I had a very disappointing experience at this lounge. I came to enjoy the night like everyone else, but the DJ clearly took issue with me because I wasn't enjoying her music. I wasn't being disruptive or disrespectful , I simply wasn't vibing with the set. From what I could see, I wasn't the only one who wasn't feeling the music either. Instead of handling things professionally, the situation escalated for no reason. The manager ended up asking me to leave, even though I had done absolutely nothing wrong. I wasn't causing a scene, bothering anyone, or breaking any rules. It felt personal and unnecessary. Guests should be able to enjoy (or not enjoy) music without being targeted or removed. Last night was my second time visiting the Glen and I had an overall good experience. I actually really like this dive bar as the vibe is super chill and they host karaoke nights. I was surprised to see that Stewart & Grab was within the same plaza and also collaborates with the bar. They have QR codes in which you can order from the restaurant but unfortunately for me though they were closed last night lol. I'm definitely looking forward to ordering food from Stewart & Grub on the next visit! When we arrived it was pretty poppin' for a Sunday night. We couldn't find a table so we settled for the bar top. I had a draft pint of Ultra and it was pretty warm, besides that no complaints regarding the drinks. All was great and after a few brews I eventually mustered up the courage to sing karaoke. I honestly had a blast lol. Unfortunately some guys started bothering me but the security was quick to handle the situation which I appreciated. This was a cool place. I had my reservation about it from the outside pulling up cause it is in a small strip of small businesses but once you're inside the aesthetics were cool, pool tables, music and good seating for a big group like I had with me. Excited this place is so close to my parent's house. Stopped by for a quick drink and a few games of pool. Kim, the bartender was really nice and definitely someone I would randomly come visit. Like that I can order food from next door and bring it in. Okay, I know this is a weird thing to like about this place, but when I went to the restroom, I like that they had a rail where I can put my phone or drink. As a woman, I always have to figure out where to put my phone down. I also worry about leaving my drink unattended. Thought that was brilliant and more bars should do the same. I went to the glen last night with my friends and this is my first review about this establishment, The bartenders/staff were friendly, affordable drinks. ONLY THING is, management, your location smelled in the inside of the bar like a convalescent hospital that hasn't been cleaned. Idk if any one has complained but I left early due to the smell was very unpleasant and I couldn't continue being there last night since the odor was so pungent. I drive all the way from Rancho Cucamonga to enjoy drinks and catch up with friends. A big part of what makes this place special is our favorite bartender, Gadget--she always makes us feel welcome and even knows us all by name. We showed up mid day on Sunday but they had the game on and they played music for about 10 min during half time but then put the game on and the volume was extremely high. I would say The Glen is a hit or miss, Fridays and weekends after Dodger games it gets pretty packed and they play decent music. The only problem I have is that space is limited inside, so if you happen to go on a busy night, you might struggle to find seating. Drinks are good and the vibes are cool too! read more

I grew up in South Gate and decided to check out this bar. Wack bar that attracts the biggest a**holes around. The men are predatory and are huge babies who can't take NO for an answer. The workers are huge dicks too. I messed up and did not close my tab. The bar ended up closing while I was outside but I did forget to close my tab. I can hear the workers in there bumping music and mingling so I knocked on the door and apologized asking if I can close my tab. The man on the other side of the door straight up said "no get it tomorrow" I apologized again and said I messed up for not closing my tab but I live TWO hours away and can't just come back. They had the audacity to laugh and kept saying no. I pleaded to them and even said I'd put a bigger tip for doing me the favor. They just kept laughing saying it's too late. I had to called Downey PD to get assistance and they came within 5 mins and got my card out with no problem. I don't get why the Glen has to be Dicks to their patrons. Horrible experience. Lame bar.
