There is a pretty wide selection of colors, they have plenty of different spa/nail salon/aesthetician services, and my pedicure turned out well. As a fellow service provider in the beauty industry it pains me to write this, but the service here is just awful...and unhealthily gross. I am very forgiving when it comes to my friends in the industry as a hairstylist of 20 years. I understand being tired, exhausted and burnout. So I typically avoid writing reviews like this. I booked a gel pedi for me and a friend. We arrived right on time to the place smelling of rotting fish in the sun. We almost left over the smell it was so bad. They scurried us back and the smell improved over our visit. I'm hoping it was someone's lunch... We get seated into our chair and my friend had a person that took great care and time with her. My person was so concerned about what was happening around the shop she paid no attention to me hardly. Yelling across the salon and hopping between two other pedicures. I spent the hour I was there mainly with my feet in water. She quickly trimmed my nails exfoliated the bottom painted the gel on and a twenty second massage. I sat there next to my friend extremely jealous that she was getting a full pampered experience while I was rushed and probably had a total of 10 minutes with my person. When I walked up to the front I was astonished I was charged $60 for the service I received. My friend I and both were shocked at the sanitation habits we saw happening around the salon. We're both professional hairstylist that are fully aware of state board practices and this place is not following them. I am thrilled to pay up to $100 for a great pedicure, but it's totally nuts to charge $60 for a 30 minute pedicure where your not even receiving full attention from your service provider. I will never ever return after this experience. read more

Glad this place is in my neighborhood. Covid--19 guidelines are in place and it feels safe and clean. I called to make an appointment beforehand. $20 regular mani, $35 for pedicure. I would give this salon a 0 if I could. This was my first time here and at first the staff was polite, but when I realized that they blatantly talk about you to each other, it made my experience extremely uncomfortable. I got a shellac mani/pedi. The pedicure I received looks okay from far away but close up it's pretty sloppy compared to other salons I've been to. As for my manicure, they layered on too much shellac, unevenly onto my nail so it looks lumpy from a side angle. I also asked for square nails with rounded edges, but every single nail seems to have a different shape, they don't look uniform. Both thumbs are crooked due to laziness with filing. When I went to go pay I left a smaller tip than I usually do because I did not like the work they did. When the woman at the front desk saw the amount she asked why that was all I tipped. This was a really awkward exchange, as I had never been asked anything like this before. When she left the front desk she proceeded to laugh about it with the other workers. Overall, this is not a salon I will be returning to nor will I be recommending it to anybody. read more

Found this place off of Groupon...I see why they needed the marketing. The nail tech laughed (at me) because I picked an ugly ass black color and I had to cut my nails super short prior to going here because they kept on breaking on me. She said something like I should keep my nails long because it looks better and kept asking a disbelieving tone "you like this?". No I regretted my black polish decision but I knew it was temporary and she didn't have to keep on making me feel bad while she was painting them! It doesn't matter because my nails chipped and peeled off after only 5 days. This is the worst quality gel manicure I've ever gotten! read more

I have been going to Night Light for several years and have always had a great experience. The salon is always clean, the massage chairs are comfortable, and there are lots of polish colors to choose from. I feel pampered by Van's caring and professional staff. Occasionally I go in with an ingrown nail which needs special care and I know it will be painful, however Van and her staff are super careful and get the job done! I wanted to like this salon after finding out they were opened late and that fit my schedule. I forget the nail tech name I think it was Van and she is the one with her child there too while working. But I was overcharged for my mani and pedi. First off I got a full set but she didn't ask me if I wanted gel or acrylic. She automatically did gel because I said I wanted French tips. Then she applied the gel very thick and didn't fit the nails on very well. So of course throughout the week my nails were getting caught in my hair and stuff because they weren't fitted on properly. Second off she did my pedicure first and just painted my nails and let that dry then did the paraffin and massage after my nails were painted? I thought that was odd. But she over charged me $150 for both manicure set and pedicure and thinking she over charged cause she offered some wine too and wonder if that is the reason for the overcharge because she served me white wine too??? Pre-covid this was my go-to nail salon -- sometimes the sanitary procedures were not as meticulous as I would have liked, but all in all, it used to be a competent mani-pedi, at a good price. However, trying the salon again post-covid, I will NOT be going back. This is why: I went in with my favorite summer shoulder bag, which is made of canvas. I put the bag next to the chair. While painting my nails, the manicurist knocked the polish on the floor. She picked it up and finished my nails out of the same bottle which had spilled on the floor. "Not great" I thought. But what was REALLY not great is that when I went to pick up my shoulder bag, I found a long, thin, nail polish splash on it. I brought this to the manicurist's attention and asked her how I could get it off. I'm sure that she knew that I knew she was lying when she said that the nail polish would easily come off with water. The owner was not there, so I decided not to confront the manicurist. Instead I emailed the salon (presumably reaching the owner) explaining the problem and attaching a photo. After almost 3 weeks I have heard back NOTHING. The bag is pretty much wrecked. This salon has definitely gone too far downhill for me to return. read more

I have been going to Night Light for years now and they always treat me so well and make my nails look gorgeous. Van, the owner, is so sweet and always asks me how I'm doing and has remembered my name since the first time I went in. I usually get a shellac Mani and they have an easy to access big selection of gel and dip powder! Very reasonably priced, super clean, and a cute space. They always do a hot parafin wax on your hands at no additional cost and it feels amazing! I'm a guy and they have never treated me different because I get my nails painted, unlike some other salons. Today was my first time at Night Light Nail Salon. I was excited that my boyfriend had bought me the Groupon for the shellac manicure & deluxe pedicure. I showed up way earlier than my appointment, yet they were able to accommodate me right away even though they were busy. I am very pleased with my shellac manicure from Van. I showed her a picture of the color I wanted from Instagram, and she was able to find that same color in the salon. The neck/shoulder massage was an extra bonus that I did not expect. Van touched the "magic spots" on my neck that released a good amount of tension. I wish she was also a full time massage therapist! Van did not miss any spots for my manicure and it looks very clean and professional. I am very disappointed with my deluxe pedicure. When I left the salon I had only looked at my pedicure from far away and thought it looked good, however that was a mistake. No more than an hour after leaving the salon and returning home (I wore flip fops home) I got a closer look at my pedicure under the light and noticed that it looked sloppy and smeared. I am not as pleased at all. Overall I am not at all pleased with the pedicure and will probably never get one here again, however I will likely return for the shellac manicure. read more

The ladies here are so wonderful!! Got my husband to go with my to get a pedicure (first timer) along with a group of girls and a little girl. After going there for two years, the service has gone downhill so much. They're great prices just not equal the discomfort and pain that I experienced there. The ladies are working so fast, they consistently file and hit my cuticles to the point of bleeding. The owner seemed like a lovely woman and I told her it was my worst experience there. I was thoroughly impressed by the shellac manicure from my nail tech, Hanh! I came in to get my nails done and left super satisfied ! They have a great color selection And service is efficient and fast ! Hanh paid close attention to details on my nails and helped me pick out the perfect color for my nails ! It was busy which is a good sign and I was seated immediately and offered a drink which is very thoughtful! I will definitely make the trip out to see Hanh again for my nails ! If I could give zero stars I would, this was the worst service and Nail experience I have ever had and I get my nails done often. The lady I had my appointment with peeled my previous dip nails off and the first couple times I said it hurt she said "I haven't done anything yet" I ended up telling her to stop to soak off the last few. After putting the acrylic on and when she started using her sander (and I say sander because it felt like my nails were getting sanded off) to thin them out and I had to make her stop for a minute jt hurt so bad. She yanked my hand around to do things and did not listen to me when I asked for specific shape my nails look horrible and I asked for simple work. She also made a comment when I asked for extra charges and she said "we have to tell you before we do work for extra charges" when she infact did not tell me I had to pay extra for the removal until after she started removing. She was definitely complaining about me when I asked her fix a couple nail shapes as well. My step mom next to me getting her nails look like absolutely crap, she paid to get tips put on BUT the lady doing hers literally filed the tip off after. Honestly WORST SERVICE I have ever had in my life. Thank god it was a Groupon deal and anyone paying full price for these services is crazy. My step moms nails really irk me because this was a luxury for her she doesn't do this for her self she works very hard doing yard work and at her job with her hands daily. I went back to Night Light despite the previous bad experience after calling 3 other nail salons and they were all busy; Night Light could get me in right away. The service I received this time was good. At the beginning of my service, the ladies were talking enthusiastically and loudly about something in their native tongue rather than interacting with customers as some of the higher end places would. But after that settled down, the woman working on me was attentive. The shop is older and could use an update or at least a very thorough dusting, and the massage was fairly weak and short. But because of its location, I had a good enough experience to come back more often, that is, if my first choice can't get me in. read more

I came here cause of a Groupon. It's easy to an appointment. You walk in and they have a QR code for you to scan for COVID questions. Your temperature gets taken and they seat you. Everything seems really rushed. They had us scan the QR code, but then told us to choose a color and sit down while we were on our phones. They sat us at two chairs not next to each other, which was fine. But when more customers came in, they sat someone in between us... so we ended up texting each other instead!! The nail technicians were also rushing things - and didn't spend too much time on us. It seemed like must of their customers had Groupons, so they were going for volume sales. I wanted a pedicure because there were so much dead skin on my feet - but they barely scrubbed them. All in all - cheap price, but terrible service. read more

I've had a couple of manicure experiences here since my brow wax review, and... they've been pretty good! The first manicure was awesome because it was only about $12 (before tip), they spent like an hour with me, and there was a long shoulder/scalp/forehead massage... but the massage wasn't very good because the lady didn't seem to care and wasn't paying attention to the massage half the time it was happening. Kind of awkward, but... my nails still looked pretty good. And it was still cheap. The second time I mostly ended up here because they were open until 8pm (later than many nail salons!), and I decided to go for french tips. That service was about $17 instead of $12, but my nails looked good, the polish lasted a long time, and they even kept the shop open a little late to finish up my nails. It was kind of awkward because they were getting restless and at one point it was just me and a bunch of employees that were chatting and cleaning up, but... it was still good. Oh, and the massage was better this time. Shorter but better. Is it fancy? No, definitely not. Is it a good nail salon? Sure. read more

I paid for a Brazilian wax through Groupon and ended up leaving half waxed, with bumps and a scab on my clitoris. Due to me being pregnant I haven't had the time or energy to shave for a few months so I thought I would treat myself to a Brazilian wax through Groupon, I've been waxed plenty of times before so I'm aware it isn't painless, but I never experienced that much pain in my life. She did attempt to trim the hairs down, but not enough so it wouldn't pull. I'm a cosmetology and am licensed to do basics waxing (legs, arms, facial, under arms, etc) so I understand the process of it. The hair was not cut low enough so it hurt more and it didn't get the hair from the hair follicle. I left with the lower half, inner lips and my Anus still covered with hair. Not to Mention a scab on my clit from where she put wax and attempted to yank my clit and labia off. I tired to assist and keep the skin taunt so it wouldn't be so much tension, but she moved my hands. When you wax You're suppose to keep the skin taunt and pull in the direction of hair growth, neither of which she did. Every esthetician and cosmetologist knows this. I literally waddled out the salon. She told me to save and I could come back and she'll wax again, but I gotta pay for it. I left a small tip to be nice, but never again. I've never had this problem at any of the other nail salons or spas I've frequented. I also think I had slight skin irritation from the wax. I don't know if the scissors she used were clean or disinfected. Nor did she have gloves on or wash her hands before she came into the room. She kept popping her head in and out, and she didn't use an antiseptic wipe or dry before waxing me. read more
