Servers are horrible during the afternoon. Second time I have been there with my family and experienced horrible service from waitresses. I had to walk up to the sushi bar after waiting 20 min just to get things that the servers failed to bring us. Servers do not ask if you need anything or even acknowledge you are there unless you sit right next to the cash register. This is 2 times, my gf is not happily with this size of egg roll. I ordered our favorite sushi hand rolls and my gf's most favorite appetizer is egg roll. One egg roll was huge, it's like size of palm hand by Ninja Sushi. Yesterday, it turned out that she got her egg roll that is so smaller like this pic, today and also yesterday she got same size, smaller egg rolls. "Huge egg roll" is ripping off, your loyal customer is not very happy with your egg rolls! Not just that also, yesterday, I was not happy that you gave me and my mom "fat pencil" sushi hand rolls! Today, we got our fat hand rolls that is right of the price. Please next time never rip off your loyal customers period. I used to be a reoccurring customer but I haven't been in a few months because I've been pregnant. I went in today and it went down hill!!! The sushi chefs don't care, the waitresses are slow and rude, and the quality of food is terrible. My rolls were falling apart, my food took way too long to get (and it was not busy at all), and the shrimp roll was drowned with sauce!! I will never go back to them and I've been giving them my business for years. I will not recommend ninja sushi to anyone anymore! Update: I gave this place another chance and they were doing good for a while until recently. One of their waitresses took my to go order and I told her my step son was picking it up. She wanted to argue over a roll I always get and if it has sauce. I then agreed with her and left it alone. Well, my step son came in with my husband to get the order and he heard the waitress calling me a bitch and I was a bitch on the phone (I know she meant me because she said "her step son was picking up). I refuse to go back here and have given this place a ton of business! No more! They need to chose better staff! I was not rude to her and far from acting like a "bitch." Very unsanitary restaurant. Cooks were drinking alcohol, sweating on the food and not wearing gloves or hats. The sushi cooler was leaking water onto the bar area. The floors were filthy. The food was okay not much to chose from if your eating the buffet menu. The price is not bad but I've had more quality and more choices at different places. The imitation crab they used in their sushi was also sort of sweet for my liking. I asked if they could not put crab inside and they said they couldn't so that pretty much ended my experience because I just couldn't handle anymore of the imitation crab. I have been a long time customer of this establishment. I am extremely disappointed with my last visit. We arrived 45 minutes prior to closing time with a party of three. We were turned away and told they were no longer seating and would have to take out. I understand last minute a last minute walk in, but 45 minutes prior is just bad customer service. Example: a roll said it had salmon on the outside and it didn't have it so we asked and they said it no longer comes with it...even though it is on the freaking menu. We used to love ninja. We would go probably once a week (before covid). After they were shut down due to the pest issue we didn't go back for a while. We decided to give them another chance. We ordered through postmates (because of covid) after an hour and after confirming our order our postmate was told that they were too busy to make anymore orders for the night. I understood because I have worked at a restaurant before. We tried again today to call and make a pickup order. Their line is busy and we've been trying to call for the past hour. Second time here and the service was horrible. We arrived at the restaurant around 6:45 and were seated. We got our drinks immediately and ordered our food. I eat sushi rolls but my wife and son like the chicken teriyaki combo plates. I received the rolls about 15 minutes later. After about 45 minutes of waiting my wife and son had yet to receive their teriyaki combo plates. We waiting patiently without saying anything, After about an hour the server has the nerve to ask us if we still wanted our food. Uhhh yeah what do you think? We only waited an hour. My wife and son didn't want to wait any longer so we just said to cancel the rest. The manger comes up to us and says that the food was ready that's why she asked if we still wanted our food. I do not like leaving unfavorable reviews, especially when it wasn't the food that was terrible. My issues are with servers and questionable pricing(menu had one price on several items and white sheet of ordering items had a different slightly higher price... and when i asked the gentleman which price was correct i was told the menu. Which in end was not a true answer...and were only talking a couple of bucks here and change there but that is not the point) the place was not busy, atmosphe was not the best, dirty tables and employees just standing around. We had to wait for tables to be cleaned and when we were finally seated it took so long to be asked what we wanted to drink... again they were not busy, and with several visible employees it made no sense... we ordered 2 appetizers and 3 ice teas, given no silverware or chopsticks, napkins etc... our appetizers show up about 10 mins later at which time we orders 3 rolls and 2 bento plates. Still no silverware, napkins or even plates... after failing to get anyone's attention in a still un busy restaurant i get up and go ask for some myself. Mind you we didn't get napkins till well into our meal. Barely getting through appetizers and here comes soup ... mins later rolls start showing up, and you apparently have to ask in advance for soy sauce, ginger, wasabi... our table is packed, empty plates taking up space, and out comes the bento plates, there was not time to eat the rolls or soup... i left out that it was freezing in the restaurant so you guessed it within mins our food was ice cold, and inedible. Overall the food we were able to get to was not bad, but service was horrible... the gentleman stated he was new, and he was polite... the lady with half short half long hair had an attitude... the other two girls were nice... but no one really moved quickly and or saw that the tables were getting what they needed. The place was so small you could hear others complaining and talking about the same issues we were having. In the end our cold food was packed up and the bill reflected the white sheet pricing which we were told was not the right prices, when i simply asked and stated the gentleman told us one thing, and he was standing there while i said something, she basically told us "oh well" so needless to say there is absolutely no reason i will ever go back and i made my reports and will make it my mission to let everyone know why they should go elsewhere for Sushi. read more

Used to absolutely LOVE this restaurant until recently. Every single time I order off door dash theres items missing. Its always my miso soup, or a roll, or sauces. I called about the sides/sauces and was informed I needed to put in the directions the sauces I want due to ppl throwing away the ginger and wasabi. So I specifically put in the directions (I always ask for ginger, wasabi, and spicy mayo) and never get it along with my miso soup. This is the 5th time its happened and im now officially done. If I get it ill go pick it up and make sure its there but until then im not going back. Was such a great restaurant until recently. Manager needs to look into their employees who dont give two shits anymore but their pay. read more

Where do I begin. I was not happy at all when I came here. I was so excited that I arrived prior to them closing. Unfortunately they stop feeding people at 8:30 pm and not at 9:00 pm like the sign says. We weren't even allowed to enter. The rude girl gave us a dirty look then looked at the sushi bar cooks and the. all looked at each other confused and didn't want to serve or seat us. Well I guess they close at 8:30. I love family-owned restaurants, and the owners of this one are working behind the counter. The fish tastes fresh! It's really difficult to find a genuinely fresh sushi restaurant (and I'm saying this as a San Diego native), but the flavors here were bright and clean. I came in just after opening and there was already some tables taken! Me and my sister had three tempura rolls and everything was great. The drinks came fast and the rolls were well presented and flavorful. There was quite a long list of to-go orders but luckily the sushi chef wasn't alone and we still got our food relatively promptly. By the time we left, lunch time was in full swing and all the tables we taken! We were very impressed with this place and we're excited that it's only 5 minutes from our home. The all day happy hour certainly helps with all rolls 50% off so you won't be breaking the bank any time soon. With our three rolls and two drinks we spent only $24! This is the best sushi that I've had in the High Desert. It was pretty busy when we got there, and I felt bad for the two waitresses who were running around. We sat at the bar so we got our food a little faster since we didn't have to wait for the waitress to find time to bring it to us. She was very apologetic for our wait, but it was obvious that they were short staffed. The food was excellent, and my only complaints are about the slow service and the dirty, soy sauce splattered menus that we were given.
