Latte

Life is too short for bad coffee! Staying nearby and decided to pop in for a latte. Very smooth. Locally roasted beans. A couple of tables available in the front of the shop and window seating with bar stools.

This coffee shop is a hidden gem! The coffee is amazing and the atmosphere is so cozy. It's the perfect spot to relax and enjoy a delicious cup of joe. Definitely coming back!

Popped in first thing in the morning with my wife partner. We ordered two cappuccinos to stay. Atmosphere was lovely, good music in the background. And drinks were fantastic! Probably top three smoothest cappuccino I've ever had. I'll be getting another very soon.

Grabbed coffee at Ninth Street Espresso on Sunday morning. Only a few possibilities and coffee on the bitter end of the spectrum. Quality: Limited options and I found the Cold Coffee extremely bitter. I still thought it was okay with cream and sugar, but my wife did not enjoy it at all. Since they have their own flavors, I was surprised to see very little variety on their menu. Also, only one small food item, but assume things increase when the brewery opens. Quantity: One size, and it was on the smaller end. Value: $4.50 for Cold Coffee. Ambiance: Ninth Street Espresso has a shop located upstairs at Threes Brewing in Gowanus. After entering the brewery, a quick right will lead you to some stairs with both the coffeeshop and a take-out beer store. It is decorated cute with lots of wood and plants, as well as small windows looking out at the road. They also had a killer playlist on, but it was not clear if any inside seating was available. There were tables and an outdoor structure in use. Crowd: A small line and a few people enjoying their drinks outside. Service: One guy manning the coffee side, another handling beer to-go. Friendly and efficient. Parking: Plenty of nearby street parking.

This coffee shop is connected to Threes Brewery and the entrance is through the brewery entrance. When you enter, to your right are stairs up to the coffee place. Cheap prices and decent coffee. They also have small bites and you can get Threes Brewery beers here too. There is a small room in the front to sit but a huge back room with a lot more chairs and seating.

I came here early afternoon, hoping to get some studies done before heading to class. I'm glad I chose this place! Upon walking in, it's a bit confusing at first. The cafe is connected to a bar, I believe. (Which probably isn't so bad for some of you who might want a drink!) Honestly, I felt a little lost walking in because I didn't know where I was going in. The cafe is on the right side. Once entering the cafe, I was warmly greeted with a smile. I ordered a latte ($4). The latte here was made with perfection! The perfect amount of milk and not too much foam with strong hints of espresso-- just the way I liked it! The barista left a nice tulip pour on my latte, so that's just an added bonus. About the interior, I was extremely pleased. Apartment-feel, so you'll feel like you're just at home. Cute sugar station with plants hanging right above. The tables were right next to the window, which allowed for some natural sunlight to peek in. Wooden tables, mismatched chairs and ALSO aesthetically pleasing black La Marzocco machine. Its a great place to just sit and read here. Or in my case, be on your laptop. It's a nice and quiet place, highly recommended! Also, I think I saw there were stamp cards for this cafe? I'm not too sure but I'll definitely grab one next time, because this wont be my first time there. See you soon, ninth street espresso!

As you walk through the area in Brooklyn, you may get the feeling you're going b the wrong direction. You're not. Keep on going until you find the small sign that says 9th Street Espresso. Follow the signs up the stairs to the coffee bar. There's a friendly barista that will craft your coffee for you. It's a simple menu: fresh brew, espresso, espresso with milk, but it's good coffee. It's $4 for a 12 ounce espresso with milk. There are a few seats with outlets and they give you a free hour of wifi.

Came here to catch up with my friend. We had a good time talking and drinking great coffee. This is definitely very relaxing place to just sip on your mud, work on your poems or have a talk with a friend. Espresso with milk was amazing! Muffin was alright, just not my flavor I suppose. Wish they had more muffin flavors on a daily basis. The down side to this place was that this is "CASH ONLY" cafe.

This place was a little confusing to find at first because like a previous teller had said, it's connected to a bar/restaurant? But I'm glad I did find it. It was a nice space, and the coffee was good. I had an iced latte, I would of preferred a stronger espresso taste but that can always be fixed with asking for an extra shot. The baristas were nice. There are a few tables in here for people to sit and work or to catch up with a friend.

Two macchiatos!

You must have the Brussels sprouts!! I'd go back for those in a minute! I very much enjoyed my salmon dish. Lovely presentation and preparation but portion a bit small. However, the Brussels sprouts were so generous portion that even after sharing there was "take home" for us. The chocolate mousse was extraordinary! I don't even want to know the calorie count - but worth it!! My one negative was the chill of the Cabernet Yes, I know that's the trend but personally I prefer room temp especially in cold weather The restaurant owner was gracious, staff actually charming and accommodating We are recommending this place to family and friends and plan to return especially when going to BAM ENJOY!!

Walked in and was able to get a seat without reservation, but it definitely filled up by 6/7 pm. The place is dimly lit and the tables are quite small. For the food, we got their Brussel sprouts, shrimp, salmon entree and chicken entree. Our favorite were definitely the shrimp. But everything else when eaten together tasted a bit too greasy and felt monotonous in terms of flavor. Brussel sprouts were fried and held to a decent amount of oil, then the addition of tahini made it even more oily. Pan chicken we expected whole pieces of chicken but it was more like a thin chicken cutlet. The salmon came with a cauliflower puree which tasted so rich (with butter), but I couldn't finish it bc it was so rich.

You pay $8 per person for three hours, which seems absolutely incredible. They have delicious bubble teas and some light bites. They have teas and coffees too. Super shout out to the woman working there today (12/29) because my little cousin is not an adventurous eater and she recommended the lychee boba and gave him a sample. He never tries things but did and really enjoyed it. I am so thankful for everyone's kindness who worked there. A cool atmosphere with lots of meetups and games going on. The store was pretty emptied at the time, and clerk informed about pricing per hour for game play (board and card games). I decided to skip the games, since all I wanted was some food to-go. Got the pastry and a latte drink. The pastry was a bit off; cheese filling was too sour and the pastry just didn't taste that fresh. The matcha latte drink wasn't good neither; very small amount of Matcha flavor, but plenty of milk. Will probably come back for game play only

People have left some odd reviews of this place, including a one-star review for the restaurant…read moreapparently being highly politicized--a vibe I neither felt nor could visually identify within or without the establishment. I ordered a single burger and a Sudan spiced peanut butter latte, for ~$15! That's pretty inexpensive for New York City. I note this as some consider it overpriced. I suppose the food is fairly inexpensive, the lattes slightly higher than average. The "burger" comes wrapped in a homemade pita with diced cucumber, onion, and tomato, plus a few crispy, thick-cut fries and a yummy house sauce. It was a cool twist of the traditional burger and had a nice flavor. The sauce was like a slightly Mediterranean version of Big Mac sauce. The girl working as the barista and cashier was very nice and friendly. She had a nice presence and warm smile, made suggestions, and even gave a stranger free utensils when they popped on to ask. I think it's definitely worth checking out, and it's a good place for a cheap & simple meal that's still quirky and fun.

Perhaps I should have anticipated that, or my mistake in ordering. I also ordered a Moroccan egg salad sandwich which was substantive but surprisingly bland--sparse with the advertised capers and pickled red onions to give it more punch. I've always loved the look of the spot and the vibe--funky decor, outside and indoor facing counters to order, with some outdoor seating for people watching on Dekalb or heading nearby Ft. Greene Park. I see they are renovating and rebranding a bit and adding some burger component. While I didn't love it, I'd definitely give it another shot.
