Our move with Nicolosi Moving was terrible and I would not recommend them. They did not take care with many of our items and even though we specifically asked them to take care on certain things. They brought nothing to protect our wood floors and put moving blankets down at our request but still damaged the floors by dragging furniture. They also damaged furniture that was not wrapped in blankets, even though we asked them to wrap them in a blanket and not just plastic wrap. They threw many items in boxes with zero wrapping or paper; including our lamps with the lightbulbs still in them so the bulbs broke off in the lamps. Jack Jr. never checked in to ask how things were going or to let us know the crew would be late. They were late all three days. Jack Jr. did manage to text often asking for more money. Whether it was a broken-down truck or needing to make payroll there was definitely a money issue. The crew was always friendly but only one out of the bunch did a good job packing. read more

I moved from Tucson to Tennessee this fall. The move required our household items kept in storage in Tucson for a couple of months. Nicolosi movers were on the higher end of the quotes I received but I went with them as they had good reviews. Jack Nicolosi was very responsive early on. They moved us out of our house on time and put our stuff in a quality controlled storage facility. They were late by one day delivering our stuff to our new house in Tennessee, but was told that was due to storms in Tucson. All went well until we noticed that several irreplaceable ceramic figurines were broken and the bed frame of our king bed was damaged. I sent Jack pictures of the damaged items several times but did not receive any assistance in filing a claim. Overall I rate Nicolosi services as good, just make sure you are clear on their responsibility for any damaged items. read more

Five Star Review for a five star organization. NICOLOSI MOVING AND STORAGE. Office does a great job when determining what's needed. Price is very competitive. The crew is flexible, courteous and efficient. Furnishings delivered on time, no breakages, everything in working order. Nicolosi, truly a five star organization delivering five star results. Personal experience. I was moving from one city to another. Leaving ahead of the truck, I expected to consult with the new landlord, pick up keys and determine a place for unloading. Unfortunately, things didn't work out. The new landlord was not ready for the movers--even though I called earlier, several times. This delay forced the Nicolosi crew to delay moving the furnishings. The crew was understanding and worked around the unexpected delay. What happened next was even worse. I'm disabled. In my renters agreement I stipulated the need for an apartment close to an elevator. That did not happen. My movers needed to move all furnishings over a 140 yard distance to get to my unit. (280 yards round trip.) Neither man complained. Sam and Jerry handled the miscue like professionals. Looking to move. Can't do any better than Nicolosi. You betcha! read more

My wife and I contacted Nicolosi Moving for an in-town move and couldn't have been more pleased with the entire process. The owner, Jack, came to our house, viewed what we would need, and promptly followed up with the most competitive quote we had seen, that also included some packing. On the day of the move, three of their crew showed up and worked hard from the moment they arrived to when they unloaded the final item at the new house. The total amount ended up being even less than what we were originally quoted, even with the crew putting together furniture and having to move a majority of the furniture up a flight of stairs. Let me start off by saying these guys are great! I have moved in the past and am aware of the most familiar names of moving companies in Tucson. I have used a few but from now on, I will only use Nicolosi Movers! I was mostly familiar with them because they would always deliver my purchases from Ashley and Sam Levitz. They always did a good job with that, so I called for a quote for a local move from one apartment to another. They most definitely were the most reasonable so, I chose them for my move. My 2 movers Jerry and Brandon were very polite and kind. Asking what I preferred and preformed all tasks without issue! They were very careful with everything. Horrible horrible horrible disaster. They threw my entire move cross country off schedule and I am still paying for the disaster they put me in. They booked another job over mine at the last minute the DAY of my move across country - WOW. Movers I scheduled on the receiving end 1,800 miles away could not reschedule soon, so now I am living in hotels because of Nicolosi's desire to make an extra buck. Jack Jr and Kristina wouldn't tell me what was going on, Jack Jr. said he'd come help, then stories kept changing and they left me hanging for hours. No apologies. I had rented a truck and needed to drive 500 miles that day for an 1,800 mile drive. Didn't happen, 'cause Nicolosi screwed up my entire move and it was too late that day to get the auto trailer hooked up to the truck. So I had to stay in a hotel that night (they didn't pay for that), had to rebook all of my hotels, change my move in date for the new place for after Thanksgiving, will not be able to spend Thanksgiving with family across country, and still can't find movers to hire on receiving end, because everyone is booked and Nicolosi delayed me. Thanks Nicolosi. No mattress bag as Jack had promised several times. Mattress packed left to right, not front to back, so heavy boxes got pushed up against mattress & pushed it out of shape. They put my carbon frame bikes beneath heavy boxes - loaded last!!! Bikes got totally bent out of shape - see photos! Fragile boxes on top in the back with no rope holding them in place. Movers showed up high as a kite and much later than Jack said they would, and didn't give a damn about my time frame. I provided furniture pads AND rope AND ratchet straps and they didn't use all of them, used none of the rope and only half of the ratchet straps, and some of my things were ruined because they weren't padded or strapped in - see photos. They seemed good at packing truck at first, but why expensive bikes in the very back? Awful communication between Jack Sr. and Jr, as Jack Sr. had booked my move and Jack Jr. said it wasn't on the schedule. Never again. I'll use AAA Soto next time. read more

I've used the Nicolosi team once for a move within Tucson, and thought they did a great job and also hired them again later on for an out-of-state move. For my first move within Tucson, I had 3 quotes done by local companies and Nicolosi was able to provide the best one. Scheduling the quote and the move on our desired date was easy, and they were always super easy to get in touch with via email when I had questions. The movers did a great job especially considering it was pouring that day! For both moves we had them help us pack. Some of the movers are better at labeling the boxes well than others. I would just recommend being around to make sure the boxes are labeled in a way that makes it easier for you when you are unpacking. For our out of state move, a lamp was broken, and there are minor minor dents on a couch and a bookshelf but they offered a reiumbursement for the damage. And otherwise they did a fantastic job wrapping since everything else ie plates, mugs, wine glasses, vases, light bulbs, TV monitors etc were all fine. We also used them for 6 months storage which was very convenient that they were flexible since we didn't know at the time how long it would be until we needed our stuff. read more

I just have to say that my recent experience of moving was not at all the stressful move I was anticipating-in fact, it was amazing ! It started with a phone call to get price and it was far less than the other moving companies I called-not only that, Christine, who I spoke with, was so personable and sweet. We had a somewhat complicated moving situation. Our home we were moving into was more than quadruple the size ( compared to what we moved out of ). They did this move and made the move easiest We've experienced. Jack Nicolosi has done this before ( for our family).... The experience was the same. Nothing broke!, Nothing missing!, and overall, 100% fair n honest and respectful of all our home goods. Much relief we chose YOU, again. It's HOT here in June, n I heard NOT one complaint. I have used Nicolosi Moving & Storage twice n the past 2 years. The 1st time was approximately 2 years ago, as I had them move an extremely valuable antique crystal cabinet from one part of our home to another involving 2 sets of stairs. The care & time taken to move this cabinet was extraordinary and the cabinet looks beautiful in its new location. My experience 2 years ago is what prompted me to have them move, wrap & store at their warehouse, 43 pieces of our brand new outdoor furniture as we completely remodeled our backyard. Nicolosi's crew of 4 spent 8 hours wrapping and or padding each piece individually, marking and inventorying, for storage. Our furniture was at their storage facility for 10 months & was delivered last week by, Tacho, Sam & Jimmy. They treated my outdoor furniture as though it was their own. The pricing and convenience of using Nicolosi has convinced me to only use them in the future. This is a family owned business, Jack the owner is a dream to work with. Thought they were great. Until it came to follow up! The initial contact was quick and professional. Our things were stored for a few months and when we got our possessions moved to our new home, there was some minor damaged and a couple broken items. I was told to send pictures and they would follow up with repair of gouges in dining table, counter stools, and replacement costs of some glassware (they packed). After many, many attempts at getting these things taken care of, we just gave up! Getting settled into the house was more pressing. In the past year, we have come to recognize that we are missing many items. At the time of our moving, I recommend them to someone else. Unfortunately, that turned into a total nightmare with many things damaged beyond repair and many missing belongings. Their response has been "we will look for it". That review will follow. Dear Jack at Nicolosi Moving and Storage, Your movers and son (Jack Jr) broke my desk. When I pointed this out, and they were unable to fix the desk, Jack Jr said he would stop by at noon the next day with a friend to repair the desk. Based on the good yelp reviews, but against my better judgement, I paid your company in full when Jack Jr left. Never mind that I was essentially billed for him attempting to fix the desk. Jack Jr never came back to repair the desk. When my wife called you, you said you were unaware of this agreement, and would call her back. You never called her back. I waited for 1 week for a phone call or any sign you would make this right. You failed to do so. In case you were concerned, I fixed the desk myself. It took about an hour and $6 in hardware from Lowe's. Feel free to reimburse for my time and expense whenever it suits you. I suspect I may be waiting for awhile... I had originally want to leave a good review for this company and my packers/moving team, but alas I can not. I had a 3 man team, one in charge & extremely capable, another hard working & seemed knowledgable and the third worker who admitted to never packing a box before. Despite repeatably having to stop them and insist boxes be properly repacked, boxes continued to be left in the such a state that they could never be called packed. (Ie highly breakables being unwrapped and placed under extremely heavy car jacks. Shelves & drawers just being shoved/dumped into a box to mix & destroy each other in transit, etc). I still told the movers I would give them a favorable review if they promised that they educate and NEVER let boxes be packed like that again, but after spending the last month unpacking the remaining boxes I can not in good conscious give this move anything more then a one star review at best. While I will admit that the job was done under estimate cost, I would have much rather had paid more then the estimate to have had a proper job done. Every single mirror I owned, regardless of size was broken. Found one that they had to literally break the frame in half to fit it in the box, so there is no way they did not know they broke it. Every box that was lucky enough to get the name of the room it was pack in (which was 1 box out of every 50 boxes) was then placed in the wrong room upon delivery. I was told all unmarked boxes came from the garage and thus had them put in the detached garage. Turns out NONE of the unmarked were garage boxes/items, those boxes were placed in my bedroom. The garage was full of everything from kitchen to living room & office electronics. I hired this company because due to my health I needed the help to move ... but ended up ruining my health more by having to shift every single box myself into the proper locations. Which was not easy given that wardrobe boxes were used to pack books and other insanely heavy items. The only good I can say is the company responded quickly to my request for a quote, all employees were clean and polite, but obviously in order to have a successful move additional friends/family must be on hand to insure proper packing, labeling, and delivery. Although if one has the friends & family to spar for such a task the point of hiring a company like this seems redundant. Nothing broken was of any substantial value, the true cost of this move was paid by my time, energy & health, which is why this review was written and a one star given. read more

Stay away!!! If you call and Crystal answers...hang up. So disappointed with their scheduling, or should I say lack of the ability to schedule. Confirmed a date then they called to change it because i was on a full day, then reconfirmed a more convenient date for them....and they never showed - now aren't answering their phones at the office since 3pm. Stay away!!! Update: the moving crew showed up at 5pm...and were amazing! The office staff had no idea what they were doing today but these guys that loaded our truck were amazing. Never received a call from the office, no return of messages, etc. It's a real shame these moving crews have such a terrible administrative staff. read more

I'm not going to wax poetic about this, because I intend to put the matter behind me as I try and heal. I was completely humiliated by the two men who came to do... or rather NOT do... my move. I had told this company ahead of time that I am a disabled veteran that suffers chronic pain and that I was unsure what kind of help I would even need to get the move completed. Rather than even making an attempt at compromising with me, these people refused to even move the large items in my front room, citing the cleanliness of my home and embarrassing me in front of a friend. Hate to tell you... people with persistent chronic pain just *might* have problems with doing housework. If I could rate zero stars, I would. May they never experience issues like mine, and may their family members never have someone treat them as shabbily and arrogantly as was done to me today. I live in Tucson, AZ and needed a Moving Company. My first thing is to check the "reviews" of others. It is so much better to use a Local Owned company. I checked NextDoor App and many folks had recommended Nicolosi Moving & Storage Company. I checked their ratings: A Wonderful Rating in Angie's List and also checked The Better Business Bureau (BBB) - Rating of A. Mine was a small job and Jack and his son, Jack Jr. personally came to my house - no crew needed. I then recommended Nicolosi to a friend of mine (we both live in Omni Tucson National). She had a bigger job. The owner, Jack Nicolosi, talked with me in wanting to help her and he set the job up. Jack Jr (I believe is in charge of the "crew") was available via phone and I was able to talk to him the day of the job. My friend's job was completed yesterday and I believe she will do her own write up. There was a couple of us ladies all trying to "get our hands in the clay" but it was evident that these 3 guys knew exactly what they were to do. They went above and beyond as we nervously twittered about - cuz everyone wants to help, right? They were focused, wrapped everything, careful and respectful. An honest, careful mover that is also a local family business. What a nice change from prior experience. So many local movers are just outfits who hire strong looking young men and say "here, now you are a mover." Not these crews. I really felt like I was working with folks who treated this as a specialty career, whether it was packing items, wrapping furniture, or maneuvering through tricky narrow doorways. Even just seeing the tight efficiency with which they loaded the truck was impressive (and I've moved a LOT). If I have any complaint at all, it is that they are TOO careful! I had boxed all my stuff, or so I thought, but they wanted to wrap and box all my lamps (I had not done that) plus wrap almost everything that wasn't nailed down in blankets and plastic. I suppose you pay for that in labor time and in some ways it seemed like overkill, yet here I am settled in with not a single broken or missing item. I don't think complaining about "too much care" is a fair reason to knock any points off, so I give these guys five stars. read more

Nicolosi's is a family-run business and they treat their customers like family as well. We hired them to move two households, from our house and our 84 yr old mother's, out of state from Tucson to 2 homes in Southern California. All of the movers and office employees were unfailingly polite, respectful, and kind, and they took good care of our belongings while loading, storing, transporting, and unloading them. Most employees have worked for Nicolosi's for years and they clearly take pride in their jobs and their customer service. read more

Nicolosi Moving & Storage did an excellent job for us. When we first called for quotes they came right out, looked over the house and estimated the move. While it cost a bit more than the estimate, it was still fair and there were a lot of variables that could not have been anticipated. They packed our kitchen and took care of the back yard items. Everything was packed well, they sent 6 guys over to work on our move. It all took a really long time, so I'm happy they sent so many people so as to reduce the time we were dealing with it all. They packed our art carefully and they packed our furniture carefully. They were polite, fun but not obnoxious, asked permission before they played music and worked hard till the end. When they unloaded at the new house the next day they were attentive and listened to where we directed them. 95% of the boxes were in the right rooms, and a good number of the 5% were probably our fault anyway. They came back a week later and picked up some of the empty boxes for us too-which was great to get them out of the garage. I highly recommend this company. Both the owner and his son personally made sure our experience was a positive one, and the workers followed suit. At least one of them is a Yankees fan, which is the only downfall. I would give Nicolosi Moving and Storage a zero if I could. DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THIS COMPANY IF YOU VALUE YOUR POSSESSIONS. They lost over $5000.00 of my personal belongings while they were in Nicolosi's possession. They claim it was employee theft. In trying to resolve this painful situation, they returned only two of eight phone calls over a two month period, and finally offered to settle for $141.00. Their customer service is reprehensible. I was very impressed with the reviews. Unfortunetly, I would give this company a 0. Massive damage in many items. Careless packing and unpacking. This was a very expensive move to the Midwest. No feedback regarding a claim was offered. I was assured the organization had insurance. Staff were nice, but now I am stuck with thousand of dollars which will not be reimbursed. I had two 16' PODS containers loaded full that had made a cross country move and been stored for a year. Both PODS needed to be unloaded and put into my empty room so I can go thru them box by box at my leisure. There were all the heavy baddies like a treadmill, an upright player piano (crazy heavy), large solid oak wall units and DR furniture..... It went flawlessly. I had some water damage in one of the containers and the crew helped me layout the damaged boxes and pieces and photograph them and then put them in a separate outside storage in case there was mold inside the obviously wet and damaged packing boxes... This crew worked fast, did everything I asked, they damaged nothing and they were pleasant and fun during the entire unload. These 3 men managed to move a heavy upright player piano without a piano or refrigerator dolly up three steps and never put a scratch on it. read more

Nicolosi Moving & Storage, Inc., greatly reduced that anxiety with their professionalism, promptness, courtesy, and care...above all the CARE! The crews of John and Sam AND Jerry and Mark are definitely the gold standard when it comes to moving household items, appliances, and furniture. Seriously, these gentlemen treated everything as if it were fine china. We could have sworn it was choreographed! We don't think we've ever seen such expertise! From the washing machine to fragile nightstand lamps, everything seemed to glide effortlessly and SAFELY in their hands. We even finished the remodeling a few days early, and Nicolosi Inc., had no problems bumping us up to accommodate us. This is a fantastic moving and storage company to work with!
