At my follow-up appointment, I was unexpectedly told I owed an additional $1,300 for work completed during the extraction that was later denied by my insurance. My concern is that these procedures were performed without clearly informing me that they might not be covered or that I could be responsible for additional costs. When I contacted my insurance company, they advised that the office could submit additional documentation for review, but I did not feel the office was willing to pursue that option. Patients deserve clear communication about treatment, insurance coverage, and potential out-of-pocket expenses before procedures are performed.

Nicole at the front desk was especially helpful and provided excellent customer service. I recently had a root canal done the week prior and came in to see Dr. Akinwande Kolade for a core buildup in preparation for my crown. She and her hygienist took very good care of me and made sure everything was done properly. She carefully prepared the tooth for the crown and placed a temporary while I wait to return in 2-3 weeks for the permanent crown. The procedure took about an hour, which is understandable given the work involved. Even though I had to keep my mouth open for a while, Dr. Kolade and her team remained professional, patient, and attentive throughout the process. Overall, it was a very positive experience, and I would definitely recommend Dr. Akinwande Kolade and her office to others.

Like when my insurance denied my root canal and crown claim and I was forced to pay out of pocket for both procedures. I first met Dr. Gross when I moved to the area a few years ago and he has since been my favorite dentist I've ever had. He is effective in answering every single question I've had. He'll even go on to further and clarify if what I am doing will help my dental care or If I will be wasting my money. For example, when I asked about scheduling a third cleaning each year he explained that it wasn't that necessary as plaque build-up is effectively maintained with two cleanings. In the past, I've had multiple dentists advise me to pay out of pocket for a third cleaning as it was necessary to stop build-up of plaque and that two appointments weren't really effective. More recently, my wife and I both needed to have a root canal and crowns completed. Dr. Gross worked with us by referring us to a colleague for the root canal who was fast and efficient. On the day of my appointment, Dr. Gross called him and requested he add in a post to my tooth to help maintain the integrity. Since mine was a retreatment, my insurance denied my claim and both offices worked with me by giving me a discounted rate. For my wife, following her root canal, Dr. Gross surprised her and told her she did not need the crown as there was minimal decay. I didnt think that was even feasible but I'm happy it is. His office is always clean, and is located in a small outdoor strip mall with plenty of parking. He's always happy, his staff is always smiling, and lastly, yes, he is always cracking jokes. For three years now I've enjoyed spending time in his office whether its speaking about old movies, Dr. Gross is a fan of Black & White films, or hearing another one of his corny dad jokes, or talking about his dog, its always a pleasant time even if I have to have a crown.

He and his equally amazing team, made sure I was comfortable and felt welcomed in the office. I'm excited about the future of my oral health.
