After doing WAY to much research, we decided to trust our newborn's care with Dr. Nidhi Mehrotra and NPs. We absolutely LOVE this office. The reception staff are always friendly and very helpful, all of the nurse practitioners are very knowledgeable and listen to patient/parent needs, and Dr. Mehrotra is top-notch! She always makes time to get to know her patients. They are also skilled at finding last-minute appointments for those emergencies! The office is quick on referrals and helps with everything from health to nurturing topics. As first time parents, we were unsure of how to navigate life with a child. They have been with us every step of the way, reviewing milestones, and giving us updates on his progress. I cannot recommend this office enough!! read more

I love Dr Mehrotra herself. She would get 5 stars. She sits down with you and listens, ask questions and truly helps new moms and dads. There's a few problems after that. We rarely saw her after the first few visits and would get bounced around. I didn't know if this was normal or not until we found a new Dr who we see absolutely every time we schedule a wellness visit. Her office staff leaves something to be desired. They aren't friendly and it's a disorganized experience. The worst part, which made me find a new Dr is when they gave my child a vaccine they didn't need and had already received. "Oops!" Let me start by saying that Dr. Mehrotra and the NP's that we have seen at this office are all PHENOMENAL. However, front office/scheduling/insurance staff are completely incompetent. Phone calls and messages go unanswered and parent requests (making appointments with Dr or NP's) are completely ignored. We confirmed with staff that our appointment was with Dr. M several times and when I arrived to the office with my son they told me that I was going to be seen "next door." We declined and had to come back an hour and a half later to be seen by the doctor. We also sent over evaluations (that we were referred out for) and staff would not return our messages asking if the items had been received ( it's from us and from the outside physician). On a normal day, you can expect to wait in the waiting room FAR beyond the time of your appointment (I'm talking an hour plus) AND again in the room for up to an hour. Today was the only time we have been seen "on time" and this is only because we were the first appointment of the day. It's so disappointing because many friends of mine have had completely different experiences with this office. It feels like the office got "too busy too quickly" and staff can't keep up. I have been bringing my daughter here since she was born she recently just turned 8 ! Love the staff , love how quickly they get my child in for an appointment if she's not feeling well! Doctor and her medical team are amazing . They listen to my concerns and all my billions of questions . I know some may complain about additional testing that she pushes on and some may think she's doing it for money / to charge you an another additional thing BUT I always ask her the reasoning and she always reassures me it's to rule out other things . They don't pressure me on certain vaccines and respect how I want my little ones vaccines spaced out . They are amazing ! read more

I wish I could rate the providers and Front Office/MAs separately. All 3 providers, Erin NP, Erika NP, and Dr. Mehrotra get 5 stars! I'd give them more if I could, they are all wonderful!! They have treated myself, husband, and daughter with kindness and respect, even with all our strange questions/requests/concerns as first time parents. The front office staff.. meh. 2 stars ONLY BECAUSE some of them are very sweet and kind in the midst of the chaos, others are just cold and rude. They get 1 star for customer service. I'm not sure if they are disorganized or simply don't care. First strike was when I called to ask if my NB daughter's post vaccine symptoms were normal as she wasn't eating much -- they said they'd check in with a provider and call me back, and guess what.. SURPRISE! they didn't. They NEVER respond to their messages, never call/email back. I've called multiple times in a day in regards to appointments, and somehow they manage to never answer the phone, even if you call when they first open. They turn off the phone and redirect to Dr. Mehrotra's exchange before they are actually closed. If you can grit your teeth and get past the customer service issues, then this is a great office with great care! If not.. steer clear. read more

The only 2 girls that are nice and professional are Danielle and Breanna (I think that's her name) My son has an appointment for today and they called refusing to see him because supposedly we have a balance due! Mind you WE HAVE NEVER BEEN ASKED FOR A PAYMENT at check in or check out WE HAVE NEVER RECEIVED ANY INVOICES OR STATEMENTS ABOUT MONIES OWED. I spoke to the office lead and she was very rude. It's way over due for me to write this amazing Pediatrician a review... After having an ok experience w another Doctor for our new born in aug 2018. We decided to switch her to Dr. Mehrotra's clinic. What a day and night experience for our bundle of joy... Dr. Mehrotra is very detailed and takes genuinely takes interest in making sure your child is growing correctly. One of the thing I can't forget that she told us about our 2 yr olds eating habit. When we told her that Suhani only eat white food (past, milk and rice). Her response was "as a parents it's our responsibility to put healthy choices in front of our child. It's their responsibility to eat them. Even if they go without eating for couple days it will be ok " I love that she teaches even parents how to give tough love in the right manor. We have been seeing Dr. Mehrotra for more than 10 years. All my children are under her care and I completely trust her. She is by far one of the best children doctors in the valley. Her experience, attention to detail and empathy go beyond standards. The office is very clean and most of the staff is warm and welcoming. Her NP Erin is also phenomenal! Wait times have been a bit longer but to be honest, I don't mind it because when you find something or someone worth the while, everything else becomes irrelevant. Yes, I've had some some issues too like never being asked for co-pays to later be told I had an outstanding balance (I was very surprised) but in the end I would not trust anyone else with my child's health. I even turned down a job because the health insurance they offered would not allow me to keep Dr. Mehrotra as my children's pediatrician. I did not mind searching for a new doctor for myself but my kids need a doctor who also advocates for their health as much as I do. If that doesn't convince people how amazing she is...I don't know what will. read more

Dr. had my wife sign a paper waiver without clearer explainnotion why she had to sign for his shot which we never had to do before. Now he has major allergies or something acting like allergies. Wait times are long and it just seems like the front desk is very disorganized. Came in and waited and started noticing people who came in after were being seen. My kids went to dr Mehrotra for 9 years. Bad on my part to stick with her this long, but so hard to find understanding pediatricians. We almost never get to meet with her only NP. They keep pushing for hemoglobin testing when I go in for actual concerns. I'm so disappointed that she never took my concerns for my kids seriously. I always had to pay extra so I finally went over charges and they weren't suppose to bill me for. That didn't happen again. But my biggest regret is that I didn't stand firm with Dr and demand that she take my concerns seriously and now LOST so much time on getting real help for my kids because she didn't care and didn't refer my kids to specialists. read more

Dr. Mehortra has been my Sons doctors from the moment he was born. She came to see him a few hours he was born and had follow ups with right away. Her office is decorated beautifully all with pictures and decorations of Animals. We have had to wait a longer period of time to see her but have never had any issues seeing her directly. She has great bedside manner and is great with my son. She really is competent and is very up to date medically and in studies. Sometimes she does talk in medical terminology where we don't understand but then explains herself after being asked to do so. All in all she's a great doctor who cares about her patients and is always very nice. read more

I have nothing against the staff. Greg (the NP?) Is great and the nurses/girls in the front are meh but no complaints. Don't except to get ahold of them via phone. It took me two weeks of calling every day and finally calling the other office to schedule an appointment. Don't expect to be seen anywhere near your appointment time and don't bother showing up early. They are consistently running an hour behind, and have zero cares that you have been waiting 45 mins past your appointment time with a grumpy baby. Don't expect to ever see the actual Dr there. And if I were her I wouldn't go by that office either, compared to her other one. Don't go to the other office if you ever have medi-cal. You will walk out feeling like they only see the private insurance patients at the shiny new place and throw all us medi-cal folks in the old and sad building in the hood. Coming from someone who works their ass off and can't afford the $300 out of each paycheck for my kids to be covered under private insurance, it's a huge slap in the face to see the difference between the office that does accept medi-cal and the one that doesn't. I'm sure it wasn't meant that way, but that's what it sure feels like. Needless to say after a full year of the same hour-past-appointment-time bullshit and never once seeing the actual Dr there, I will be switching away from that office. Great practice! All providers are wonderful with both of my grandchildren when I bring them in for my daughter. Front desk staff is always very welcoming and accommodating even when it gets busy in the office. Glad my daughter was able to find such a great place to take my grandbabies. read more

It's now an hour past my appointment time and we are still waiting to be seen. This seems to be a frequent occurance here, as it's been a problem the past two years I've been at both this office and the old location downtown. Either they are understaffed, or overbooked, but either way something needs to change. I can't make additional plans for the day because I know that I will be stuck here way longer than I should be. You're better off utilizing an urgent care while searching for another pediatrician. It's a shame, because the one time we actually saw her (out of probably 20 visits) she was very sweet. read more

Dr. Mehrotra takes the time to explain things and answer all of your questions. She is up to date on all the latest research as well. Some people are complaining about long wait times. Honestly that's at any doctors office. If you have someone that cares, adds sick kids to the schedule, and takes the time to talk to you, they are going to run a little behind. Today my wife needed to bring our son in for a scheduled appointment at 3:30pm. At around 4pm my wife was brought to the back and the nurse who was assisting was kind of rude. It was about 5:01pm when the pediatrician finally walked through the door to start the appointment. Really guys? A hour and a half past a appointment is a lack of professionalism and a clear message that our time no concern for you business. Although they were apologetic this happens every time. I was there about two months ago and had a similar situation. Trying to quiet down a sick 2 year old isnt easy in a room. They leave you in there forever it feels like. Probably so you feel like youre going to be seen soon. The girls in the front desk are on their phones and talking about things that were about their personal lives. Look elsewhere for a pediatrician guys! They clearly have too many patients and cant handle the workload. We will be changing pediatricians from these past experiences. read more

I've been taking all my kids from birth to this doctor. 2009-2015. The changes over the years have been bad! Her office staff's to appointments are so unorganized!!! What happened!?!? The incident that took place just recently has pushed me over the edge to finally let her go and find someone else. I know that my kids would be replaced by other patients, but for her and her staff just to not care is so unlike them! They used to care and what happen now? The sad part is the urgent care knows more about my children's than this place. 103/rashes/vomiting and you wanted me to make the appointment for the following week? Is so uncalled for. 5 stars for this practice! Dr. Mehrotra is so pleasant. She is very knowledgeable, honest, and kind. Everything you would want in a physician. The ladies at the front desk are so sweet. There have been times that I've called the office and they get me in the same day! I see other reviews commenting on wait time which I've only experienced once (I understand things happen in a doctors office like patients running late or even emergencies that may set the doctor behind). The time I did wait, the staff was on top of it and let me know from the moment we checked in that the physician was running behind which is always appreciated when the staff informs you of situations like this. We have seen both Dr. Mehrotra as well as Erica the NP. Erica is amazing, she is very informative, comforting, and always puts a smile on our faces! I moved to Fresno last summer, and had to find a new pediatrician for my kids. I asked around to every person with kids I met, to get recommendations for pediatricians. Just like any parent, I was looking for a doctor who is experienced and highly competent, has good bedside manner, and a clean, professional office with friendly staff. From everyone I asked, I was given dr mehrotra's name by an overwhelming majority. I've now been seeing her since last summer for my three kids. Her office is certainly beautiful and clean, and, for the most part, professional. Front desk staff aren't exactly unfriendly, but they're definitely not actively pleasant. They're all noticeably aloof and cool, and avoid being warm and kind. Still, they're ok. Dr mehrotra herself certainly is competent, is very professional and has a great bedside manner. She never makes me feel like she's rushing my appointment, she's clear, she listens, and she's really sweet and friendly to my kids. Her NP, Erin, I really like also. It's clear that she's also great at her job, and easy to talk to. All in all, I'm happy with the office - my one and only real gripe is the WAIT. I have come to dread appointments there simply bc I know it'll take me two hours to have an appointment where I see the dr or NP for only 10 or 15 minutes. I hate it. And I do understand that they can't guarantee the day will go on schedule, with sick kids coming in same day with no appointment, etc. but still. It's every time, and it's so extreme. read more

We LOVE Dr. Mehrotra and couldn't imagine going anywhere else! We have been seeing her since my daughter was born. She TAKES THE TIME to explain every detail about my daughter's health. I'm a first-time parent and very nervous about raising a child, but every time that I leave her office, I feel relieved, confident, and that all of my questions were answered in great detail. Because she takes the time with each of her patients, I understand why there would need to be a little bit of a wait at every visit. I want the other parents to get the same time with the doctor that I get! Oh, and the all staff are so welcoming and helpful.
