What a wonderful experience. James, the owner was fantastic at assisting us during the whole process. We ended up with the exact engineered hardwood flooring that we wanted. The Nielson flooring installation crew was incredible, they taped and sealed everything off to contain all of the dust during the demo process. Great experience from the initial visit to the showroom, scheduling, and installation. We had recently purchased a home and wanted new floors throughout the 4000 sq. ft. home. We shopped several flooring companies. Nielson was professional, extremely responsive and hands-on throughout the process, provided a competitive price, started and completed the project within a very reasonable timeframe, and did an amazing job on the installation. James helped us select a quality engineered hardwood floor and walked us through the entire process. His crew had an incredible attention to detail. Our staircase turned out amazing even though it was a challenging aspect of the project. The transition between the new floors and the tile in the bathrooms was prefect. A skill that has nearly vanished over the years. James was the only installer that didn't insist on using thresholds at each door. The floor came in various lengths making it more complicated to install. The floor variation was spot on. The crew was careful to ensure the randomness throughout. James Nielson is one of those persons you enjoy doing business with and recognize he's a person of integrity, takes pride in what he does, and cares about his customers. Very nice couple, but follow-through is lacking. Customer service is barely there. We had our entire home of 4100 SQ FT recarpeted, and there were a few problems that we reported. Now about 10 months out the problems still haven't been fixed. They don't return calls, make lots of promises but nothing is fulfilled. We wanted to support local businesses, so paid a bit more for the product and installation than with several other companies, but still waiting for the fix. A bit disappointing. read more

We first met the owner, James Nielson, and immediately felt comfortable hiring his company to install our hardwood floors. He had a number of varieties to choose from, but what really separated James was his personable + professional demeanor AND the extreme ease of scheduling. We had lots of contractors doing different work in our house, which created lots of potential conflict in working in the same spaces. This is where James really shined and was able to create a schedule that would work with the timeline that we needed. Once that schedule was created, it was up to the team to execute that plan. Milan, Marko and Nick worked incredibly hard and did superb work during this entire process. They were professional, extremely clean, considerate and a joy to work with. House remodeling can be a stressful experience but the team of Nick, Marko and Milan made things much easier on us as the homeowners. What can I say about Nielsen's Flooring? Nothing positive. After assuring my family that we would be personally check on during our flooring process by James Nielson, we didn't see him once. We didn't see him after we complained that we had to do extensive painting after their flooring workers left. We also said that there were areas where the flooring was not joined properly and squeaked. We also said that our cabinets were damaged. We also said the installers had broken a number of items, We were personally assured by Mrs. Nielson,however, we never did hear back from them. I guess paying almost $30,000 for our flooring doesn't allow for any customer service. read more

We had nielsons install our flooring a couple years ago. We had an issue with our carpet that was not the fault of nielsons. After a lot of effort, nielsons went ahead and ate the cost of replacing our carpet to make us happy after the manufacture would not stand by their product. We had luxury vinyl tile flooring put in our kitchen and huge hallway. Nielsen flooring did a fantastic job. They came out for a free estimate, and did very careful and accurate measurement. They explained how the existing travertine would be ground smooth before placing the LVT on the floor and talked in detail about the transitions to the different adjoining spaces.
