Always looking for that different kinda place that might wow me. I found this little hole in the wall thanks to yelp. It is quaint with a nice ambiance with soft background music and a giant screen tv ocean view looking out to the French Riviera. I got there before noon on a regular Thursday. I was greeted by Clout and another pleasant lady (I didn't get her name) Clout was my server he is very friendly and attentive. I ordered regular coffee, kahlua and cream, and a Bright Crepe that had ham, tomatoes, brie and pesto, all very good. I even ordered two more dessert crepes to go, both were delicious. Overall a great experience. Next time I will need to bring my family for brunch or come back on Kareoke night on Fridays. Big shout out to Clout!! read more

I love trying new places, we came from the gym really looking forward to a good salad. We ordered the chicken salad, the grilled chicken was soooo dry. We also tried vegetarian pasta, very underwhelming, the veggies were way too soggy. The service was friendly, we were there during a shift change, so they weren't terribly attentive. My husband and I are from out of town and this place was not far from our hotel and we're always looking for non chain restaurants to try. We found this one and thought we'd try it out. First impression was service was great. We were approached and seated immediately and got taken care of right away. Our server we think his name is cloud. He was awesome, great personality and service. Definitely made us comfortable. The next day after check out we wanted to go back one more time before heading on the road and got the same experience and service. Everyone is super nice and on top of their tables, food was incredible hands down. Everything was absolutely delicious and presentable on the plate. The French toast was not too sweet which was great because too much sweet can leave a bitter taste. The shrimp omelet was tasty and very well seasoned. The healthy breakfast was perfection. Been coming to Nina's for a while now, from the location in Huntington Park. Food and service is great. Recently they have added live music for Sunday brunch and I personally would rather not have it. Too loud and can't even hear staff when taking order or even speak to the people you are with . Family outings are not happening too often due to covid and family lives out of state, so sad that we came here on last day and couldn't even talk. Maybe music would be okay if at night, bar setting. Or just lower down the music. With covid, the last thing you want is staff in your face because they can't hear you. I've been there 3 times, the first time the attention, food and service was ok, so my wife and me went back, that second time we were there it took over 30 minutes to get our food to the table, the third time today, it was over 45 minutes and our food wasn't ready so we step out and went to other restaurant called Tequila and in less than 10 minutes we were enjoying our food already. I have been coming to the Bell location for already two years since the one on Gage unfortunately closed down. I cannot stress this enough when I say Ninas café has to be one of my top 10 restaurants whenever I want to go out and grab a bite. Not only is the service always amazing, the Chef will personally come out and greet his guests whenever he has time. The small gesture for me makes me feel welcomed and appreciated as a customer. The hospitality is on a another lever making the food even more amazing! In my opinion there isn't a single bad menu item, I've had the pleasure of tasting almost every dish. Personally presentation is everything and Nina's Cafe delivers in that aspect. My top favorite dishes have to be The Chicken Dijon, Half BBQ Ribs, Rib Eye Steak, Chicken Madeira, Italian Omelet, and the Chicken Alfredo Pasta. I do recommend however, going in for lunch and dinner since the plates are on the bigger side. read more

It sucks when Yelp allows you to make a reservation and o ce you show up at the pl is closed and on top of that there's this person who comes to the door and starts arguing that they're not using Yelp when that's where I made my reservation. I'd always wanted to go to Nina's Cafe in HP but I never got the chance to! Luckily this cafe opened up 2 blocks away from my house and I just had to go the day after my birthday. I was so amazed with the quality of their delicious food and how affordable it was, I had to go back to show the rest of my family why I kept going on about Nina's! CHECK/ YOUR RECEIPT BEFORE THEY CHARGE YOUR CARD!!!!.I cannot emphasize this enough because they tell you how much it is but dont offer a receipt till after they charge your card. Went with my family for lunch. We had ordered 2 steaks and a beer and minutes later we were told by the waiter that they were out of steaks and the specific beer. Cool! We ordered something else. Fastfoward when it was time t o pay. They only provided us with the amount. My bf, trusting the waiter, handed him his card and charged him. We later get the receipt and noticed that we were charged for 2 steaks and a beer we did not receive. Why would you charge us for something you dont even have/or can offer at the moment?!!! They should have removed the items the minute they told us they werent available. We ended up waiting over 40 minutes to be told by the manager and the owner that we could not get our money back (the difference). In addition, we were told we were going to get back our money 6 business days and its been past that time. For me, charging me for items that are not available and the time its taking to get my money back is ridiculous. I cannot emphasize the importance of asking for an invoice or checking to see what your paying for. Be warned! read more
