My husband and I went here for Mani Pedis. Should have known better as they only have 3 star rating. When you're picking your color most if not all of the polishes available are very old and that also should have been a clue. They just do the bare minimum of a pedicure and rub your skin versus your actual muscles or foot. The scrub they put on for less than 30 seconds and they just rush through the whole thing even though no one was waiting. My husband needed his cuticles done on hands and feet and they are still all rough. Just not worth the time or money. I've been getting my lashes done here by Thanh for years. She always does an amazing job! I've had the other lash artist do them also and she's also great. They are always busy with clients so I know I'm not the only one who loves them. The only thing is calling to book with the front desk doesn't work you have to text the lash artist directly (+1 (206) 769-1239) she's always responsive and will quickly get you booked. I absolutely love getting my nails done here, and so does my boyfriend! I typically get a gel/shellac manicure and a regular pedicure while my boyfriend gets a mani/pedi. What first really got me in the door were the prices. My gel mani costs me $25 and a pedicure is $15. A regular mani/pedi only costs my boyfriend $25 plus he gets a pretty decent shoulder and arm massage out of it. The staff is great and personable if you feel like talking. If not, they'll definitely respect your quiet time. The space is very clean and comfortable. The quality of service is superb! My nails are always looking fabulous! By far the worst nail salon I have ever been too! The service is literally terrible. I walked in for a gel manicure and pedicure and they completed me in half an hour. The pedicure was literally just cut you nails, a scrub, and polish. Then the lady who was taking of my previous gel did not let the gel lift off with acetone and literally scrubbed it off my nail with a file. No regard for my nail bed. Then I asked if I could please paint my hand sitting at a manicure table because the twisting was hurting my back and she fought with me and told me no. I had to literally ask the man at the front desk to explain to her that I was not gonna paint my nails sitting in the pedicure chair all uncomfortable. Then she progressed to speak in her native language to the man in front of me. Then to top it off the paint job is uneven, sloppy, and messy. She did not apply the gel top coat correct and now my nails are sticky. I cannot believe It. It was the worst manicure and pedicure by far. Unbelievable. read more

Let me start by saying, I hate giving bad reviews... but this was just a complete waste of my money and time. I came in without an appointment, which was fine as they sat me right away with no wait at all... I had shellac on my nails and needed it taken off (apparently there is an extra $5 charge for this which I only found out at the end)- Which I know some places do, so I'm not dogging on them for this- just wish they would have mentioned it. Anyways.. after missing some of the shellac, the lady that was doing a polish change for me sped extremely fast through painting my nails a light pink that I had picked out. She did a VERY sloppy job. Every nail you can see that the 2nd coat of pink polish is only slapped onto the middle on my nails, not even close to the edges- this outraged me. I literally could have done a better job than the service they gave me. She sped so fast through doing my nails (no other people had come in or were waiting in line) then went and sat near the back in a chair on her phone for the rest of the time that I sat there next to the fan drying my nails. Clearly she had no rush to service another customer. I am so unhappy with this service, which is too bad because they have good prices and are very conveniently located to where I live, but I can't say I would ever give them my money again. Well, this was an experience to say the least. A friend and I are in town on vacation and decided to get our nails done. We arrived at the salon and spoke to the ladies sitting outside the salon and received no response. Upon entering the salon we were asked what services we wanted. To that we replied two gel pedicures, gel manicure and UV gel full set. The ladies discussed it amongst themselves for a moment then told us that they didn't do gel despite having gel services listed on their wall and the gel polish and dryers in clear view. We were walk-ins, didn't have to wait long. Lots of people in there around 6:45. I noticed the very low prices. The pedicure was good, excellent foot massage from the girl with the purple and green hair. Her hands are very strong and me feet felt refreshed afterwards. Old nail polish not completely removed and I had to ask to have it taken off completely. So-so job of painting. But I'm not mad; it's a $10 manicure! After I stepped on the floor to pick up my shoes I need tissues to wipe grime from the soles of my feet, so there's that . . . . It was the end of their day and everyone was tired and I can't blame them. The staff are very nice people and work really hard and overall it's worth the money. read more

I've been going through a serious pedicure phase as of late. The problem with this is that I'm too cheap to go to one of those fancy spas on any kind of regular basis... hence my venturing into the sketchy looking but enticingly cheap Diamond Nails. YAY! I know, I know. I have seen those news stories on these kinds of places... the kind where they interview women who've developed mysterious rashes or blood infections and have been scarred for life after getting unsanitary pedicures... but bravely, I pressed on (my feet were in desperate need of attention!). Before my friend Kira and I even sat down, I was happy to see that the owner/manager of the salon immediately cleaned out/sanitized the foot baths as soon as a customer got out of the chair (I know, that doesn't mean that the rest of the equipment is properly sanitized, but I chose to believe it was.). Speaking of the chair... they have lovely massage chairs all lined up on two walls. Maybe ten or twelve of them total... not sure, since I was too busy playing with the controls on mine to pay that much attention. The pedicure was pretty straight forward/no nonsense, and I was feeling rather pleased with myself, but then... unanticipated magic!!! One of the best foot massages I've ever had! These ladies are good. Normally, I'm a bit ticklish, but this just felt so wonderful! I want to go every weekend! I wound up getting a French Pedicure which was an additional three dollars on top of the fifteen for a standard polish job. Not the best paint job, but not the worst by any means. Perfectly acceptable actually.... unless someone's going to be inspecting your toes closely (not a problem I currently face). I give Diamond Nails four stars for the satisfaction to cost ratio(you can't really beat $15 for a pedi)... hell, the foot/leg massage alone was worth it! Plus, I've discovered that this is an excellent place to eavesdrop on some fascinating/disturbing conversations.... the things girls talk about. Shocking!!! Good times! What an absolute waste of my time. I came in today for a simple mani and pedi with a french tip. Everything went well until they went to put the polish on. My toes came out great, but my nails were sloppy, the polish was chunky and terribly done. I got a french tip, and the tip was uneven and chunky. I asked the woman doing my nails several times to fix it, and every time she attempted it just got worse! Then, when I stood at the front desk wanting to talk to someone, the staff looked my way and ignored me. Mind you, I was the only customer in the shop. I tried to be as polite as possible throughout this whole process, and I ended up wasting $40 and my time. I usually go to Golden Nails Spa next door, and I wished that I had saved my money and just gone to Golden Nails tomorrow. Terrible customer service, and a terrible job. Instead of making a scene, I just decided to go home and try to fix it myself. Never again. Update: I called this morning and spoke to the manager. She said that they could not give me a refund, but I could come in and get them fixed. I told her that if they couldn't do it right the first time after I continuously pointed out what was wrong, why would I waste my time going back? I insisted on being given a refund, but they still refused. Only one day after receiving my french manicure, and all the polish has nearly chipped off of my nails! One day!! I love it at Diamond Nails! Yes, when it comes to getting things done for me I'm cheap, cheap, cheap! At Diamond Nails I can get a manicure and pedicure with $5 tip per service for $35. Most other places list a pedicure alone for that much. Besides being cheap, I'm also picky. I would never go somewhere not clean or with bad service. I see them clean the foot baths every time. I've only ever seen sanitized tools, the polish selection is good (and OPI) and the women give a nice massage as part of the mani/pedi. I'm also an expert at ruining my manicure before I walk out the door. This happens no matter where I go so I know it is me and not the place. At Diamond the ladies are always really nice about fixing it for me, making sure my shoes and purse get carried over to the drying station and providing me with disposable flip flops when I forget my own. Yes, sometimes the women speak in another language to each other. However, I'm not really there to have a conversation with a stranger. I'd rather relax, sink in to the massage chairs and read than make small talk. If they want to talk to their friends while rubbing my feet, who am I to judge...they're rubbing my feet, why do I care about anything else? I'll also say that I read all of the reviews here out of curiosity and to the woman who complained about her $400 shoes and $550 blouse getting ruined I have to say that if you're wearing over a grand in clothing (and I trust you don't have k-mart undies on so I'm adding some to your listed clothing costs) maybe you should go somewhere that charges a little bit more and can recognize the value of your snotty clothes...leave the more inexpensive salon chairs open to those of us who can appreciate them. read more

I'm a pedi snob. Was turned on to Diamond Nails from a fellow pedi snob who's lived in Seattle considerably longer, and I've been thrilled since day one. Clarity: I'm a snob for an amazing, long-lasting pedi that's cheap $$. Any fool can go get an awesome expensive pedi. Not this fool, no thank you! So friendly, so accommodating. Super fast when you need them to be, but they still do a great job. Lots of OPI colors, continually refreshing the selection. Don't believe the haters. This is the place to get your toes did on LQA. And yes, they're clean. I don't give their cleanliness a second thought. Bonus: you can opt for a super long foot/calf,ankle massage for a few extra bucks. No brainer, right? Right. Wow! I don't understand all the negative press, everyone I know goes to Diamond nails and loves it, I have even seen Sonics there several times. We'll miss you sonics! The girls are sweet, the massage is wonderful, I fall asleep in the chair! Lyn (owner) is such a sweetheart. I take my hubby and kids there. They do cute flowers on my daughters toes and she loves it. Don't wear expensive clothes to a cheap nail shop, we know they use cheap lotion that's why they don't rake in the $75 that spas do ladies. Dress appropriately (jeans or sweats and flip flops) and go do your girly thing. I'm sure not every person who works there is super but don't you always have to find out who your favorite is? Let's be realistic, these ladies are digging out your toes for you, they may not appreicate the couture blouse. read more

This was the absolute WORST nail experience I've had, and all because I walked into the wrong nail salon. I'm new to the area and still learning my way around. I looked up nails salons today on Yelp only to find a very reputable one that had 4 ratings. Unfortunately, Golden Nails and this terrible establishment are on the same street. I didn't pay attention to the name when I walked into this crappy joint, but I should've known it wasn't the other salon when everyone seemed clueless about my appointment. After chalking up the confusion about my appointment to miscommunication, I proceeded to select my nail polishes. While I was doing that a part of three came in for pedicures. The salon decided to move me to the other side even though my chair had already been prepped for me with water and a nail tech. I was shocked and annoyed that the salon decided to move me even though there were several other seats that were open and available. My pedicure experience was so lackluster and unprofessional. The nail tech who attended to me didn't care about my concerns when it came to the temperature of the water (cold), the fact that she was hurting me when cutting my cuticles, or dripping acetone all over my clothes when removing my shellac. My toes are still throbbing from her cuticle removal technique and the paint job was sloppy. My manicure was not bad, but I've had much better. The woman who did my pedicure talked very poorly about me to her coworkers. She tried to keep my money when I asked for change, and had the nerve to be pissy about the tip I gave her. There was no customer service and her attitude was so distasteful. Needless to say, I would never come back to this place and you should avoid it at all costs!!! ***I don't think they sanitize anything in there. I didn't see them clean the bowls between customers which has me praying that I don't catch any fungus. read more

There are so many people working there, it's almost impossible to tell what your experience will be like. Some of them are good, some of them are bad. Most of them are unremarkable. Actually, alot about this place is unremarkable: prices are average, service is average, atmosphere is average. Color selection is just OK, they could benefit from adding some variety. My acrylics last 2 weeks- no more, no less. Fills are usually pretty thin around the edges and start to lift off after a week or week and a half. BUT, I have never, ever had to wait, even on a Friday afternoon during tourist season. The point of the story is that this place will do in a pinch: If you're in a hurry, don't have an appointment, and your feet/hands are so ugly they make grown men cry. Very questionable service. I came in, said hello, and asked how much it was to have gel acrylics removed, and the coworkers spoke to each other as if to haggle the price. I was told it would be $15 to remove my acrylics. The services pricing on the wall listed $10. When I asked how much it would be to remove the acrylics and have regular polish on my nails, they appeared to discuss the request again and come back with $15. I won't be back here again. We may not speak the same language, but I can tell when people are talking around me and raising prices on a questionable basis. read more

It really depends on which employee works with you, but my experience happened to be a bad one. The first two fingers the lady worked on bled pretty badly because she did them with haste. I went here on a whim because it was cheap but you get what you pay for. My shellac mani was uneven and thick in places. You could see how bulbous it was just by looking at it so I have no idea how it was missed. Also, the clear top coat was hanging over onto the edges of my skin on four fingers. I had to ask for each one to be filed or clipped down to not be on my skin. After I left I realized there was yet another finger with shellac on the skin (which can't be simply peeled off.) Lastly, after 2 weeks I went to my normal salon and asked them to remove it. They told me Diamond's shellac was so bad for my nails and so hard to get off-they had to use a dremel drill to get it off which has never happened to me. They instructed me to give my nails a break because this mani had wrecked my nails. I'll never cheat on my regular nail place again! read more

Hands down the best nail salon in Seattle... for the price, and quality! $15 for a 45 minute pedicure, with an amazing foot and leg rub, is the best! My pedicures last at least 3 weeks every time I go, and you never have to wait more than a few minutes (if at all). I've gone to Diamond for the past 10 years or so, and it is seriously the best place - I won't go anywhere else! Now that I'm living in Florida I have yet to find somewhere at this price and quality level, even though I have been trying (it's a tough job, but someone's gotta do it!). The ONLY down sides to Diamond Nails are that the ambience might be a bit lacking, and parking can often be a nightmare. But try to find somewhere with better prices, better service, and a better leg rub... I dare you! Went here with a coworker on my lunch break last week for a manicure. Came in around noon on a Wednesday and there was no wait, which was nice. Had a good selection of colors to choose from. I would probably give this place at least one star less if it weren't for the fact that my $10 manicure lasted as long as it did. I'm on day 5 and there's barely any chipping. Still looks decent enough to wear to work (and I picked a bright color). This was a regular, not gel, manicure. My home manicures never last this long. I was definitely impressed. My coworker said the same thing about hers. On the downside, the customer service is pretty much non-existent. During the "massage" the woman pounded on my forearms as if she were taking out her aggressions from the morning. She looked at me as if I were crazy when I asked her to cut my nails (which were already short), and she cut them very close and with force, which kinda freaked me out. The water they gave me to soak my nails in was cold. Those are little sorts of things that show they cut corners. But in the end, my manicure turned out amazing and really lasted! I will be returning again soon for my next inexpensive manicure at this non-flashy and quick salon. read more

There are a lot of great color options whether you are looking for shellac or regular polish. The staff always does a great job, are friendly, and really ensure they do a good job.
