They still welcomed us, not like other places that are visibly upset. I had to use the restroom and it was super clean, kinda TMI but I loved that they even had tampons, pads and baby wipes in there. I thought that was super sweet and thoughtful and most places don't offer. They even worked it out so we could still have breakfast even though it was super late. We had the spinach and egg sandwich and strawberry banana with peanut butter. The bread is a perfect combination of crunchy/toasted but also soft and flavorful. Everything is super fresh, from the greens, no wilting and the fruit. You can tell everything is of the highest quality. The cheese was melty and stringy! They also made a lavender latte with just a splash of coffee since it was for my daughter. The homemade syrup was so delicious! Next time I'll make sure to come earlier so we could enjoy the cute patio area and I can try the coffee, which I'm sure is amazing!! Grateful to find high quality, cafes with healthy options and wonderful service like Cruzitas!

The tofu is cooked so well with flavor. I also tried their smoothie and it was pretty solid. Overall I love that this place exists in an area where healthy, nutrious meals are hard to come by. Yes. Were they able to deliver? OMG yes! We walked in and felt like we took a portal to rural Mexico, chulada! We had a couple of iced lattes; one caramel and one horchata, and both were delicious. Were they super strong? Not really, but we weren't here to dilate our pupils with a potent caffeine fix, we were here for the customized latte foam tops! The process is simple, show up, scan a QR code and upload a photo of whatever you want on your drink. Then wait at the register and give them your number from the QR code. E.Z. P.Z! I didn't know they also offer food but they offer a variety of latino foods like chilaquiles and pupusas, mini pancakes, tortas and even VEGAN pozole and regular pozole on SAT and SUN only. We didn't try any of these because like I said, I didn't know. I'll definitely be back to try some of the food items. If you're in the area as a local and curious, or an adventurous foodie on a mission for unique places, this is the place for you! I thank the staff for excellent service and am grateful to have such a gem in East LA.

I showed up Saturday May 23rd and they were under staffed which understandably lead to short and rude responses and communication between the patrons and worker. Like I said I was very excited to finally try this place but the their lack of planning and communication up front lead to a terrible experience. For some reason they were still taking Uber Eats orders while they were obviously overwhelmed.

I had been to the one in Laguna Niguel and this one in Little Tokyo is more spacious, with an area where you can eat. I bought an oyako pork shumai, curry pan and spicy curry pan. The shumai was like dumpling filling in a bun. My faves were the curry pan, which were super flavorful and vegetarian. The spicy curry one does have a kick (great for my husband), while I prefer the regular curry as I can't handle spice. Wish I had one closer to me!

It's like a fancy filet o fish without the soggy bun, packed with amazing fried fish and tarter sauce. I'm just disappointed when they don't have this in stock, but sometimes they would make more, and that'll just be an extra wait. Downside is that I first tried the fish panini years ago and it was a bit better then, but it's still good currently. Other pastries I've tried here have been pretty good. They had some various buns with mochi inside, and those were great. Another one of my fave is their mentaiko salt bun. Great flavor, though I wish they would stuff the thing with more mentaiko. Their curry breads are good too. I took my daughter here and she got one with cute emoji drawn on, and she said the custard filling and the bread was tasty as well. I've tried some drinks here and they were alright. A friend was into their banana matcha when they have that in stock. Pretty simple layout here. Get in line and see the goods, then you reach the cashier and order and pay.

We waited in line about 5 minutes which gave me time to check out their main menu and a cute customer favorites menu. I also appreciated the art on the walls, the sticker fridge, and the bookshelf with books of all types and games. I ordered the April iced: quad shot latte, 1 pump honey, cinnamon, and oat milk. J ordered a large cold brew. The April is good, the espresso is very present but not overwhelming and I knew what to expect. The cold brew could be stronger but it tastes good.

I also like that they heat everything in a toaster oven instead of a microwave. The coffee is consistently good, and I'll definitely keep coming back. Worth checking out if you're in the area.
