There are several covered picnic areas and lots of trash/recycling bins. There's a sledding hill and a stadium as well. The grounds were well maintained: clean, grass and plants cared for. Truly is a wonderful sensory experience. From what I can tell it's created solely on donations and there is currently a new section being built! This playground has a few different play areas surrounded by beds of flowers. There's a musical area with different pipes and things and a large tree house with a big slide as well! I appreciate the covered area with picnic tables and benches. It's a great spot to pause for some lunch (which I saw many families doing). There are walking trails that have stretching/exercise stations along the way. My kids got a kick out of finding those. If you have little ones in tow this is definitely a spot in Lisle that is worth checking out!
