They have in-window AC and heating units (which came in handy for the cold snap we received this weekend), a bathroom that included showers, toilets, mirror, and sinks for you to get ready in the morning, and bunk beds with mattresses that actually were quite comfortable. Overall, the cabin facilities were good. We also used a couple of the classrooms that were a bit more run-down that I would have preferred and the in-window heating seemed to be a hit or a miss. The tables could use a refresher and the windows could use an update. The restroom facilities that we used while outside of the cabin were less than stellar. It was neat that there was a washer/dryer on site in the restroom, but the bathroom doors were falling off the hinges and the toilets flushed when they felt like it. The bathroom could use a refresher alongside the classrooms. The grounds were lovely. There were several picnic table areas for us to hang out under trees and enjoy the great outdoors. Overall, I really enjoyed my time here and the facilities were quite well done... They could use a refresher in some of the common areas.

We stayed in a Fox Meadows guest home which was off the beaten path, by far, but that just added to its charm. Beautiful land with wildlife surrounded us. Our cozy guest home had a large bedroom (where my mom slept), bathroom, adorable kitchen stocked with everything including a huge basket of goodies for breakfast and a living room with a couch that had a fold out bed that me and my son slept on. The living room was decked out with Christmas tree and decorations. The fireplace in the living room was wonderful to have. There were many books and knicknacks for my son to explore and in the living room we had a tv with DVD and VHS player, along with a huge selection of DVDs and VHS. Their policy is that you can take a movie or book with you when you leave if you leave another one behind. There are trails to explore right out of the back door. The owners are a delight. I hope to have a chance to stay here again soon.

Despite the historically low water levels, we could not have had a better time, as always. The owners have gone to incredible lengths to ensure that The Famous Float House continues to deliver on its reputation as one of the most fun, uniquely situated, spots on all of Lake Travis for all ages. And like we always do, we were totally able to rent a Tri-toon boat from a local marina and motor it into the canal where the Float House is located and then use the awesome motorized dingy the Float House owners provide to run people and coolers out to the Tri-toon for then our usual amazing afternoon on Lake Travis. The whole thing was a breeze. And the new little motorized dingy is so much fun to have at the Float House to cruise around in and fish from. Anyhow, it could not have been a better, more fun weekend and we can't wait to go back later this season.

My daughter had her wedding at this beautiful venue in China Spring, TX. When we went to visit the…read morevenue we were told it could fit up to 300 people but it would be tight. We had approx 240 guests and we felt it was a tight fit. Their kitchen is small and made for a very tight situation with the caterer and all the supplies needed for the reception. It also has a small commercial fridge which had some of the owners drinks in it but we managed to fill it up with some of our drinks. They do provide ice but we also brought in two huge coolers of ice to pack drinks in, that didn't fit in the kitchen fridge. If you have a large bridal party the bridal suite will be very tight ( we had bride, MOB, 7 bridesmaids, MOG, makeup artist and hairstylist) and no room for all to sit especially with everyone's bags and dresses. Due to the size of the wedding we were required to hire two bartenders and two security guards. One bartender showed up and the second security guard was pulled away due to a family matter. The owners of the venue did step in as bartender and security guard. Our wedding party was the first to use their silo accommodations. They are beautiful rooms and a great outdoor area set up with fire pit and games. If you live in the Waco and surrounding area this is a great place for a wedding. For our out of town guests they either stayed at Airbnbs or at hotels in Waco. We did advise them all to be prepared for a 35-40 minute drive to the venue.

The showers/restrooms were well thought out with decor and quality of fixtures. The only less than perfect for me, the set up in the showers were a little awkward as there was very little room or places to keep clothes dry while showering and then changing, I am personally not a fan of public changing rooms. All of the staff we encountered were very nice and appropriately chatty, friendly and welcoming people. Definitely recommend this place.
