We were very excited to visit for a family birthday. We made reservations in advance and am glad we did so as it was chaotic upon arrival. The restaurant does have a lobby waiting area with seats, which was appreciated as we still had to wait about 10 minutes for our table to be ready. Upon arriving we noticed a sign on the door that asked for patience and explained they are still working out growing pains of being a new restaurant. The booths were large and spacious, able to fit our party of six comfortably. The over all decor was modern and upscale. We appreciated the complementary bread provided. The bread tasted homemade and was very good. Our server took a very long time to take our order. We put in an appetizer order for pizza and she did not come back to place our entree order until after we had finished the appetizer. Due to the long wait, one of our party ordered the lasagna and was told shortly after they had run out. We couldn't help but feel if our order was placed sooner, this wouldn't have happened. It was frustrating for the member of our party to now have to choose something else. The food was mixed in terms of quality. The pizza was a very unique experience. It felt like I was eating a sandwich with all of the greens on top. The entrees we ordered were excellent and the highlight of the meal. The pasta was homemade and really tasted fresh. Great flavor to the red sauce. I thought the portion sizes were generous and the overall Chicken Parmesan dish was wonderful. Each dinner came with the choice of salad or soup. We were disappointed by the soup choices and all ordered salad. I ordered the balsamic vinaigrette and was disgusted by the dressing. It tasted of pure vinegar and made my salad almost inedible. Those who ordered Italian said it was also overly vinegar in flavor. I will avoid these dressings if I visit again. Overall, the experience was underwhelming. The service was not great and the food left me wanting more (minus the entrees). I think we would like to visit again as there are things to rave about here, they may need more time working out their processes as a new restaurant.

We both thought that our experience at the original mama G's was better than this one and I'm sure the bugs are still being worked out! Will definitely return because the food is solid in the service was pretty decent. Look forward to a five star next time.

My son ate every bite of his pasta, and this boy never eats! :)

This is absolutely authentic Italian food. I don't even remember the service or what the restaurant looks like. My mind could only focus on how delicious every dish was. Still having flashbacks and dreams about it months later...lol.

I ordered the pasta and shrimp special, which was absolutely delicious and full of flavor. Unfortunately, my daughter is vegetarian and ordered the Gnocchi Rossi, which was quite disappointing. It lacked flavor and was very bland compared to my meal. The biggest downside of our visit was the service. We were trying to enjoy some quality mother-daughter time together, but our waitress interrupted us constantly--almost every time we took a bite. We repeatedly assured her that everything was fine, yet she continued coming back to the table. At one point, while we were still actively eating, she asked if we were ready for boxes. When I said no, she replied, "Oh, okay, you're just taking your time." It definitely felt like we were being rushed rather than encouraged to relax and enjoy our meal. To top it off, we were never offered dessert or after-meal options. Despite feeling a bit rushed and annoyed by the constant interruptions, we still left a good tip because the waitress was working hard and remained polite. Overall, the food was a mixed experience, the atmosphere was wonderful, but the service made what should have been a relaxing mother-daughter lunch feel hurried.

The hostess and our server knew it was our anniversary from the reservation and wished us a happy anniversary right away. There was even a beautiful "Happy Anniversary" sign waiting for us on the table. The owner also stopped by personally to wish us a happy anniversary, and they surprised us with two small glasses of complimentary champagne. It was such a lovely way to start the evening. We ordered the panzanella salad, street corn, and a large, shareable ribeye with potatoes. Everything was superb--truly excellent. The service was impeccable, the atmosphere was romantic and low-key, and the entire experience was outstanding. They struck the perfect balance of making us feel celebrated without being over the top. For dessert, we had the funfetti cake, which was absolutely divine. We thoroughly enjoyed every part of our evening and can't wait to go back to Angelina's!

I would've had ten more... The service was fast and friendly. Our server offered up various suggestions of house favorites. The ambiance was sleek with leather or leather-like chairs, wood tables and clean lines. The plates matched the decor as well. I'd consider coming back and trying some more from their summer menu. I look forward to trying from the fall and winter menus as well. I'll definitely be trying a dessert next time. Their s'mores one and funfetti cake both sounded delicious. I was too full from the appetizers and dinner to attempt a third course.

We were quoted about a 40-minute wait for a table, but told bar seating might open up sooner (around 30 minutes). They took my number and we stepped outside to take a walk around the block while we waited. We ended up getting a text about the bar seat availability in about 15 minutes. Once we got seated at the bar, things turned around quickly. The space has a really cozy, intimate vibe with dim lighting, warm atmosphere and overall it feels thoughtfully put together. We ordered hot toddies to drink, which were perfect for the weather, and for food we got the Japanese sweet potatoes and the cavolo nero pesto. Both dishes were incredibly delicious - flavorful and well-balanced. Just be prepared for a wait (and maybe stay nearby instead of wandering off), but once you're in, it's a great experience!

It's a small space inside but it's designed well enough to manage a flow of traffic for customers and staff. We sat in the back greenhouse area. I think the least enjoyable part of our experience was how loud it was in the restaurant. Definitely not a good spot if you're trying to catch up with someone and your voice doesn't carry. I couldn't actually hear the specials the server was telling us. I want to try out Vern's again, so I may wait until there's an outdoor table or ask to sit in the second level to see if that's quieter. We tried one of their spring menu appetizer items, the Japanese sweet potatoes with kimchi ranch and dill. One bite and I was addicted, these were so so good. We then moved on to the classics for entrees -- bee sting pizza and the ragu-- and we were amazed at how good everything was! The only note we had was about the pizza, it was very soggy in the middle but still edible if you rolled it over in itself. We also had a few cocktails, and while they were somewhat small, you could tell they weren't watered down in any way. Two drinks was more than enough for me. Overall it was a great experience and we want to try it again. If you're someone who struggles to enjoy a meal out where you can't hear much, maybe wait for outdoor tables.
