I didn't even realize they had a store until we were at a Thorns game and walked past it! Needless to say, I have quite a wardrobe from there. I was originally obsessed with the P hats because they were plain, yet epic and cool. Classic. But most weren't VEGAN!! I can't do wool, never have been able to because I ITCH!!! But then they have brought so many great hats that are NOT wool and so gorgeous and well, I look GOOD in hats. Beanies and baseball hats. Bring it. I have SO many Portland Gear hats. I think I've got 4 beanies and 7 or 8 baseball hats. I have one zip UP hoodie, three over the head hoodies lol and two tshirts. And I DO have the cream colored backpack for my work stuff. I LOVE this bag. I had gotten it for my daughter back in June 2024 as a birthday gift because she needed a sturdy backpack for middle school where she has NO locker lol The other thing I'm totally obsessed with is their Portland Stag and Portland Sign..I have both and man they're gorgeous. I had issues with the plug/remote with both and went into the store and it was taken care of in minutes at no cost to me!! Customer Service, selection and value are all tops. So, what makes Michelle great at her job and stand out above the rest, she is a creative problem solver. She didn't just point me in the direction of the insoles, which there is a small wall full. The insoles were not cushiony, I really thought it was going to be a bust before Michelle came to save the day. I didn't need hard supportive insoles, I needed as she put it, to take up space. This also added cushion, which is what I wanted. I should add she remembered both my wife and I, and my wife's very unique shoes.... That's impressive. My shoes felt great and no longer slipped in the back. I will come back for any issues with fit, only because of Michelle. I called this past Friday and Saturday with a very specific issue regarding a discontinued New Balance style I was hoping to find. Isak was gracious, friendly, and his knowledge of shoes is clearly extensive. When we realized the style was discontinued, he didn't stop there--he went the extra mile to check the main warehouse for any remaining stock. Although they were unavailable, Isak spent a significant amount of time discussing numerous comparable alternatives with me. What impressed me most was that even when it became clear I wouldn't be making a purchase that day, Isak remained incredibly kind and patient. Additionally, Isak suggested contacting their flagship store, Gimre's, which is right in my hometown of Astoria, saving me the long trip from the coast to Tigard. They had a decent selection of everything I needed on this particular trip and their prices weren't inflated compared to what I was able to find online.

I received an automated e-mail right away confirming the order, and it advised that I'd get another e-mail when my order was ready for pickup. Well, after three days of no updates, and my order status showing as "processing", I called the Portland store to get an update. The person I spoke with said the order was ready for pickup, and had been. He also apologized for the "miscommunication". When I stopped in to pick them up, the employee fetched them for me, and confirmed what was in the bag. All told, I was in and out in probably three minutes. The employee was prompt, but not notably friendly. The store itself is pretty large, and appears to have a good selection. There's also a running track inside that allows shoppers to try running shoes and give them a good workout. This is probably the reason that the shoes I picked up weren't exactly in brand-new condition. The soles were visibly dirty, there was a fair amount of debris on the sides, and there were more than a few hairs in the box. This was very disappointing, and I probably should have checked their condition while I was still in the store instead of waiting until I got home. Parking is TERRIBLE...it's all street parking, and the area is extremely busy. This store also serves beer, which seems like an extremely bizarre thing.
