We came to Pizza Hotline in Charlotte Hall, Maryland for the first time to try dine-in, and it was a great experience. The cashier at the front counter, Brett, was awesome, super friendly, charismatic, and really informative. He took the time to explain things to us, offered coupons for future visits, and even gave us discounts right away based on those coupons. That kind of service makes you want to come back. The food was fantastic. We ordered a cauliflower pizza, one loaded with meats and the other pepperoni with the rings. Both were delicious. I put off going here for years since my last pizza was overpriced and not good at all. The pizza that was delivered the other day blew my mind. Delicious toppings, and they didn't scimp on them. The dough is perfectly cooked and doesn't have a foul aftertaste like big chains. The delivery wasn't exactly fast... But an hour is nothing and accurate to the time quoted. Two years running we have used pizza hot line for a women's event at our church. The food has been a big hit at each. Everyone loves it. By ordering carefully and working with the wonderful staff we were able to get the food in a way that allows for restricted diets. Alfredo with broccoli and chicken in separate containers plus salad made it possible for vegetarian and gluten free to be accommodated. The deliveries were right on time done by friendly staff. You won't be disappointed. So far, I think this is the best local pizza joint in the surrounding area. After months of passing it by, I finally tried it this evening. They offer delivery in the area and online ordering was a breeze. Coupons are available on their website under "coupons". We ended up getting a free lasagna w/purchase of $25 or more. This place use to be our go to pizza place in Charlotte Hall no longer. The decline started with the hot wings, they charge the same amount but they are tiny and now apparently taste less. Then the salad went bad the Greek salad use to have olives no more. Then finally the pizza no sauce and takes forever to get ( if you get carry out). I've been to Pepe's, I've been to Sally's and this is just as good if not better. So disappointed tonight....I ordered a pizza at 7:52 pm. When I had not received it by 8:42, I called the store and was told it was on the way. At 9:03, I still had no pizza - and I live 2.5 miles away. I called back and was placed on hold after being asked where I lived and where exactly that was. No matter what time you Order it could be the first minute they open or the last minute they stop taking orders. It's always a Hour to a Hour and a half to get the order. Sometimes the food is Cold. All the teens were busy working and not screwing off, which was nice to see! I was watching some of the pizzas they were boxing up as I was waiting and everything looked mighty tasty and nothing burnt. There are only a few small tables in here, FYI. Definitely more of a carryout place. I got my teensy pizza opened and dug into that baby, to my surprise, it was VERY good! It closely resembled my beloved pizza in Wisconsin. I was super happy with my order. It was a little light handed on the toppings and feta cheese, but it was very tasty. Mushrooms aren't those crappy, soggy canned white ones, red onion was thin and fresh, cheese, sauce and crust was delish and fresh tasting, the pizza didn't taste like chemicals like pizza hut or dominoes sometimes does. Charlotte Hall does not offer an ample variety of dining establishments other than fast food. Limited time can call for desperate measures, yet never desperate enough to hit up Micky D's. Pizza seemed like a fair bet. While the pizza was alright, and the servers behind the counter were more than friendly, the atmosphere was pretty bare boned and designed for pick up and take out orders. For the individuals looking to just swing in for a quick bite, keep in mind you are limited to one booth table sandwiched between a wall and soda machine.
