First of all, the food is pretty good. This is my third time here, I didn't care for my dinner (papparadella), but it's what I ordered. My wife had pasta with red sauce, and it was very, very good. More importantly, they haven't got it together from a service standpoint yet. The hostess was downright rude and dismissive, as she has been each time we were there. Once we were seated, it was 15 minutes before our server came to us. And we were probably there for 30 minutes before we had our bottle of wine and bread. Our server, Melissa, was very sweet and accommodating, but the overall experience was not what we expected. To be honest, it was a Friday night, and the place was packed, but it seems like they're short of staff. The owner was delivering meals. We had big hopes for this place, but at this point, there are a lot of good Italian restaurants in town where the service is better. read more

We were very excited to visit for a family birthday. We made reservations in advance and am glad we did so as it was chaotic upon arrival. The restaurant does have a lobby waiting area with seats, which was appreciated as we still had to wait about 10 minutes for our table to be ready. Upon arriving we noticed a sign on the door that asked for patience and explained they are still working out growing pains of being a new restaurant. The booths were large and spacious, able to fit our party of six comfortably. The over all decor was modern and upscale. We appreciated the complementary bread provided. The bread tasted homemade and was very good. Our server took a very long time to take our order. We put in an appetizer order for pizza and she did not come back to place our entree order until after we had finished the appetizer. Due to the long wait, one of our party ordered the lasagna and was told shortly after they had run out. We couldn't help but feel if our order was placed sooner, this wouldn't have happened. It was frustrating for the member of our party to now have to choose something else. The food was mixed in terms of quality. The pizza was a very unique experience. It felt like I was eating a sandwich with all of the greens on top. The entrees we ordered were excellent and the highlight of the meal. The pasta was homemade and really tasted fresh. Great flavor to the red sauce. I thought the portion sizes were generous and the overall Chicken Parmesan dish was wonderful. Each dinner came with the choice of salad or soup. We were disappointed by the soup choices and all ordered salad. I ordered the balsamic vinaigrette and was disgusted by the dressing. It tasted of pure vinegar and made my salad almost inedible. Those who ordered Italian said it was also overly vinegar in flavor. I will avoid these dressings if I visit again. Overall, the experience was underwhelming. The service was not great and the food left me wanting more (minus the entrees). I think we would like to visit again as there are things to rave about here, they may need more time working out their processes as a new restaurant. read more

Very similar to our experience at the old Henrietta location. Apps were all really good, arancini was crispy on the outside, creamy on the inside with ham, peas and cheese in the middle. The sauce that came with them was a slightly sweeter marinara. Came with 4 this time and I think last time only came with 3, nice. Greens and beans are a classic and were just as good as I remembered them. For mains I got the Pasta Alla Mugnaia. I love the thick homemade pasta. The sauce is good, but seemed like all beef instead of the beef, pork and veal it came with last time. Wife got the meatballs and they were moist, soft and flavorful - just what you want in a meatball. I'd try the wood fired pizza next time, saw a couple coming out and they looked (and smelled) great. Bartenders were great, we had to wait about 20 minutes for our friends to arrive and sat at the bar with some delicious cocktails, Negroni Spritz was a nice summertime take on the classic. Waitress, Jessica, was really nice as well. I really like the new location in Pittsford, it beautiful inside. I hope they do well here. Stop in and support this place. read more

Had a great meal. Had read other reviews before we went, but we had reservations, were seated quickly, and service level was spot on for the evening. We were a party of 4 and all enjoyed our meals. We arrived a few minutes before 6:00 p.m. and were asked if we had reservations. I explained that your website states reservations are not accepted for parties of fewer than five people. The hostess told me that policy had changed and commented that the website should probably be updated. I couldn't agree more. We were seated on high-top stools along the side of the bar. Unfortunately, there was no air conditioning. By the time our hot Italian meals were served, all three of us were sweating profusely and extremely uncomfortable. I asked if a fan could be moved closer to our table, but was told there were only two fans in the entire restaurant. If the air conditioning is out, it seems reasonable to provide additional fans or make other accommodations for your guests. Instead, the heat made it impossible to enjoy our meal. We couldn't even finish our food, and what was supposed to be a pleasant birthday celebration for my girlfriend ended much earlier than planned. A simple update to your website and better preparation for the lack of air conditioning would have gone a long way toward creating a much better customer experience. read more

It looks a lot like the predecessor restaurant that was here for many years. The place is busy and bustling and loud, and has a huge lunch menu with so many selections. Service was friendly, but a bit on the slow side. I don't always have an hour and a half to spend on lunch. The food was adequate, although I thought the sauce was under spiced and under seasoned. The same for the meatballs. The pizza is interesting , with a nice dough and a nice finish, and there is no shortage of selections. Prices are moderate and good value for the meal. read more

Far cry from the Henrietta location. New location has updated interior and attentive waitstaff but those are the only redeeming qualities. Bread was either very undercooked or burnt, and most of all, bland. The "burrata" was just regular mozzarella balls haphazardly placed on prosciutto for $25. Felt like a total scam. The pasta was very overcooked and drenched in sauce. Stay away from this one folks. read more

Wow. So excited to try this location. Management will need to fix some logistics before we go back. 7:00 pm on a Sunday Not greeted by staff at door. Two staffers standing at desk were confused on who was next. Had to ask about bar service. We were told it was first come first serve for the high top tables. A table was opening up and then we were told it was being held for a reservation. There were 9 tables open being held for 7:00 reservations. We were there until 7:15 and not one table sat. We then went to the bar to eat at the bar. We sat at bar for 10 minutes and not even an acknowledgement from the two bartenders. They spent 10 minutes trying to open three different bottles of wine, paying attention to no one at the bar. We left and received a very sarcastic "have a great night" from the hostess. We have been to the Henrietta location many times and never experienced anything like this service. Very disappointed. read more

Bland. Really disappointingly lacking flavor. The bread has no salt (???), the marinara tastes like tomato paste from a can, but with less flavor (yes, less flavor than tomato paste) and even my sofa was flat. I give one star for food and add a star because the service was really good. read more

We had a group of nine for lunch. The service was very good, and there was no issue with separate checks or using multiple credit cards. The ambiance was very nice, warm colors and dark wood. I had the lasagna and it was large enough that I took half home. I would say that portions of everything ordered at our table were generous with most of us using the take home boxes. I found the staff to be warm and friendly and plan to return with my husband. I recommend giving it a try! read more

Momma G's new restaurant in Pittsford Plaza is beautifully remodeled in relaxing gray and green tones with silver accents . Our service was great except for a long wait for initial attention to our table. Comments on the menu: the Italian Wedding soup was lacking in flavor and the Italian salad dressing accompanying a nice, fresh salad seemed to be mostly vinegar. We were disappointed in the shrimp cocktail : huge, lovely shrimp ruined by a strange cocktail sauce. (Please give us the option of the standard horseradish sauce.) My linguini in clam sauce had wonderful flavor but the 30 or so minuscule clams the size of a pencil eraser were not worth the work of extricating all the shells. Mamma G's homemade pasta and fresh bread are to die for. We will return for that reason alone . read more

I ordered an eggplant, mushroom and mozzarella melt and a house salad. The overall sandwich was greasy and the salad dressing needed seasoning. My husband's sandwich was so so. We have been fans of Mamma G's in its original location for years, and we were excited to try out the new location so we went on its opening night. The menu is expanded and this location also has a full bar. Everything we had was delicious as always. We tried a new appetizer (the brodo con le scrippelle), the chicken timballo (just as tasty as the timballo Abruzzese) and the Chitarra Bay scallops and shrimp. Despite being very full, we couldn't resist dessert either. We left with a bag full of leftovers to enjoy tomorrow, as is customary with a visit to Mamma G's. Highly recommend! read more

We made reservations for 4:00 PM and we arrive 10 minutes early and we were less standing in a cold entryway for 30 minutes without even being acknowledged. We had to go to the desk to finally get someone to see us and then when we got past the front there were many many tables. There are absolutely empty. They could've sat people instead of leaving us in the front end where it was cold. Then when we did get seated, it was five minutes before we were acknowledged by a server in 10 minutes before we even got drink drinks of water read more
