND OUTSTANDING. Those were some of the compliments that our guest used. We loved all the food. We had an Instant Buffet at our house for 25 guests and it was delicious and very easy to coordinate. Coordinating the menu was done by email. They were super responsive and we had the menu figured out within a few hours, and they accommodated our food preferences/allergies with no questions asked (and no additional reminders). The day of our event, he arrived on time and set up our buffet quickly and efficiently. Everyone raved about dinner and there was tons leftover. We had the beef au poivre, lemon cream chicken, roasted potatoes, roasted vegetables, garden and spinach salads, and tons of rolls. Their sheet cake was amazingly delicious and beautifully decorated. We packed up all of their service-ware into the provided trash bags and left it in a designated location. When I checked at 9 am the following morning, they had already picked it up. read more

Last year I was planning my daughter's at-home wedding reception--we rented tents, porta-potties, linens and china. It was obviously very important to have a great caterer and after doing lots of searching for word of mouth recommendations and website stuff, we selected Celebrations. The owner came to our home several months before the wedding and did a tasting for us. We had given him some basic information about food preferences (lots of veggie guests, outdoor reception with dinner and finger food, we were providing cocktails and wine with dinner...) and he came over with a delicious ratatouille, a feta and spinach appetizer, and a beef roulade. All very good, but we didn't choose that particular beef selection in favor of a grilled beef of some sort. He also took a good walk through the yard where the ceremony and reception tent would be, and determined a good location to set up the grill so that it would be out of the way. We agreed that they would provide the rental china and glassware, but the rental of linens would be through the company that was also providing the tables and chairs. They arrived in our yard several hours before the 4:00pm ceremony and set up the wood grill ; serving staff began setting the tables; we determined the best spots to do the cake table and appetizer area. There were about 10 members of their staff who just took over, and that was great. They even went back to their headquarters to get a couple of long tablecloths that had not been provided by the linens rental people. The head server was a real pro; she directed things, got bits of information from me about my own kitchen etc and really took over. At one point she took a broom out of my hand and said "Hey mom, go get dressed." The entire staff worked well together; they really knew what they were doing. In addition to the regular waitstaff we also had two bartenders tending the frozen margarita machines and wine bar. The food was absolutely wonderful; things could not have gone better. I was so pleased with everything from start to finish. I'd definitely recommend them (I just have) to anyone who is having a large event and needs a great caterer. A friend of mine used Celebrations to cater a dinner party at their home (about 20 guests) and raved about them as well. read more

Celebrations catered our wedding about 3 weeks ago. The food was delicious and the staff was pleasant. We had the bar service included with our buffet and they unfortunately were not supplied with club soda or tonic. I was not prepared to have back up so it was disappointing to my husband and I and also our guests. These items were included in the list on our invoice. These two mixers are a staple to every bar. Did it ruin our day? No. But, it was one aggravation we didn't need. One of the staff members should have run to the store to get some. I would definitely recommend the food but maybe not the bar service. I did receive a thank you email from Fred shortly after our wedding which I thought was very thoughtful and professional. I wrote back with great reviews for the food and staff and also stating my frustration regarding the bar. It's been about two weeks without a response. read more

We were thrilled with our meal from Celebrations. We were married near Concord New Hampshire and had a buffet with the Wedding Feast option. Fred was nothing but professional throughout the planning process and was very clear about pricing. He came out to my mother-in-law's house for a tasting before we signed and assured us that we could work with him on different sauces or flavorings that we preferred to what he served us that day. On the day of the wedding itself, he and his staff had prepared a stationary hors d'oeuvres set-up with delicious fruit, cheese, crackers, and dip; and dinner was GREAT. The steak was killer, tender medium rare, the chicken was juicy and flavorful, and the salad, rolls, and pilaf all excellent. Oh, and the creamy pesto tortellini was also completely comforting and luxurious. We were all incredibly pleased with the quality of service and food and would recommend Fred and his team at Celebrations to anyone. read more

I could not believe how many people commented on how delicious the food was, from the passed apps to the buffet dinner to the late night snacks, everything was fantastic. I honestly didn't have high expectations because I'm usually very picky about catered food, but everything was high restaurant quality and we had plenty of options for our guests, including gluten free, lactose intolerant and vegan. PLUS they packed up all of the leftovers for us and we froze the brisket and pulled BBQ chicken and had several days worth of meals to come home to after our honeymoon! We got married at an outdoor venue in the fall and used their sub company called "Eli's BBQ". Overall the food was really good from reviews from our guests. They did supply food for the wedding patty during pictures along with drinks, however I never got to taste anything due to a large wedding party and the amount of food brought to us. The dinner was delicious, only complaint was the brisket was a bit dry... One thing I would have changed is the price... It was a bit pricey for our wedding of 100 guests and it seems that in the last couple weeks before the wedding after the contracts were set and deposits were given, they decided to change some policies and tried to charge us more. After much debate it all worked out - but this was a stress I didn't need the week before my wedding. Also they basically rope you in to renting dishes and such from them because they charge a large fee to use dishes from other vendors (that have cheaper rental prices). Overall we had a good experience, some of the speed bumps were just a little frustrating. read more

After much research and deliberation, we decided to go with Eli's Catering for our backyard wedding of 180 people. From the start, they were easy to communicate with and just put me at ease in a way the other vendors we were communicating with did not. Choosing vendors who help alleviate your stress is huge. Becky helped me work thru all the small details, offering advice in a non- pushy and helpful way. We decided on a menu we loved- bbq chicken, sirloin steak, and added shrimp skewers. The shrimp skewers and sirloin were honestly some the best I've ever had. The day of, we felt so taken care of. It was the little things- the staff bringing us snacks unprompted during pictures, coming up to us to check in. They certainly made sure we were well fed and taken care of. The bartenders were great, laid back and fun, but professional. The feedback we've gotten from friends about the food is what really blew me away the most- I've had many people go out of their way to tell me some strong compliments. "It was the best wedding food I've ever had." "The food at your wedding was incredible." "I don't usually eat steak, but that sirloin might have been the best beef I've ever had!" etc, etc. If you're driving yourself crazy with the many wedding decisions you have to make (as I did), I promise choosing Eli's Catering will be a great decision and you can rest assured that you and your guests are in good hands. I can't say enough good things about Celebrations, Fred, Amy and the rest of the staff. Celebrations catered our wedding in Keene, NH this past July and they made the day absolutely perfect. When I first spoke with Fred I told him exactly what I wanted which was the food to be a focal point of our wedding. Both he and his team delivered! First he put together a fantastic menu that included passed hor d'oeuvres a beautiful cheese and Italian meat station. The cocktail hour lasted for 1.5 hours and there was more then enough food to keep our guests happy. Each option was better than the next! We then had a sit down meal and provided guests with 2 options, pork tenderloin or salmon. I can honestly tell you that both were to die for and I don't typically like salmon. The salad and the sides that accompanied the meal were great and went well together. For dessert Fred put together the perfect DIY strawberry station and candy bar. I was not looking for the typical wedding cake tradition and Fred put together exactly what I was looking for. As for his team - well want can I say - they were all great! The service was impeccable. From the very start I knew I was in good hands with Fred and his team. They delivered in every way possible. I do also want to point out that our wedding was outside and miles away from there catering kitchen. This made no difference as Fred worked very closely with me to develop a menu so that everything could be cooked on site! If you are even considering booking another caterer...stop now and look no further. Celebrations is the perfect choice and one you will not regret. read more

We used Celebrations to cater a back yard anniversary party using the "instant buffet" option listed on their website. Interactions with Becky were great, she helped me come up with a wonderful menu that worked for our budget. Food was dropped off and set up when they said it would be. And everything was picked up the next day, as they said it would. Everyone at the party had good things to say about the food. We got the taco bar with chicken and carnitas with corn, rice, black beans, pasta salad and green salad, plus salsa, guac and chips. The chicken was very good, the carnitas were to die for, definitely worth the up charge. There were lots of left overs of the sides, not really any of the meats. We ended up with about 5 less people than we planned for. So if I had any complaint it was that the proportions of 'main' to 'sides' was a bit off. But better too much than not enough. I will use them again, and would recommend them to others. read more

We had a shower for about 45 guests at Fulchino Vineyard and everything was wonderful. The set up person was extremely professional and everyone loved the food. However; as we would love to give Celebrations a 5 star review, we did have a glitch at the end of the day. We had removed all the leftover food into the winery to keep it cool, (mostly still in chafing dishes) When the clean-up person came, he didn't identify himself as such and never sought me out to tell me he was there and ask direction. He then proceeded to"86" as he called it, all the leftovers that I hadn't had a chance to bag. He was also taking items that did not belong to Celebration. When I called George about it, he apologized, and said it's policy to dump leftovers. It would have been really nice if the young man had asked for direction, or even attempted to find someone in charge. George apologized and offered chicken and grilled vegetables to replace what had been thrown out, but a word to the wise. Pay attention to the clean up if you use these guys and make sure the food you paid for doesn't get 86'd. read more

Celebrations catered our wedding on October 3rd and couldn't be happier with our choice to hire them. During the process, Fred worked with us to make our perfect menu within our budget. We have ties to a fish market and wanted to use them for our fish options and Fred worked with us to make that happen. We had a family style dinner and our guests raved about the food. The biggest hit was the hors d'oeuvres. We wanted them to reflect our favorite food and Fred and his team hit it out of the park (bacon wrapped scallops / mac and cheese balls / chicken parm bites). The food was served promptly on time and moved really quickly which we appreciated because we didn't want dinner to last any longer than an hour; We wanted to get the party started! The servers were awesome, too. We hired Celebrations as they were switching locations and some health issues with Fred and some stuff fell through the cracks but in the last month or so all loose ends were tied up and I felt comfortable leading into the day. We had 4 different types of pies that we were told by the guests were absolutely delicious. Only thing I was disappointed by was our cake. Looks wise, it wasn't really what we asked for and the cake never got cut and served. We now have a huge cake in our freezer that no one got to enjoy which is such a shame because its so good. My overall rating is still a 5 because these were only small issues and did not affect our day, but overall Celebrations did a great job. The presentation of food was wonderful as it tasted and the service was great. I would definitely recommend Celebrations. read more
