Chicken rice soup that came with lunch special.
    Jeanne W.

A good eggplant and tofu lunch special plate can be found here. It comes with a crispy egg roll and soup or salad. The soup I had today was chicken rice. The broth was good with a hint of garlic. The eggplant with cubes of fried tofu was tasty. It came with steamed rice. Good price point for lunch specials as well with a variety of choices. Staff is friendly and accommodating as well as efficient at this busy restaurant.

Food is usually good here, no matter what you order. I'm a big fan of their Fried Rice, available in several versions. Service is friendly and nice, be it by the owner or staff. Highly recommend Siam Thai Cuisine if you are in the area.

This is my first time here. The foods tasted yummyliciois. I would definitely come back here again. The server lady was really attentive and nice. I can not wait to try their other dishes from the menu. I recommend you give this place a try when your around the area. Good thing I had an appointment near the area around 8:30pm if not I would never found this gem of a restaurant. So far their Pad Thai Noodles reminds me of the same dish from another restaurant that permanently shut down a few years ago because the chef passed away. RIP the kind chef!! I've been reminiscing about how wonderful his dish was that I can never eat again. This place hit the spot a bit. The chef and server did a good job that my significant other round the amount to $80.

I wanted some Asian cuisine, something light because it was late. I stopped by this restaurant as I was on my way to another fast food restaurant. I had been here before and remembered it being very tasty so decided to give it another try. I was kindly greeted immediately. I told her I wanted to order to go so she gave me a menu, told me to take my time and let her know when I was ready. I ordered the Pad Thai with chicken and shrimp. It was absolutely as delicious as I expected. I was also served very quickly. They were getting ready to close, I found out and she told me about 15 minutes, but it was more like five. The only issue I had was I ordered chicken egg rolls, but they gave me spring rolls and they were cold. They lost a star for that.

I finally was able to order the Catfish dish, oh my goodness it was delicious. I got it spicy hot and yes I coughed a little but if you like heat you can enjoy it like I did. This place never disappoints me.

Drunken noodles and beef Thai Fried Rice

The service was phenomenal! The staff was beyond kind & the food was soooo good. We got a level 3 drunken noodles, had great kick of spice to it. Beef fried rice and veggie rolls & everything was VERY delicious. We also got a Thai tea and green Thai tea and they were so delicious! I can't get over the amazing customer service, very satisfied with this place!

What is better than a hot steaming bowl of noodles and soup after a long day playing in the snow?…read moreNot much. It was one of those rare occasions that we get real snow in Big Bear. I had just gotten done snowboarding and I was seriously craving some pho or some ramen. I don't want to wait the 90+ min it would take to make it down the mountain so I searched Yelp to see what was available in Big Bear (the city). The first thing that caught my eye was the photos of the Taiwanese beef noodle soup. Now, I grew up eating this famous beef noodle soup so not only did I love the way it tastes, it also has layers of nostalgia for me. When you walk into the cute little restaurant, there isn't much to look at but the giant order screen is up front and enough seating for maybe 4-6 small groups of diners. I opted for a bowl of the beef noodle soup, a side of egg rolls and I also wanted popcorn chicken. My boyfriend wasn't super hungry so he ordered a side of rice and an extra side of noodles to go with the popcorn chicken. Good thing he didn't order anything more than that. The portion sizes were VERY generous. There was no way I was going to be able to eat all the beef in my bowl so I split my beef and some broth with my boyfriend. After both of us got our fill, we ended up taking about half the popcorn chicken home with us and realistically we should have taken the rest of the beef and broth I couldn't finish. I think in the future we will go in knowing that one bowl of beef noodles, plus the extra side of noodles (or two sides) would almost be enough for 3 people to split. I am very happy I found this place. The only thing I wish they had a better selection of is beverages. They only offer some canned Pepsi products and some alcoholic drinks. In summary, -the service, ambiance, and the section of drinks was Meh. -prices were on the higher side -but the portions justify the price. -the egg rolls were boring, -the popcorn chicken was good -the sauce the chicken comes with was delicious -but the noodles are DEFINITELY worth going back for!

I ordered the bowl with pork for about $20 and change. It was a bit pricy but I'm also eating noodles on the mountain so fair enough. The soup was overly sweet for my liking. The flavor was interesting in the broth. The pork didn't look like what I envisioned. Looked more like beef. I dont know what I ate. The egg was overly cooked. Good vibes not so awesome noodles.

Unfortunately, this visit felt very different. We arrived around noon, and the restaurant was completely empty. They had several TVs, so I asked if they could put on the World Cup. Our waitress declined, explaining that when games are on, customers tend to stay long after they've finished eating. While I understand that may be their policy, it didn't feel very customer-friendly, especially with no other patrons in the restaurant. I also asked if there was an outlet where I could charge my phone. When we found a nearby table with a wall plug, I asked if we could switch tables since we'd only been served water. The waitress said it would be "too confusing for the system" because our orders had already been placed, despite the restaurant being empty. She did offer to charge my phone from an outlet in the hallway, which I appreciated. I asked if they had a few of our favorite sushi items--things like a Las Vegas roll, Orange Blossom roll, or salmon collar (all very common at sushi restaurants back home in Las Vegas). The response seemed more confused than helpful, and overall the interaction just didn't feel very welcoming. On the positive side, they brought out complimentary shishito peppers and radish as an appetizer, which was a nice touch. My daughter really enjoyed the salmon teriyaki, and we also liked the chicken teriyaki roll. At the end of the meal, we had to flag someone down for our check and for to-go boxes while the staff was busy cleaning tables. We were handed a wet plastic bag to pack up our leftovers, which was an odd way to end the experience. Overall, the food was better than the customer service. We'd still consider stopping again because the food is decent, but we hope the hospitality improves. A more welcoming attitude would go a long way.

I was surprised because there was only one couple in the restaurant besides us and they had already received their food. They could have been busy with online orders, but I still felt like it was slow service for being nearly empty inside. They have a self serve sauce bar. It just has soy, soy mixed sauce, chili oil, and black vinegar. I ordered the Wide Hand Pulled Noodles, Green and Onion Pot Stickers, and the Beef Rolls. Wide Hand Pulled noodles were ok. Honestly not much to brag about. I thought the noodles were cooked well but the flavor didn't really stand out to me. I believe it's served with chili oil, a mound of minced garlic and some vegetables. Outside of those ingredients I thought it needed more flavor or substance. The beef rolls were ok to me as well. I liked how crispy the roll was and size. Good portions of sliced beef served with cilantro. It was refreshing but the meat was generally cold with some warmness provided by the roll. But that quickly faded. Would prefer it to be warmer. The highlight was the pot stickers. Beef and onion were good. Really enjoyed the presentation of the dish. The edges of the pot sticker were really thick. Almost chip like. I enjoyed it as much as the dish itself. Would get it again. Overall I thought the food was ok. I'm sure there are better highlight dishes than what I ordered but they weren't selected this go around. Also the prices are a little higher than most dumpling spots so I just expected more.
