Its not just cleanest Laundrymat I've been in, the owners are amazing! We had a fire this past September, she helped us get the smell out of someone of our clothes we were trying to salvage to help us feel more comfortable. Also as mentioned they are not good about wanting to give you your money back when the machines are not working right. They tried to tell me I was there the day before with the same broken machine trying to tell them the same thing. Number one I can barely afford to go one day a week to do my laundry in one load. Number two if I had not been at work and was there the day before for some apparent reason how would I know it wasn't working the day before even if you don't put it out of order sign on it. Unfortunately I probably will still use it for spring and summer because I like to get things done and hopefully be out of this hell somehow for winter when I have my own laundry.

The floors are filthy, trash everywhere and dirty. The machine was off balance and didn't properly spin the clothes. The machine never dispensed the detergent into the clothes. The seal that keeps clothes and water in the machine was torn, making the machine leak and it nearly ate 2 articles of my clothing. I had to wring the extra water out of my clothes out before I could put them in the dryer. I'm writing this while I wait for the dryer. Who only knows how that's going to go. I'll edit this post if that goes bad as well.

I have been using Royal Cleaners for twelve years and…read morewhen their lack of maintenance on their laundry equipment ripped one of my dress shirts they would repair it or give me store credit for more laundry. This is a laundry after all and I have been soft-soaped into returning despite a history of frequent damage to my garments. The most recent occasion of asking for a repair to a shirt in early August involved a small rip between the collar and the right front placket of a dress shirt, not visible because it was under the collar but still annoying and it was Royal's fault. I asked to have it stitched up, the business manager accepted responsibility to accomplish the repair but there was some grumbling. It came back with an iron on patch that extended below the collar and looked so bad the shirt was essentially a work shirt instead of a dress shirt. I insisted the repair be redone so I could actually wear the shirt. More grumbling. I came back the next day to soothe the dyspeptic business manager because we had been cordial over the years and the grumbling degenerated into an accusation that I was trying to cheat the company. I left upset because this insult was delivered in front of staff and other customers. I still fail to understand how asking for a repair to a shirt they had damaged was cheating the company. Two days later I was commanded by text message to pick up my shirt immediately. It was properly repaired this time. Two days ago roughly a month later I returned to Royal to drop off some laundry and was told by a staff member that they would no longer accept my business.
