When I finally did see an eye doctor her first thing was you was fitted improperly and we can refit you with a proper pair.. even told me my contacts was under warranty. The front desk staff were rude, dismissive, and showed zero compassion toward patients. What made it worse was the blatant racism. Staff members were visibly unwelcoming toward Asian and Muslim patients, and I personally witnessed them mocking ethnic names -- laughing among themselves in a way that was humiliating and completely unprofessional. This is a medical office, not a place where patients should have to tolerate discrimination. On top of that, their appointment policy is absurd. If you are even five minutes late -- despite traffic, parking, or any other reasonable circumstance -- they will cancel your appointment on the spot and move on without any grace or understanding. No call, no warning, no flexibility whatsoever. This place is not a welcoming environment. The behavior of the staff is harassing, disrespectful, and frankly unacceptable for any business -- let alone a healthcare provider. My wife was on her last pair of contacts and called to schedule an appointment - first one available is 2 1/2 months out. She called back again to see if she could buy a box to hold her over to the appointment and the new people told us they would not do that without giving her a checkup first. Her prescription is "-6" in each eye, so I guess that they just want her to live blind for the next 2 1/2 months. Well, the new practice under Dr. Johnson has just lost one of their longest term customers. I am happy for Dr. Bailey in his retirement but we already miss him. This is too bad, honestly, because it's a place absolutely dedicated to the best possible experience and the best possible fit for you and your eyes. They're very flexible and very familial, and dedicated to up-to-date technology and hand-crafted accuracy. I've never been upsold on anything, unlike larger commercial places, but I've never been sold anything that felt like a compromise either. It is a testament to the skill and warmth of Doctors Lindsay and Kurt Jung that I have not suffered the least hiccough or disappointment from the transition when he retired.
