Why does Ralph Loren sell dress shirts by size rather than measurements? Still, I bought two shirts for $115 each and had Nick's tailor them. On arm is significantly longer than the other. Rather than go to the cleaners for alterations, came here. Nick's wife took my measurements and commented about the difference in sleeve lengths. She knew and made the necessary adjustments. I brought in my romper to replace the zipper. It was done in less than a week even the lady had to go find the right zipper for it which is not easy in covid Times. It was done well however little tough where the fabric is thicker but it was done to perfection. Communication is very Russian and straight forward. I mean they don't just alter men's and women's clothing, they used to make custom clothing starting with bolts of cloth. As a man, I go primarily to Nick for my alterations and have been a customer for 9 years. In addition, I have sent several others to him for excellent, reasonably priced work. He is as personable as he is competent (Irina too). If I could give this place zero stars for customer service I would. They damaged a very expensive outfit that I was paid to model and promote while altering it. When I immediately brought it to their attention, they said that it was not their mistake, that the manufacturer sold it that way, and wanted to charge me to fix it. I literally bought the outfit and brought it straight to the tailor to be altered but somehow I damaged in the process without knowing, according to them. I explain to them that not only have they damage the outfit but cost me money and a paid gig at the same time, they offered no apologies and called me rude. I try to support small businesses but when you can't take the time out to fix your own mistakes and want to charge somebody an extra $20 when they've already paid 40 for it to be altered, I can't in good faith encourage other people to patron this business read more

And then I posted a Yelp review one star and she had the nerve to call my personal cell phone and asked me why . You don't do that that is unprofessional you don't call my phone and ask me why. I have used Nick and Irina for over ten years. All of my suits alterations and customizations are done by them. They are not only talented tailors but very creative as to repairs adjustments in sizes as well as fit. I have around ten suits I wear for work and over the past ten plus years, I've gone from 42 short to 44short and down to 40 short. Needed alterations to the trousers, from 32 waists to 38 and back to 34 (Yes! a Yoyo like weight changes on my body) as well as the jackets. They always make it work perfectly by adding fabric or very creatively make adjustments within the cuts to make it look as it was always that custom look. The suits are from Armani, Versace, Hickey Freeman, Zanetti, Yves Saint Laurent, mostly Italians design. In other words, a very broad selection of styles, cuts, and fits. They always make it look and feel that, Custom Fit. Get a lot of compliments on the looks. Had my dress shirts sleeves modified to take buttons or cufflinks (French cuffs like) save a lot of money over buying french cuff shirt off the rack. Had a pair of Armani trousers of a suit, that was ripped in the back, we are talking shredded! Nick was able to save them. Very impressive repair, Save me thousands over buying a new suit. Needed to have a leather jacket sleeves make shorter. He was able to do that also. Have a specific machine that works leather. Prices are very reasonable for this specialized type of work. I recently bought 2 XXL sized Emporio leather jackets, sweet deal! That's the only reason why I bought them, but I was swimming in them every time I wore them. I took them to Nick (my 4th time visiting him), and we went back and forth about how he could possibly take out the space in these jackets, on the sides, sleeves, back, and shoulders. Wow! What a mess. I thought there was little hope for me and these jackets. I must say, the end result was Way better than I expected. He had certain limitations to work with, given where the pockets were located, but he somehow managed to take out the extra space, and stitch up my jackets with precision, and I mean Perfect precision. For Nick, tailoring is an art, and he simply refuses to release clothes where he does not feel he gave his full efforts. He is also blatantly honest, and he told me that he could only do so much for my jackets and that there were some things he could not do because of the seems. He did far better than I expected, and the stitching job was perfect, and unseen. If you need to get your clothes altered, or if you have clothes you like but you lost (or gained) weight, you'll definitely be in good hands with Nick. His prices are fair, and he doesn't invent absurd reasons to jack up fees. I was also in and out of there in minutes, as he took my measurements, and he always addressed me as I came in immediately, no waiting. A good honest guy that does great work.
