During my recent visit to unites health center I observed a male staff member of Sang Pediatrics the office next door standing in front of the office vaping and speaking loudly on the phone while using profanity. This occurred in the presence of patients and children entering and exiting both clincs. Such behavior is highly unprofessional and reflects poorly on the medical practice. It took me two weeks to contact the office manager and file a complaint. Her name is Bow, and she told me, "I know the gentleman you're talking about," indicating this is a recurring issue with this worker. Staff is very obnoxious sat there smirking the entire time I explained why having a one month old wait in a hot car was not something I was comfortable with being that she might overheat. Only came here to get daughters Covid-19 vaccine but had NEVER heard of this place. Was very disappointed I had not come here with my kids when they were small. Walking into the office I was taken back to MY childhood and the way doctors offices USED to be. Small, cozy, individualized. As soon as I checked in my daughter, my first response was "I wish I had found this place 20 years ago! I had taken my kids to local "clinics" and was treated like cattle from the get go. I'm conflicted in how to rate Sang Pediatrics. If I'm to rate the office staff, I would rate them 5 stars, hands down. BUT! To rate Dr. Sang, I would have to give him a 2. It isn't okay to yell and use profanity in front of my child because we disagree on best treatments for son. My views as my child's mother do not matter to him and he demands you trust him 100% or go somewhere else. So, we have now switched providers. He seems to have a huge ego problem, and pride exceeds perhaps what he is actually able to do. I've had issues with IDC10 coding on an Xray order and he refused to admit he wrote a wrong code, instead blaming the staff at CRMC radiology as being "idiots." He seems to be extremely unhinged and needs professional help from a psychiatrist. read more

Our boys love coming here, sick or well. The staff are all so friendly. The providers are amazing, knowledgeable and trustworthy. We never have to wait long even as a walk-in on the busiest days. Now with the new location open, the wait time is even shorter. Also, we appreciate what you guys do for the community. Been coming here for about 15 years now for both of my children . Very caring and listens to all yours and your child's worries without assuming the child is lying like some doctors would. Wait time is pretty long but you would want them to do a thorough examination with your children right? If I could give negative stars I would. Useless place of medical treatment for kids they don't even check the child's file before they start dismissing patients. They try to refer you every where else because they don't know what they are doing. Tried to see why my kid has been having a fever which are causing him seizures and they told me I had to go back to valley childrens even though valley childrens sent me to them because their ER is too full. DO NOT TAKE YOUR CHILDREN HERE! My insurance changed, I absolutely loved my son's first pediatrician (Dr. John Kim) when he was first born. When we switched to see Dr. Sang we had high expectations since we were first time parents. First of all, the staff are rude, they never smile, they answer the phone like we're bothering them. The office is completely disorganized and FILTHY. BUT MY BIGGEST ISSUE WITH DR. SANG was that my son was a late bloomer when it came to walking, he started walking between 13-14 months, my son is very fair skinned (I'm the mom, I'm white and dad is also white) he has light light brown hair and brown eyes, he also has my smile which takes up our whole face, my son is also very happy and smiles a lot. He has a very bright big smile. ANYWAYS, my son just started walking when we came in to see Dr. Sang for my sons CHECKUP. My son was still a little wobbly. When the doctor walked in, he has his laptop in his hand and did not even welcome us or ask us anything regarding our son. We only saw Dr. Sang TWO times for checkups/shots before this visit. He brings his laptop and shows us HORRIFIC photos of these children with this certain rare disorder. He stated "I think your son has this" he started showing us pictures and said the reason why is "he is very light skinned and very happy (mind you, my son has always cried his eyes out at every doctors visit, this visit he was actually happy lol) and has a large smile" NOT ONCE DID THE DOCTOR DO ANY EXAMINATIONS, NOT ONCE DID HE EVEN DO AN EXAMINATION OF MY SONS FEATURES, WE ONLY SAW HIM TWICE FOR CHECKUPS/SHOTS. He then left us completely speechless, looked at my sons features for one second and said "well maybe not." Told us to have a good day and then left the room. WE WERE FLABBERGASTED AND EXTREMELY UPSET. We never stepped foot in that building again. My son is now two, he has hit every milestone and we have a great pediatrician, our first visit with my sons new pediatrician we brought up what Dr. Sang said, he actually had to look up this disorder because it was extremely rare, took one look at my son and said absolutely not, he wanted Dr. Sangs name (in which I told him) and the new pediatrician APOLOGIZED to me and stated "I'm so sorry, you should have never went through that, that is extremely unprofessional". Being new parents this was traumatic and scary. I hope he looses his license and this place gets shut down. Me and my family are grateful to have Dr.Sang and his team as our family pediatric doctor. Once established, making appointment is easy. My kids have been seeing his FNP, and she is so sweet! If your kid needs to get in before their assigned appointment, just call and they usually can get you in on the same day or as soon as possible. This place was my childhood doctor and the old doctor was nice and very friendly. All of the staff in there are really nice and helpful to me and my family. But as this new Doctor came in and took over his mom spot, he was really rude. As a parents we know our child and knows our manners. But this new dr. New sang he thinks he's a doctor and he can say whatever he wants to the client. He doesn't know if he offend them or not. He can at least use some better words to say it but I guess he's a doctor so he can say whatever to the parents. Hopefully in the future he can change his manner to become a better person as when he speaks. If I was to give 0 star it would be for him. Honestly wasn't satisfied because I had a confirmation about my daughter getting a tb shot , in the end she didn't get it because she didn't pass their test . No doctor should ever do that ! This place is nice and full of staff. A big waiting room with things to keep the kids entertained. Great idea! .. then you're probably wondering why the 3 stars.. Will I called to set up an appointment for my son. A guy picks up. Went to my appointment and it turns out the dude never scheduled it. I look to my left on the reception desk and he's smiling at me. Yes that's him.. the only male working in the front. So I had to wait a hour to be seen. Plus the staff needs to brighten up a bit. Dr himself is rude and cocky. Just because you are a doctor does not mean you treat patient like they are stupid. He will refuse to care for your kids and tells you to take them elsewhere if you dont listen to him. I have been a patient of Dr. Orathai Sangs' throughout my childhood into my teenage years. She has always been an excellent pediatrician and I never encountered any kind of problems with her or the staff. Since I had my daughter in 2013, she is now seeing Dr. New Sang. and I am comfortable that he is just as knowledgeable as his mother. He is a very kind doctor, and is definitely one of the best doctors available for people in the Central Valley. He has always treated my daughter gentle at every appointment, and I can tell that she is comfortable under his care. He is always willing to prescribe medications for my daughter if she is sick, and explains what is going on with her health very thoroughly. I highly recommend this pediatrician for your child. As long as you listen to his advice, and take good care of your children there shouldn't be any conflict. I plan on keeping my daughter under his care until she can no longer see him. read more
