I told the guy that I didn't like the color he was doing & he told me to wait bc he was going to put more coats (I asked for dip). When he was done I hated it, so I politely asked him if he could just paint over it pink with gel. Since, I didn't have the time for him to take the dip off and redo it. I had been in his chair for almost 2 hours at this point. I had an appt & he still took someone else in between doing my nails. After he filed my nails, he did someone else's manicure. So I was just sitting there for 30 min. He had a fit when I asked him to paint over the dip color. My nails still looked horrible and once he was done, he stormed away. When I went to the register to pay, I asked to speak to the manager bc I got charged for the dip powder and the gel he put on. I explained the situation & all he had to say was I should've spoke up about not liking my nails earlier. I did and once I told him that, a lady that was sitting next to me told him I did tell the guy but he told me to wait. The manager didn't have anything to say back & said there was nothing he could do. I was so flustered and annoyed. I never speak up at the nail salon & these people made a scene. It was so awkward. The guy who did my nails was so rude. He stormed off as soon as he was done and left everyone else to handle the situation. Long story short, I ended up paying the full price (dip + gel up charge) and just noted that I'll never be back. Please think twice about coming here! They are so rude and do horrible work. Upon arrival there were four or five technicians working on people, so they sat me down at pedi chair and this is where the problem started...I waited a good 5-8 mins before someone came to start pedi. Once pedi began, I was again to wait for a different tech to come finish pedi and paint my nails. While waiting, I observed a tech taking care of two people at the same time. ?!?!?! I booked a full highlight and haircut for noon, and on the morning of my appointment, my stylist asked if I could move to 2 PM to better accommodate her schedule. I agreed. After processing my highlights, my hair was washed and toned. My hair is very fine, but I have a lot of it, and it tangles easily. She then spent nearly an hour detangling my wet hair with an extremely fine-toothed comb, which I have never experienced a stylist using to detangle wet hair. At no point was I told I would be charged an additional fee for this or that the time spent detangling meant there would no longer be enough time to complete my haircut. After about 2.5 hours, my appointment was abruptly ended because the next client was waiting. I was sent home with my hair soaking wet and uncut and told I would have to come back another day to finish the service I had originally booked. I was then charged $225: $140 for highlights, $25 for additional product, $25 for toner, and an unexpected $35 "detangling fee" that was never discussed with me beforehand. I called the salon twice afterward because I was so frustrated with how this was handled. My stylist later explained that she couldn't finish my appointment because she had already pushed her next client back 30 minutes. I found that particularly frustrating considering I had moved my own appointment by two hours that same day specifically to accommodate her schedule. I understand that appointments can run long and additional product can cost more. What I don't find acceptable is adding an undisclosed fee and ending a booked highlight-and-cut appointment without completing the cut or even drying my hair because the next client was waiting. I was offered another appointment to come back for the haircut, but after this experience, I have no desire to return.
