Beer Run! This time we were looking for a place that we had not been before. We did a quick internet search and found this place. When I saw a picture online I didn't really have high expectations, but when we walked in, I was pleasantly surprised. We walked to the back of the store and pretty much the whole back wall was packed with beer of every possible beer style. This place was great and we found some really good choices. Most of the employees are professional but there are atleast 4 who give racists vibes. I experienced it first hand. When I'm entered I don't want to hear a group of white men standing around talking about dark chocolate is bad for you as opposed to hello. Furthermore, research has proven that dark chocolate has antioxidant properties. So I find it hard to believe that this employee was talking about a new drink as the manger tried to tell me when I attempted to make an incident report. I'm thankful it happened coz its my wake-up call from on high to stop drinking. Thank Heavenly Father. read more

I was told about this store from a friend of mine that shops here all the time and said they have some good bourbons, etc and that I should definitely check out the place. I called today to see if they had any Blanton's left (as my friend told me that had some in stock). The employee that answered the phone said "No we don't have any Blanton's" in an incredibly sarcastic and aggressive tone then barked that they close in 10 minutes and hung up on me. I do want to remind this individual that you in fact WORK IN A BOTTLE SHOP where people come to buy booze, which includes some bourbons that can sometimes be hard to find. I understand that (1) there are probably a lot of people asking for Blantons, Weller, etc, and (2) working in a liquor store is probably not your dream job so things may not be going great for you; however, this is absolutely no excuse to be rude to customers and/or potential customers. I WILL NEVER SHOP HERE AND WOULD ADVISE ANYONE ELSE AGAINST GOING TO THIS PLACE. There are much better bottle shops in Loganville with a much more pleasant staff. read more

Last time I was in town to visit the fam I found this spot and instantly became a fan. Excellent selection of local and international craft beer. Very clutch considering you can't find a lot of bottle shops in Stone Mountain. To my surprise they even had Bourbon County Stout the day of release! Sadly, they only allowed one bottle per person :( I'm sure that's more of a distributor issue soooo....still a dope go-to spot! read more

This place has really come a long way. I remember my parents coming here from Snellville to buy liquor in the 80's/early 90's. Snellville didn't and I think still doesn't have a liquor store, so you had to come here to buy booze. This is an old school liquor store that has updated their game. I come here to buy booze for company events (liquor, kegs, craft beer, etc.), but if you live out here, this should be your go to spot. In the last year or so, they have started stocking a large assortment of American and Belgian craft beers and even though I live closer to downtown Atlanta, this place has a great selection of beers that rivals some other popular bottle stores. Most of what's hot in craft beers and new breweries to Georgia are stocked. These guys took a gamble with this for this area, and I think it's going to pay off. Good pricing and selection. Want a keg? They have you covered with the basics and they can order just about anything that Georgia distributors carry. They have a good wine selection and they carry alot of the small batch liquors. Customer service here is awesome and they have a very knowledgeable manager. Great local business that has become a landmark for the Smokerise area. Want to sample some good craft beers and get your usual brew? This is the spot. Keep up the good work guys. read more

This WAS a great shop. For the past year the pricing has been consistent with the area! Recently the "beer guy" has priced some bottles in questionable fashion. They have indicated prairie bomb as prairie "barrel aged bomb" which is entirely a different beer with an added price premium. I noted this to the "beer guy" and he affirmed the pricing. He seemed to not know the difference between the two beers. It's inaccurate and you are not getting what you pay for that beer. The spirit pricing for the area is better than the area.. read more

Have been a customer of Smoke Rise Bottle Shop for many years. Usually employees there are friendly except for Yesterday Friday 5/15/15. One particular employee was extremely rude when I asked a very simple question. I gave him no reason to be rude to me he just chose to do so. So I have chosen not to shop there for a while if ever again. I am not going to spend my money in a place that treats there customers this way. Update 5/21/15- Greg Wilson the owner of smoke rise bottle took time out of his busy day to apologize for the poor customer service I had received. As liquor stores go this place is "ok". Their prices are definitely higher than stores a few miles away in Lilburn or Tucker but their selection is somewhat better. I go here or to Tower for the hard to find items for the bar stock but for every day drinks you can definitely save some $$ by shopping around. read more

Love their wines, something for every type of food and budget, and they have every craft beer that you could possibly want! If you can't find it there, they will order it for you. Clean, well organized store. Great selection,, especially if you are into bourbon, tequila, and craft beers. They have a special section where you can build your own six pack of the latest craft beers or just buy that one you want to try. The wine selection is also very good considering this is not a huge warehouse type store. The employees I encountered were knowledgeable and helpful.
