I am incredibly surprised to see so many reviews for this company stating they were provided great customer service. I called today seeking information in connection with a window replacement project after a positive asbestos test, and Kevin was extremely rude and unprofessional. He would not allow me to finish my sentences since the beginning of the call, rudely saying "stop" multiple times (so much my husband wanted to hang up the phone after the first few seconds), then proceeded to suggest we keep testing until finding a sample below the threshold and, finally, said he was too busy to deal with me. We had to remove 1400 sqft worth of Asbestos from our home which consisted of interior and exterior popcorn acoustic ceilings, acoustic walls, AC ducts and water heater vents. As we had quite a bit of square footage to remove, Kevin (owner) gave us a deal on the entire removal project and got all the work done in a day. He brought in a crew of about 7-8 people who all worked swiftly and diligently. We were asked to get all the furniture out of the rooms that will be worked on as they would be taping the entire room with plaster so that non of the Asbestos gets on. I didn't realize the extent of prep work was involved. They taped almost the whole house off like the scene from 'ET'. The prepping took a good solid 4-5 hours. For extra payment, Kevin's team also took out some of the unwanted wall cabinets that were stuck on the wall with asbestos. Be the time they were finished it was about 10pm. They started at 8am so Total 14 hours. All the waste was properly exposed by them except for some of the materials that involved demolition. All the demolition materials were left for us in bags for us to easily dump out. After everything had been scraped off they wiped all the floors down and moved some of the heavy furniture back into the house for us. Definitely recommend Kevin's services if you have a big project that involved asbestos removal. Now our house is asbestos free and ready for renovation. read more

LIFESAVER!!!! A month ago asbestos was found in my rental property and so I began down the not-fun road of stressing, researching and meeting abatement professionals. I'm sad to say it was a disappointing experience. Kevin Nielsen is a true professional. I reached out to five companies (some referrals and other through Yelp reviews) to remove approximately 2,100 sf of popcorn off of the ceilings of my new home. Out of the five, only four companies returned my calls. Out of those four, only three even sent me quotes. Out of the three, Nielsen Environmental had the best responsiveness (to both email and phone), best rate, best availability and best turnaround time. I called Kevin on a Monday and emailed him the results of the asbestos testing that had already been done, received a quote Monday night, gave him the thumbs up on Tuesday and signed the contract and met him in person by Wednesday. The other two companies quoted me 4-5 days and 7 days for a job that took Kevin and his crew 1.5 days to complete. I am in the process of fixing up one of my properties and found out that one of the rooms had asbestos tiles in it that I wanted to remove. I have no experience with asbestos, so I got on the internet and did a lot of research.I found out that one should be very experienced in dealing with it to avoid any health problems.
