A bit of a blast from the past restaurant, the type of place you would've gone with your parents when you were a kid, but I still enjoyed the old-school charm. They have a salad bar that was typical of places like this back in the day and I have to admit I have a soft spot for a nice old-fashioned salad bar with soup. Service was excellent. Fresh baked warm bread comes with your meal. Good cocktails.

The Irondequoit Women Friends group held our Holiday Dinner here last night. Wonderful, attentive service. The food was delicious and they handled a large group with ease!

Had a fantastic dinner start to finish! The big guy Nick even came to the table and cleared our plates. I love when an owner gets involved and the fact that he called us kids and inquired how we enjoyed out meal was a nice touch. He's a class act and one of a kind! Highly recommend you try this place.... You won't be disappointed.

After a long day at Seabreeze, me and a couple of my friends decided to stop in to Nick's Sea Breeze Inn to get a late dinner. This was our first time trying this place out and we were pleasantly surprised by it's unique ambiance. The decor had an old-fashioned feel and the waitstaff were very friendly. Even though it was later in the evening, we never felt rushed. As a starter, our table received fresh bread that was very delicious! We were each given the option to start with a soup or salad and I ordered the homemade minestrone soup, which was great! For my main entrée I ordered the chicken parmesan with linguine pasta and the chicken was crispy and delicious! My friends were also pleased with their meals. Overall, this was a great way to end the evening and I would definitely visit this place again!

Walk in to Nick's and you will be greeted by the friendliest waitress holding a plate of complementary pepperoni pizza and garlic bread with garlic butter. First walk over to the salad bar, and it's one of the nicest salad bars I've ever seen They even have pepperoni sardines, and chocolate mousse, tapioca pudding and a fresh soup of the day. An old fashioned experience for the entire family. The waitress was nice enough to make me fresh brewed iced tea and my Cajun tuna steak was excellent We had no room for dessert but because one of our party was having a birthday they brought over a slice of multicolored Neapolitan ice cream cake for us to share. Everyone left with leftovers. Try it.

Sea Breeze institution has still got it! We were able to be seated right away and the food was delicious. Fun, eclectic decor. Perfect summer meal of haddock and zucchini medley. They even accommodated my request for no cheese. Pleasant atmosphere and friendly wait staff. Definitely will be back.

Good parking and really nice waitstaff. The wine was a generous pour, which is always nice... but then we ate. Our first course was a "shrimp cocktail", which was six giant shrimp that had long outgrown their flavor, and a cocktail sauce that was extremely heavy on the horseradish. Second course: I had the Italian Wedding Soup. Husband had a side salad which he said was just fine. The soup was a large bowl of soup, and by the time we got halfway through, our entrees arrived, so we set the entrees aside to finish our sides. The soup was fairly tasteless; in fact it was very similar to the Progresso canned soup of the same name. I couldn't eat it all. A cup of soup would have worked much better. And then we turned to our entrees. Mine was Chicken Parmigiana and husband had spaghetti with marinara with a chicken cutlet. The amount of spaghetti in the big white bowl was - and I am not exaggerating - about the size of a soccer ball, with the chicken riding on top. The marinara on my husband's pasta tasted like tomato sauce without much of anything else. The Vodka sauce on mine was better. Cardinal sin of Italian dining: there was water in my husband's pasta that mingled with the sauce until it was like tomato soup. But why am I complaining about too much food, even when it wasn't that tasty? Because it didn't feel like dining, it felt like feeding time at the zoo. I suggest they concentrate their portions a bit and add flavor. I hope their $58 steaks are better. We brought home our leftovers, but we're going to add some veggies & spices to them. I really wanted to like this place, and I'm sad that I didn't.

Fortunately, that wasn't the case here! We stopped in to meet some relatives and arrived a little early. Everyone was warm, friendly, and welcoming--always a great way to start a visit. The tavern has a great atmosphere and an interesting, eclectic décor. There's a full bar and an outdoor deck, which unfortunately faces Culver. Still, you can't win them all! The service was excellent, and our drinks arrived promptly. And then there was the food. Our party ordered three Beef on Wecks and one Irish Burger, and everything was excellent. The Beef on Weck was stacked high with delicious, tender beef--considerably more than we've experienced at some other locations. Nobody was going home hungry! It was NOT a disappointment. It's crazy I lived in Rochester for 18 1/2 years and never heard of it before and that was my loss. The atmosphere, the energy, the community in this bar was outstanding. They have a great selection of beers on tap. I started with The Kind but when I saw they had Mass Riot from Prison City I quickly moved to that. Didn't think I was going to eat but the food smelled so good I had to order. SO many things looked great on the menu it was so tough to choose. Ended up getting hot Buffalo Wings and the Pot Roast Grilled Cheese. The wings were good. A little sweet which is not my jam for Buffalo Wings but they still were good quality. First, we sat at the bar while we waited what the waitress said was 40 minutes (turned out to me much longer as people were clearly seated before us and came in after us!) The drinks we ordered were good but steeply priced at $12 for a small plastic cup loaded with ice. The bar tender was a little snotty at first but then lightened up and we liked him. Our 40 minute wait turned out to be at least an hour and half. Finally we were seated. We had already decided what we would try for dinner. I chose the coconut shrimp which I always get and love. I ordered it with cole slaw. We told the waiter we wanted separate checks which today with the technology is very easy. My friend ordered the fish fry with rice "pilaf" and coleslaw. We waited a long while for our food. We asked for water and waited at least 20 minutes and even though I asked for lemon and straws none were delivered. Another long wait as I won't drink from the glass directly. Finally got that and another maybe 45 minute wait for our entrees. The plate was bare and overly empty as 6 shrimp lay flat on the plate and a bowl of slaw sat on the other side of the plate. O M G. Have you ever eaten plain shredded cabbage with very watery mayo over it? No flavor at all and no carrots or anything extra just watery , inedible cabbage. Strike one. So I was excited to try the shrimp hoping it tasted much better than it looked. Nope. Cardboard with cooked wheat flour and a piece of coconut here and there enough to attempt to identify it as having coconut. Shrimp was dry as cardboard and tasteless. Not even enough coconut to get stuck in my teeth! The sauce to disguise the horrible flavorless shrimp was horrible so I asked for cocktail sauce which at least added some flavor. We were starving so we ate and did not see our server for at least another 45 minutes or I would have complained. Overall sincerely the worst meal I have EVER had. I would have been happier sacrificing the $32 that this pathetic entree cost by tossing it to the lake gods for offering us a lovely sunset. I won't talk about my friends fish fry. It was soggy and tasteless and the "pilaf" inedible as was the coleslaw. She wasted even more $ on her food (with a dessert) with the very mediocre key lime pie which was promised to be the best in the area. (Another big NOPE). She also had bruschetta which I tried and it was disgusting but again we were starved. I ordered the seafood bisque)we had these while waiting at the bar. The bisque was ok probably from a can and again the wait being so long I would have eaten saltines alone. Overall I can truthfully say for both my friend and I that it was the absolute WORST dining experience of our adult lives. I will NEVER return and will tell EVERYONE I know to stay FAR FAR AWAY!! You can go up on the berm and watch the same sunset. It would have been much more pleasant. Between us we WASTED well over $100. Everything fell wayyyyy short with absolutely nothing at all up to par. "Food" incredibly overpriced and I would not have been happy with my meal at half the price and I speak for my friend as well. Horrible service, horribly crowded, horrible excuse for what they call food. I call it something I would not even give to a pet. Obviously our advice is to find another place to spend all that $. Maybe you will actually be served something edible. Oh yeah and the waiter forgot (in all those hours) to bring separate checks. Lol. What a sad joke the experience was.
