I ordered the tenderloin filet. Mignon, my husband ordered filet Mignon with shrimp. The tenderloin was soft and it was super good. It had a hint of lemon, which I liked the vegetables very good. They could have been cooked a little bit more, but they were delicious. The rice was Brown rice and it was so good. It was Fried Rice, but here's the problem. It could have been more healthier, by not putting msg or not making it Fried Rice. Just steamed brown rice organic And and just making it a more healthier version, it was really expensive But it is filet Mignon. But it was still expensive. I wish they would make everything into a more healthier version because there's not a lot of healthy food up in the deserert when I'm up their Also, when I have MSG or when I have stuff that is not healthy. I swell up and my joints hurt. Especially with msg or soy sauce, but everything was super delicious. It's just, I wish it could be a healthier version. I wouldn't mind paying a few bucks less but i know iit was filet Mignon, but it was really expensive. But it was good. Considering the prices, long wait time sitting outside or just in your car (45mins LITERALLY), and the quality of steak being served, I was expecting nothing but outside of greatness. I requested extra sauces to ensure the food was not bland as this was my first time trying it. I tasted each sauce to see which one I would like and each sauce was extremely tart. I don't know if their sauces are meant to be cooked or cooked down with the food but there was something tart and unpleasant about them. Imagine swallowing pills and you hold the pill in your mouth for too long. It's that type of unpleasant taste. And maybe I came on a bad day, but the steak would have been perfect chew toys for my dogs. It was hard and dry. I would love to say something nice but I genuinely can't. This truck is really hit or miss.. sometimes the food is delicious other times you get home to a hard @$$ steak you can barely chew.. When it's good it is good but too many misses for me esp when I order medium rare. The chicken also lacks flavor in my opinion. I was happy to know that Mr Teppan stayed open until 10pm for my late-night hibachi cravings! This food truck did not disappoint me when I visited once at a Halloween event at The Gym lot. So I called in, and picked up my order to go. I ordered the Filet Mignon-Lobster-and Shrimp plate with fried rice. It's with a bit extra cash for the shrimp and fried rice to accommodate my meal, but it was worth it. I was also able to redeem my %10 coupon which was on my my previous receipt. A little over $20, this meal was fulfilling and I was able to save some for leftovers. This hibachi food truck is a high desert gem, especially because it's so hard to find any hibachi restaurants around. So far, this one is my fav! We used to love this place. My husband and I have been coming to Mr. Teppans for the last year. We've ordered easily about 10 times or more, but the taste has decreased significantly. The last 3 times it was terrible. Salty, crunchy rice and the veggies were not fully cooked. On the rice-- not just a little SALTY but heart disease level. I didn't even get 1/4 of the way to finish the rice because the crunch was also terrible. We used to get a lot of protein but now it was 3 pieces of shrimp and a couple pieces of chicken. I had the Chicken Plate and it was quite good. It had plenty of grilled chicken breast chunks with fried rice, noodles, onions and squash. The noodles were firm and high quality and not mushy which made me feel good about eating them. They have 5 distinct sauces to add to it. I liked the dark one which tastes like a remoulade sauce. The meat seasoning is not sweet but more vinegary but you will like it. The food is not bad. But my steak was over cooked. I know it's hard to make chopped steak cubes medium rare so let's move on. It seems to substitute half rice for noodles is an added 8$. Wow. The shrimp was great. The noodles were great and the rice was pretty bland. I needed to add soy sauce. All in all it wasn't a bad experience but it wasn't the best I've ever had either. Would I go there again? Probably not if just for the price tag. If they added some pot stickers or wontons or something else and I didn't order the half noodles, and my wife and I split 1 meal so it wasn't over $70, it would probably help. I was hesitant to try this place based off some of the reviews, but we went ahead and ordered a combo plate- steak and shrimp. It was so good, we ordered a second plate. For those complaining about flavor I have no idea what they're talking about because our plate was delicious. The steak was nicely cooked and tender, the shrimp was cooked nicely aswell. The diablo sauce was spicy, just as expected. It takes about 15-20 minutes to get your order, which is cooked FRESH! You have the option of ordering over the phone if you don't want to sit and wait there. We will be coming back and I plan on trying the noodles. read more
