It's been years sense I been to Niko's and I thought I had written a previous review. But here we go. I initially came to see if they still carried the dessert wine I bought sometime ago. And they did, but from a different winery. It's was wine that's aged in a cognac barrel. And you guys it was so good. However, they do have dessert wine but from a different vineyard. My first picture was taken with the gentleman that's no longer there. But today I received the same great customer service from the lady that's currently there. She allowed me to taste a few wines. And introduced me to the new vineyard of the dessert wine I was looking for. But, unfortunately they don't have the same brand I bought before. I did end up buying the new dessert wine. And I was allowed to try it. And It was good. Niko's host wine tasting every Thursday's. The space is nice, cozy and you can experience and taste some great wines. Stop by if your in there area and maybe come on a Thursday and meet some other wine lovers. Like myself I'm new to wines. I have to enhance my palate more. read more

My girlfriends and I enjoyed the holiday wine and gingerbread workshop at Nikko's wine corner. We enjoyed sipping wine while decorating gingerbread houses. The service was amazing and they refilled one of our favorite moscatos. The shop is well stocked, clean, and cozy. read more

We used to go here all the time and it was amazing! The vibe was chill and Niko was always so helpful. I don't know if we went on a weird night, but there were different people working and there was a lady working on her laptop at the tables where we brought our charcuterie board and wine to sit and chill. She worked there and she didn't bother us but it definitely killed the vibe. The tables that used to be private and separated were pushed together like we were awaiting a family to join us for dinner, while the TV played a mullet competition in the background Overall wine is great still but the vibe is odd and off. read more

Highly recommend the Friday 1/2 off wine bar happy hour. There are some really good wines available, and you can really get a lot of value out of it. The wine shop is very cute, but the chairs and tables and a little uncomfortable & wobbly. It was hard to get comfortable to sit to enjoy the wine bar, but we were able to have fun all the same. The staff was very friendly as well in explaining how the machines worked. I will return! read more

THIS PLACE IS A HIDDEN GEM!!!! For starters, upon arrival I was expecting for this to just be another liquor store... However, it's soooo much more! The owner Regina is such a breath of fresh air and she's so hospitable that you can tell from the groups of people who constantly visit on a weekly basis. You can definitely just come to the shop to purchase your wine but they also offer memberships, classes, tastings, and special days every week. On Thursday's you can come for wine tasting. You'd pay an affordable price to taste 5-6 wines. They're always different and you'd have someone walking you through the information of the wine as well as answering any questions you may have. You can even bring your own food and just chill here. The vibe is low-key and you'll even start to meet the regulars who come religiously! Then on every 3rd Friday of the month they also offer food and wine pairing. I attended this event for the first time in June and we didn't just have some basic food. We ate a good steak with veggies, potatoes and bread. We tried several wines and played games guessing the wines with the knowledge we'd picked up from the class and it was just a beautiful, laid back event to attend. All in all, I would highly recommend making the drive. It's black owned, filled with love and learning, and just a great community if you're looking for a more grown and chill group of people to get connected with. This is a cute wine shop. They have some wines available by the pour, as well as regular wine bottles. In addition to a carefully curated wine selection, they can also order wines they don't carry. They have a wide selection of wines. The store has wine tastings every Thursday night. A visiting wine rep does samples of their wines. The wine tasting is usually an hour, one at 5 and another at 6. This was the most unorganized "wine tasting" I've ever been to. There was little to no space in the place , there was no clear instructions on what to do or what type of wines we could sample just a quick "head to the guy in the back he'll tell you everything"! Once we squeezed and fought through the crowd of people in the middle , there was a guy that was very uninterested. He knew nothing about the wines , he would say the name and who made it , if it was sweet or dry .. that's it. We were supposed to try a total of 8 wines and we left after 3 because it was just all over the place ! I don't recommend, if I could give them 0stars I would ! read more

I had a wonderful experience at Niko's and am looking forward to the next time I'm visiting my sister so I can stop in again! Niko's Wine Corner is a gem. My sister and I were in charge of provisioning vino for our Thanksgiving dinner. Niko's is just down the road from her and she had never been in. What a shame! As soon as we walked into this unassuming shop, we were hit with the wonderful sight of tons of wine bottles lining the walls. And what's better? Not just one wine dispenser machine, but THREE! Woohoo! We didn't partake in the wine dispenser this time, but definitely plan to partake on our next visit. The selection of wines available for tasting were mostly reds (my favorite) but there was a wide range of pricing. It is a great opportunity to try a taste of an expensive bottle before committing to purchasing. Very cool! We started browsing and Niko approached us to ask if we needed help finding something. We were honestly just taking it all in because his selection was excellent - a lot of familiar labels and a lot of new ones! Where to start? Niko asked what we typically drink and was able to make recommendations. My favorite "everyday" blend is the Bogle Phantom and he recommended The Pessimist and it was awesome! His recommendation was spot on. I told him I also enjoy a Napa cab and he introduced me to The Cult and now it's all I can think about! Niko's expertise was much appreciated. He's got a degree in chemistry and a passion for wine, which turns out to be a beautiful blend! Don't worry, beer drinkers! It's not all about the grapes. Niko also has a great selection of beers in the back of the store. Lots of local favorites as well as the popular craft beer selections. A couple of noteable brands were Southern Tier, Monday Night, Creature Comforts, Founders and Bell's. I came here with my parents today and I got to say the food here is delicious! The staff is also very friendly and is very quick. The food took no less that 30 minutes on a non busy day but I don't know how fast they are on a busy day. I will recommend this place. I ordered the chicken Parmesan and it was well done and very good. My parents ordered a chicken Alfredo and a Chicken & shrimp Carbonara and they really liked it. We got the toasted ravioli as a appetizer and it was really good too. 10/10 would recommend! read more

I hosted my Wine Meetup group here for the First time on a Friday night. Even though I reserved the tables, there were people sitting there. However, the owner was really gracious enough to free up tables for us. We all ended up having a really great time. The wine tasting is good and not pricey. There is a great selection. Speaking of price, Niko offers some of the best at great prices. If you buy a few bottles, he will give you additional discounts. Buy a case and get a very good price. WARNING: I'm gonna be a giant pretentious obnoxious ITP Decatur snot with my nose all turned up in the air the better to smell my own farts with, and I want to apologize in advance to anyone OTP who gets their feelings hurt because I said mean things about the suburbs: We stopped here entirely on a whim - it's tucked away in the corner of a shopping center on a major six lane thoroughfare, surrounded by Wal-Marts and Targets and all the other detritus of suburban America. Niko, the owner, really knows his stuff - I'm no wine expert, but the racks were nicely stocked with a variety of interesting options. That being said, I know a bit about beer, and I was pretty impressed. Tons of Belgians, and some stuff for the serious microbrew enthusiast; the only macrobrews they even carry are some of Michelob's craft product (and Sam Adams seasonals/specials if you're really tooky about definitions) - no Bud Light or Coors to be seen here (to wit, when I mentioned it, they laughed and told me that a handful of people had come in wanting to know where "the real beer" was. Those people were, obviously, morons.) Five stars for an oasis of great in the middle of suburban nightmare sprawl. If you're on the east side OTP, this is the place to be. read more

Free wine tasting every Thursday!!! What more do I need to say? This gem is hidden off to the side on 124 in the heart of snellville. The selection for wine is fantastic. Even if you can't make the Thursday tastings you can drop in any time the store is open and use the tasting machines to have your own tasting for a small fee. I was also impressed by the fact that you can bring your own food and sit and eat while you sample wines. What a great place and Niko was extremely helpful and friendly with our wine purchase; he listened to what we where wanting in a wine and price range, whisked off without a doubt as to his suggestions and proffered varying degrees of wines for our choosing. You will not be disappointed. To me, the best thing about Niko's is the proprietor, Niko. He is such an incredibly nice, soft-spoken, pleasant person. Even if he didn't know diddly-squat about wine and beer, I would likely come here.... just because I like seeing nice guys get ahead :) However, as it turns out, Niko knows TONS about what he sells, and he is just as happy to recommend a low-priced, quality wine in his shop as he is direct you to a high-end product (if that's what you want). Horrible customer service. Horrible. I walked in on a very slow afternoon (slow as in NO ONE was in the store.) I came in to purchase one item. The cashier was on his cell phone. Not once did he even look up as I walked in. Two individuals sitting on the tables had to get his attention after about two minutes. He still did not greet me, ask if I need any help, or acknowledge that a customer was even in the store. He stayed on his cell phone. Even as I got to the counter to check out...you guessed it, STILL on his cell phone. I mean, I guess I can be grateful for the 3.865738 seconds he put his phone down to ring my purchase into the register. Immediately after, not even before I got my change...this person is, wait...you guessed it, back on his cell phone. No thank you, nothing. Just tossed my change in my direction and went back to whatever was so very captivating on his electronic device. As a new business owner to the area (and extremely close to the store) I would have hoped that this would be a great place to stop because of it's very convenient location. You can guarantee that I will never be stopping by here again. Ever. Sad, too, because word of mouth is a HUGE advertising advantage. You just lost a great (and free!) networking opportunity because of your piss poor customer service. read more

Not only did he have the natural wine I was looking for (It's a Sicilian red and I typically have to order it online) but he showed me a natural rose and another red that was very similar and tastes amazing. My only regret is I have not yet made it to a Thursday wine tasting. So far, I have picked up a new favorite Pinot Gris on three occasions. Each visit has been pleasant and friendly.
