Daikoku is one of our favorite restaurants in Cabo san Lucas. The Japanese food is so good my wife says it is better than where we live. The food portions are very generous and tastie. The location has an outdoor as well as a raised glass floor dining area with Japanese decorations underneath it. It is a low-key, quiet location where you can enjoy a nice lunch or dinner. The servers are polite, professional, and very courteous. We go back every time we are in town.

Food was really good but the waiter was irritating with all his comments instead of just taking our orders and leaving. He kept saying no every time we asked him for something and then would stand there smiling and would only stop once we smiled back. He knew we were getting sick of how he was hanging around way too long when getting our orders in because of his comments and responses he made (that none of us asked for). When I ordered chicken breast teriyaki, he responded with "I love breasts." And when my friends were looking for the bathroom, he told them there wasn't one and that they'd have to go outside next to a tree. More importantly, our waiter was an a**hole to my friend!! He made a very mean fat comment to my friend and it was 100% not okay and definitely not a joke. When management was alerted about the waiter's behavior, they stated that they were already aware because it has happened previous TIMES. They then tried to compensate through a free drink which is ridiculous! It definitely ruined the ambiance of the place for us.

The atmosphere is serene with koi ponds everywhere as well as tables with live fish swimming around.

This place serves up fresh seafood, caught daily. The selection of delicious dishes are a plenty. The staff are courteous and efficient. We had a veteran waiter who is a friend of our host. One of few that speak English but luckily our questions and order was translated by our host. We ordered 2 noodle bowls which will feed 3 or 4. We were staying at a resort so we saved some for breakfast the next day, just as delicious as the day before Gyoza is offered in two ways, we preferred it fried. The shrimp tempura roll and vegetable tempura plate were both very delicious and not greasy. The tuna roll was outstanding! Sake bombs were enjoyed all around. I hope they put Kirin on the menu soon. I usually get dessert but had to skip it this visit, we were sooo full. Highly recommend Daikoku! Thank you everyone, we'll see you again in October

We have been here before snd brought friends back. Miss the fish in the floor and it was being redone. Server was Ricardo and he did well. Garlic edamame was delicious. The miso soup along with sushi was delicious.

The location is beautiful and it has a great ambiance. There are vegetarian options as well. We go here every time we are in Cabo. I like their vegetarian fried rice and avocado roll, they will bring out Sriracha and spicy mayo if you ask. The vegetarian roll I always forget I don't like how fried it feels. Opt for the veggie tempura instead. Hubby liked all his salmon items as well.

This is probably the finest Japanese restaurant in Cabo. It is beautiful. I had a very hard time understanding the menu and ordered entirely too much food. So much so, that it became comical as the parade of entrees came marching out of the kitchen. The cold sake was quite delicious. Our sushi was spectacular. The sashimi was quite special indeed, a real stand out. Service was prompt and efficient. Also, our ramen soup was equally special. I wish I knew two dozen people to share the leftovers with!!! The decor was really very special indeed with rivers running through the restaurant in many places. I highly recommend this sushi place if you need good sushi in Cabo, just don't order too much!! Good prices as well.

They have several locations- including one in CDMX. Beautiful ambiance- white sand rock garden underneath clear glass floors and an open air patio with flowing water and a mini bridge. Gorgeous! Service- good, attentive waiters who also spoke English Seafood ramen- so yummy, butter garlic broth with big portions of salmon and imitation crab. The seafood (kaisen) salad was also tasty, very light and tons of seafood like salmon, shrimp, imitation crab, and octopus. Came with two different types of dressing (tomato and vinaigrette). Rolls- I tried the soft shell crab roll and California roll and both were decent

Sooo Daikoku hit my sushi craving spot while in Cabo. We love some good sushi and I found this spot and decided to try it out. The restaurant has an open water and plant décor concept which was a first for us. I really enjoyed the outdoor feel of the restaurant. Once again, the staff were all friendly and very helpful. The food was so good and filling. I am glad we made this our last spot to try before leaving Cabo. What was ordered: Miso Soup / Gyoza / Hotate Rollo / Maguro Landin Miso = Always warms the soul Gyoza = Yummy Hotate Rollo = Flavors & tasty Maguro Landin = Loving the toppings

    New sushi spot!

This spot was recommended by friends. Big open patio and nice large inside which I believe is their undoing. Our friends said make sure you say hi to Santiago... he will make it all right. So, we flag down Santiago and he's very pleased to help.... then.... nothing. We order sake and a beer... nothing. Servers must get lost in this big place. Finally we get some dumplings and they taste great. We are starved, so far and hour and we've had 2 dumplings each and a beer. We order more and at some point it arrives, but we are both kinda done. Wine was blah and food was good but hangry took over. Never saw Santiago again and no one ever brought out leftover food. Oh well.... we did try and I left a nice tip because you should down here. In my opinion, too big of a space for this staff to cover efficiently.

it's so ironic bc the first dinner we had in cabo san lucas was a japanese restaurant that one of my friends wanted to check out i will say right off the bat that the inside of this restaurant was ABSOLUTELY stunning with stone walkways, small streams of water, large bundles of bamboo, and koi pondssprinkled throughout the outdoor seating area! it felt as though i stepped into a beautiful japanese garden that just so happened to be a restaurant as well. it did get a bit chilly outside towards nighttime so i recommend bringing a jacket to stay warm. aside from the beautiful atmosphere, the menu and a wide range of yummy dishes from sushito warm bowls of noodles. the prices were affordable and the fish was very good quality! the service was a little slow due to the large area they had to cover, but they were very nice and willing to help out when they could. -- -- -- pictured: " sashimi moriawase komasa (assorted sashimi) ($397.00 pesos/~$29.17 usd) // first off, the presentation of all the fish was beautiful and i really enjoyed the variety it came with‍the salmon was to die for - so buttery and tender - but the other sashimi were just aight. all very fresh quality though! -- -- -- if you're looking to get a japanese fix in cabo, definitely check it out!

Hands down the best sushi in Cabo. So good we came back twice! You may think tiki bar is the better choice but these rolls are so tasty and huge servings. Each special roll is about ten pieces and around $10 a roll max. My favorite was the unagui especial. The appetizers were also amazing especially the chicken yakitori and fried cheese appetizers. The sauces that accompany this are great as well, but it's worth noting you'll need to ask for wasabi and ginger as they don't come with. The atmosphere here greatly accompanies the food. As you walk in you have to sanitize your shoes, hands, walk through a sanitizing spray and get your temperature taken. Staff was great with masks as well. The restaurant has an open outdoors section with waterfall tables and a water mill. You can further go inside and walk through a glass sand field. Staff was also fantastic. They definitely have a bit more of a sarcastic flare so don't take it personally! All in all, I spent about $30 for two rolls and two appetizers with drinks and would 100% come back again

Never thought I'd go to Mexico and have the best sushi of my life. I know crazy right ? When you first step in it's like you're transported into a whole different place. The bridge, the beautiful water flowing tables, the koi pond , the glass floors, the architecture of this place is amazing. A must do if you're into a different dining experience. We looked at the menu confused since we were a bit hesitant with the different ingredients in the rolls . We went ahead and ordered from "Chef's recommendation " menu. Salmon Landin $9.01 USD: Avocado, cucumber , boiled shrimp , with fresh salmon topped with white onions, Serrano chili , served with a special sweet soy sauce. This one is amazing. This is also for spicy lovers out there who like it hot. They put fresh Serrano chili's on top and you get the flavors of sweet , spicy and zesty from the lime. I also love the white onions on top . 5/5 Maguro landin $9.97 USD: Avocado , cucumber, and tempura shrimp in the inside and fresh tuna on the outside. Inside is crab meat with a chipotle sauce. This was so delicious. I never would've thought chipotle would be good on sushi but this was unique and the flavors worked so well. 5/5 Maguro tataki $9.45:Tuna seared with sesame sauce , vinegar and orange juice. Simple, light and delicious . Added some soy sauce and wasabi and it was perfect. 5/5 Philadelphia special $7.80 USD : Seared salmon , cheese , cucumber & avocado with masago. This roll was yummy and vary creamy . We like spicy so we asked for Serrano peppers on the side. 4/5 Fish wrapped in Fish roll : DISCLAIMER ( don't know the real name of this roll since it's not on the menu) if you show them a pic they can make it . They use various fish to make the roll and the rice is omitted. Fish is wrapped around and it's topped with crispy wonton and mango . Great if you want something light . 5/5 Overall the quality, service , and price is outstanding . Definitely worth it. The workers here are super friendly and I'm glad we tried out Daikoku. Please consider opening up a restaurant in the Bay Area ! Until next time

Yes, I need my Asian food fix...even in Mexico, so we decided to stop by Daikoku, and I was BLOWN AWAY. I even told my sister in the middle of the meal that this might be one of the best Japanese restaurants I've ever been to. Totally unexpected! The entire restaurant is so pretty. The outside area is super cute and there's a little koi fish pond. When you walk in through the front, you feel like you've teleported to Japan. The inside of the restaurant is very clean, and they're definitely following COVID-19 protocols. For appetizers, we got the Gyoza and this one other dish that was recommended by our waiter. It was a shrimp dish with a spicy mayo base sauce. Both were incredibly delicious and fresh. My sister got the Nabeyaki Udon, and I got the Tenzaru Soba, since I wanted something cold. Both were presented beautifully and came with a giant array of tempura options. You could tell that everything was prepared with care. Our total came out to like $40 which is like unheard of. I couldn't believe the quality of the food for the price, and a part of me wished we had ordered more hahaha. Our server was so nice and really elevated the whole experience for us. Can't complain about anything, and definitely will be back if I'm ever in Cabo again.

I thought it offered such great views of the beach, it was quite disappointing to learn that they're only open for dinner...when it's now too dark to enjoy the views. Anyway, we arrived via the tour bus and the golf cart (Sunset Beach is HUGE...and you basically cart around to all of its restaurants) for dinner. Again, can't recall the exact names of the foods we ordered (and too damn tired!), but we shared most of the items. Edamame was quite plain, but the Miso Soup was stellar (had a ton of Tofu and even noodles in them!). We really loved the main dishes...the Tazuna Roll and the Katsu Chicken w/ Rice and Avocado. The big disappointment was their desserts. Not sure what my husband had, but he was just OK with it...and my Tapioca dessert was just gross! It had this nasty, slimy texture (NOT the texture the Tapioca should have...should be much bouncier!). Plus, it was so plain...all same muddy green colored. Same with their Pina Colada...so plain, not even with a pineapple embellishment. As stylish as the restaurant was, the presentation of some of their foods and drinks were very basic and boring. I guess I liked the Tazuna Roll the best...the Tapiocca the least. Overall, I'd rate their foods as 3 stars, but ambiance would bring them up to at least 4 stars.
