My daughter woke up with a fever this morning so I called the office around 10am and they were quick to schedule an appointment for her the same day to be seen. When we arrived checking in was easy. We were greeted by Yadira at the front desk who had the sweetest smile, even my 2 year old son who is pretty shy warmed up to her quickly. Our wait time in the waiting room was probably less than 2 minutes. When you enter the door to go to your room, you're welcomed by this beautiful carousel horse. We were taken into our designated room which the doors were color coded. I love that idea especially for kids to learn and know their colors. The medical assistant Normie was very kind and caring. She was empathetic when she saw how sick my daughter was feeling. She had done a nasal swab to test for flu and Covid and was very gentle with her. Dr. Garcia was very kind and thorough with his exam. He explained everything clearly and answered all of my questions in a manner that I can easily understand. He spent a good amount of time with us which made our visit feel so much better. Most doctors make you feel rushed but he didn't make us feel that way at all. I highly recommend Dr. Garcia to anyone looking for a pediatrician. He's a great doctor that's knowledgeable and his office staff is amazing.

She kept saying hep b was extremely necessary at this age (which is not, my child was a newborn). She made me feel really uncomfortable & I felt extremely pressured. When we went out to tell her we will not be vaccinating today she told me they don't take anti vaccinators. I literally just wanted to delay them & she degraded me. I switched immediately.

Some NP's pay attention and give a great level of care, some...you're just another name on the list. There is no longer a sick area waiting room. You have newborns and infants with no immune system in the same area as sick children. It takes me 6 or 7 phone calls to get my daughters monthly prescription refilled. I have to practically beg. She runs out every month and we're stuck waiting, at minimum, weeks in between fills because for whatever reason...they won't send her refill in! This alone has made me decide we will probably be switching to another pediatrician. Referrals take months. Paperwork is never ready in a timely manner. Everything but scheduling visits is such a headache and frustrating. Unfortunately since we've been patients here, the attention to detail, urgency, and patient care has only gotten worse year after year. For new parents, I would avoid.

Red flag #2 was when my daughter was prescribed a new medication and when I called for a refill I was told this practice charges $10 to refill a prescription. On top of the actual cost at the pharmacy. That's an additional $120 a month. I cannot wrap my brain around why they would do this. I decided to go elsewhere.
