When I went to the location at Mall of America, it didn't seem like they have alternative milk. The employees at the MOA where to themselves. I'm lactose intolerant. This guy at Eat Street Crossing asked if I had any questions, which I ask if the drinks can be made with almond or soymilk, he said yes and just to let him know which drink. I ordered the tiger creme brulee drink and it was delicious. He did let me know there was some dairy, which I can tolerate, but that experience made a difference, because I'd probably walk away if he didn't check in.

Heavenly! I also got the opportunity to meet Angie Lee, the founder of Moona Moono! I told her how much I LOVED her shop and how much Minneapolis needed a shop like this. Angie appreciated my feedback and she told me the backstory to the name of the store! The name "Moona Moono" is a rough translation of two Korean words meaning "culture octopus," representing the various "tentacles" or facets of the Asian American experience. How COOL is that? Be prepared for an amazing drink and cute ambiance, the workers are always very kind as well! I like the matcha, but could've used more sweetener in mine! Overall, you can tell it's the good quality matcha, and included real strawberry pieces! I also love this neighborhood-it has Magers and Quinn right next door:)
