I have a company and have been running a very successful business for the last 5 years i have never charged a fee to my customers for rescheduling their appointments, i call it "Our cost of doing business" Or "customer service" Or simply understanding that shit happens ! But ok i also understand the need of making $$$ but how desperate you have to be to charge full amount for a service you didn't provide instead of keeping a customer that is willing to comeback and use your services every two weeks! Or often enough. Im sure that you could have charged a cancellation fee, i would have been ok with a $25 or idk something reasonable I cant think of a business who charge cancellation fees these days ! A fill takes about 2 to 2.5 hours and a full set about 4 hours. This is typical for my custom volume lash style that I prefer. Christana's lashes stay on the longest! I can go 3 to 4 weeks between fills, 5 weeks or longer and I need a full set to maintain the look I like. Her place is always clean and it's in a pretty fancy doorman building. Parking is convenient at the valet across the street ($12). I enjoy chatting with her as we get started and she's very laid back and kind, always being courteous to my needs (water break, bathroom break, music/podcast preference). First, my stylist (who was awesome overall) arrived almost half an hour late. I understand that her Uber broke down, but no one called to communicate this to me on the morning of the wedding, and I was FREAKING OUT and had to run around trying to track down someone from Sonia's salon, which I was finally able to do, but it was super stressful. Hair and makeup ultimately came out great, but initially when I looked at my hair in the mirror I was not at all pleased, as it looked NOTHING like the photos I had given my stylist for reference. As she had run late, I didn't say anything because there wasn't time to fix it. It's also true that I didn't do a trial, which could have helped, but for the huge amount of money I was already paying and the fact that my ceremony was a small Chicago elopement, it didn't seem worth the price ($195 PER SERVICE, so over $400 with tip). With my monolids, it's difficult to create the same dramatic look as others, but when I came home to a better & bright lighting, my mom & sisters reaction said it all. "Omg linda.... You look exhausted, what happened to your eyes ?!? " I proceeded to the bathroom & saw that all the taupe eyeshadow was smothered underneath my eyes. My family knows how much I love makeup & the look that I love, but they exclaimed that I cannot walk down the aisle looking like that. For my wedding, I want to look elegant, but fresh & beautiful.
