Private tasting of their new high-end Japanese Sake, Sparkling Sake and Sparkling Wine from Japan plus more
Takao M.

Staple of BCS with more than 2 decades serving consistently top quality and fresh ingredients, bringing Japanese techniques with a Mexican touch that will satisfy your palate and don't get me started on the beautiful view, it's the perfect spot for great dining and sip some chilled Japanese Sake, cocktail or tequila. Service is very attentive and well trained, so let them guide you for a better experience!

Despite the higher price point and slowish service, I'm still giving Nicksan 5 stars and would absolutely return. They had a great selection with super fresh fish and everyone who tended to us was so kind. I don't want to go to a place with "cheap" sushi. I believe the quality here is reflected in the price. Amazing sashimi and nigiri with super fresh, soft, buttery fish. Best sushi I've found in Cabo so far.

Beautiful sculptures all around the room.

Unfortunately I came here at a time when I couldn't eat raw seafood. So I had to get their other food, which was not what I really wanted. My husband said the sushi was "great" (and he's a chef, so a bit of a pro). Unfortunately, my chicken teriyaki was only 1/2 good. They used half white meat and half dark meat. The white meat was so dry I couldn't even eat it. The dark meat was great. I encourage the chef to switch to all dark meat and that will make a wonderful dish. The decor was elegant and beautiful. The hostess was extremely attentive and welcoming. The service: they tried. There was a lot of staff but they didn't always get the timing right. And we waited much too long at the end to get our check after asking for it.

Misoyaki Fish. Must try!

Didn't think what we ordered few days ago made us want to return to this restaurant. Drinks: Old Fashion (ask to either give one big ice or much lesser ice). Appetizer: Kumamoto Oysters. Add a tad of wasabi and ginger, before popping it in your mouth. To die for! Main: Misoyuki Fish and Kara-Age Spicy Soft Shell Crab.

One of the BEST Japanese restaurants I have ever had. The sushi was fresh and delicious. The service was phenomenal and the atmosphere is absolutely gorgeous. highly recommended this restaurant to anyone visiting who is looking to eat authentic Japanese sushi. Everything was rich with flavor. Highly recommend the homemade gyoza as these were delicious and packed with amazing flavor.

AMAZING fresh sushi, Impeccable service and amazing experience overall. I've been to several sushi restaurants including high-end ones like NOBU, and the quality has never been as good as it was here. You really taste the freshness of the fish, the presentation is amazing and you leave wanting more! We ordered truffle laced sashimi (to die for) a salmon wrapped creamy roll with AVO and a tuna tostada that was mouth watering! Everything was AMAZE. The service here truly makes you feel as though you are VIP, there is nothing bad I could say.

Nicks San has been my favorite Japanese restaurant ever since I had the opportunity to go to Japan, Before going to japan I thought that sushi and Japanese food had the same flavor as the Sushi from local restaurants in mexico, how wrong I was!! Mexican sushi has nothing to do with the real flavor of real Japanese food and in that regard only Nick San success and only people who have been to japan will automatically recognize for example Nick San's miso soup flavor as it is identical as the one from the restaurants of the country of the rising sun

Salmon Skin Handroll

Service was great, lots of attentive waiters. The gyoza was amazing with shrimp and fish, very unique and the soft shell crab was delicious as well. The salmon skin handroll was OK, only 2 pieces of salmon in it, I liked the avocado touch but wish they had more salmon skin in the roll. We also ordered few sushi and decided to go with local fish and it was just OK. I guess the rice was a bit different than what we are used to in California, it tasted the same but the texture was different, it seemed rounder and harder. Overall it was a good experience in a nice upscale environment.

If you are in Los Cabos and desire sushi this is the place to go. Much better then average. I felt we were given great attention for service. It was slightly pricey, but not unusual given top quality Japanese food in a vacation area.

Tuna Tostada is delicious.

Our personal concierge recommended it & helped to make a reservation (recommend to do so). The quality of the fish & dishes was superb. I intended to try the Sawara (Spanish Mackerel) to determine how legit this place. The Chutoro was definitely my favorite. The other dish was striking for me was Zuke Maguro Don (like, Poke Bowl) -- so delicious. I like tempura so I also got the Ten Don Bowl, with a soft boiled egg, this plate was sensational. I enjoyed the Haiku beer (Rice beer), it went well with the meal. The other beer was Lupulosa (IPA). These are brewed from Mexico, and they are good. If anyone are into sushi, this should be a good start to start. I am sure there are other good places, but my first impression for Los Cabos is here. The one thing I missed was the fresh (chopped) wasabi, which I asked for, but due to Covid, it's currently unavailable. The staff was super nice & friendly. Thank you for a great dining experience.

Everything I had here was fairly mid. The tacos were not my favorite... So much that I didn't even eat it. The server was nice but didn't speak English so I had trouble communicating with her (but not her fault since I'm the one in Mexico!) - so not as tourist friendly as some of the places in town center or by the resorts.

It's right outside by the main pool, built like a "nest," which gives it such a unique and memorable vibe, especially at night. Definitely one of the coolest dining setups I've experienced. We went with the gyoza, oysters, jumbo shrimp, prime NY, jumbo blue shrimp, toro and salmon nigiri, and a maguro roll. Honestly, not a single miss. Fresh, flavorful, and really well executed across the board. If you're staying at Viceroy, this is a must. Even if you're not, it's worth making the trip over just for dinner here.
