This is a huge Swapmeet. We didn't have time to see it all, because we needed to leave to use the restroom. All they have are porta-toilets which I can't manage. They have good vegetable and fruit produce for sale and fun food options (my husband loved the BBQ ribs). It was $25 for a combo plate but they gave him a lot of food. We bought some large avocados, 3 for $5. We also bought some mini bananas, apricots, and fried pork rinds. I found some cute Hello Kitty items to use as gifts and some glittery heart shaped earrings for $5. This swap meet has vendors selling retail items originating from China or Mexico. Items such as clothing, jewelry, toys, and toiletries. There are also second hand vendors selling used household items and tools. There are not vendors selling handmade crafts like at a farmers market. It costs $4 to park and it was a zoo trying to find a spot. We lucked out and found a space in the handicapped parking. Another drive by and it always looked good from the freeway. since we were headed to the Santa Maria airport "with plenty of time" we stopped to check it out. In our favor was the late time we were headed in at 2ish. No line in to the parking area, four dollars cash was easy enough. I headed to an area closest figuring the early folks had already left...ta da. There was a great spot under a tree. No charge to walk in, great! So we strolled up one isle and down the other so we cover the entire ground. Initially I was not impressed, my first thought was that a ship from China dropped a couple of containers and that was the show. There were quite a few duplicate vendors a few too many. I was hoping for the days gone by when sellers brought everything in their garage, that wasn't the case here. I did find a couple of garage re-resellers but I rent so I don't need the gardening stuff. We bought some waters and had a seat at one of the vendors fold up table, the tables and chairs were filthy dirty as was the case for nearly every food vendor with tables and chairs set up. I thought to myself you could sell alot of cleaner doing a demo show of cleaning 'em. I picked up some fruit and some kitchen tool items but other than that it was a nice walk about. Loved it, so many vendors with a great variety of new and used items. I found a few unique things and useful items. I love the seashell decor I found, it was handmade. Wish I had bought some of the garden decor a gentleman was selling. All the sellers I encountered were nice and willing to make a deal for the most part. Snow cones were overpriced $4 for large size cup, avoid it. The elote was $4 and roasted up hot and tasty. Awesome tacos and jugos. Authentic and fresh. Most places took card but always bring cash for bargaining. Parking was $3 per car. Not too bad. Get there early for a spot, I noticed it super packed by 11am and a huge line to get in. read more

We used to love to come here, nope not after what they are charging for food,, $10 for a small cup of Elotes, $10 are you high, $22 for regular plate of nachos that were not good wtf seriously that's insane and no price posted anywhere ,, it's price gouging at it's fullest , never ever again , I'm about to go put a Booth up and have $5 nachos $2 cups of corn like it should be!!!!!! read more

I LOVE Swap Meets, the vintage items you can find are a treasure trove to me and a good Swap Meet also has excellent Mexican food. This Swap Meet has it all! Albeit small, this little gem does not disappoint! The goods are great, both new and used items are available; but what really blew me away was the number of food vendors, not just Mexican food, but also Boba Tea, Oaxacan food, fresh fruit drinks, fruit cups, desserts galore! Lots of great food here! Especially the Oaxacan food trucks, so arrive hungry! A million options for aguas frescas throughout the place as well. Toys are junk and overpriced and you see the same toys at many many spots. Go for the food and fresh fruits! read more

I love this place! It's alot different then it was in the 8o's. but it's still a fun place to go!! I think alot of stuff is over priced, but I think that's because they over charge for the spots and units they rent to the sellers... way over priced!! but you can still find some great deals here!! I still see some old timers from the 80's still selling!! And, When we did storage auctions in 2006-2008 we'd bring the truck in super early to unload, and sell all our stuff to the full-timers here before it came off the truck!! read more

Love coming here to get some great Mexican food or some cool finds! I would probably not get tacos though. Not because it's not good, but because 1 taco that's the true Mexican mini size is about $3 at every stall that I could see and it takes about 4-6 of those to really fill me up. Nice flea market, only bad experience I had was a time going during Covid, there was Anglo man at the entrance, my husband forgot his mask in the car and the man told him he could sell him one for a dollar. My husband decides to go to the car to get his mask. I personally think they shouldn't sell them, I've been to many stores that have boxes at the entrance for anyone that doesn't have one. read more

This used to be an awesome used/collectible swap-meet to stop and shop during our travels. But, not worth the time to enter here unless your looking for a little low budget, nothing but fruits/vegs, very few used.. it's like an across the border experience of dollar store junk. never again... take the time and go to the sunset swap, now that's a swap-meet. read more

We stopped here for the heck of it; these kind of places are a lot more fun than snooty farmers' markets and overpriced antique malls one finds in the more gentrified parts of the central coast. Ok......this is what we found: lots of used tools in good condition at low prices (my friend picked up a special kind of saw,) garish paintings and grandma's trinkets ( no thanks,) fresh garbanzo beans and guazoncles ( a kind of wild broccoli , good with eggs, and hard to find outside of Mexico,) knock-off sunglasses (pass,) and some good , cheap, vintage jewelry that I had to look long and carefully for. There's lots to eat-- I had a chile and cheese tamale-- and I went home with several bags of spicy garbanzos and pistachios con chile y limon. There was a champurrado vendor, too, so it was corn - overload for me. I guess I'll just have to kid myself that I walked off all the calories at the swap meet. BTW-- a reviewer mentioned feeling uncomfortable in a predominately Hispanic environment. Although it is easier to haggle if you speak Spanish, don't worry too much. Don't know why people give this place bad ratings. It is what it is, and it's definitely not a bad place, for what it's trying to provide. This is the place to get good and rare fruit/vegetables that you won't find in some grocery stores, and that can be cheaper than farmer's market. There is also a lot of snacks and food to choose from. I go once in a while just to walk around. I enter, grab some churros or chips with lemon and hot sauce, and walk around looking at stuff while eating. I never actually buy the items for sale because most of it is either junk or from a business (not like going to yard sales). In contrast, at the swap meet in SLO, you have higher possibilities of finding good used items, but there's hardly any food to choose from. read more

Go on Sunday. Saturdays are super dead so don't even bother. Largest flea market I've been to but the items are pretty much what you see at other decent flea markets. Lots of food and vendors selling cheap, new clothing, toys, tools, etc. The one unique and kind of neat aspect is the people using mini-storage units as ad-hoc storefronts. That's where you'll find most of the used, antique, and garage sell type stuff. Parking is $2 but it's more worth it than the Santa Maira or SLO flea markets IMO. Don't go looking for "oil pan alley" thinking you'll find a bunch of used car parts and the like. When I went I only saw one guy who had a garage full of classic cars, motorcycles, and parts, albeit he probably had the largest space in the whole flea market. read more

Wow went here on a Saturday and the place was practically deserted. Not sure if everyone arrives on Sunday but the swap meet was pathetic. None of the food carts were open and only about a third of the booths were open. Had to pay $2 for parking and barely got to see anything. Adding insult to injury, a fire truck and ambulance were in the middle of one of the rows performing CPR on some poor man. We won't be returning. read more

This is the only swap meet I have ever gone to where it is possible to get here too early! I arrived at 7:30 AM on a Sunday and hardly anyone was set up. So I recommend you come an hour or so later than I did. I had to walk around the whole place a few times waiting for people to set up so I definitely got my 10,000 steps in! I came looking for used stuff, so I was disappointed that most of the sellers outside were selling new stuff - the usual swap meet knock-offs, toys, jeans, etc. At one end of the swap meet, there are these storage locker type buildings. That is where the used items are. Unfortunately, only a tiny portion of those sellers had opened their spaces by the time I left at 9:30. I bought a few CD's and records (sealed Village People so I was really desperate for some vinyl), but nothing crazy. Several sellers told me I should have gone to SLO drive in swap instead if I was looking for used stuff. Lesson learned. The Mexican food looked good, but I wasn't really hungry yet so didn't try any. read more

Nice little swap meet. Always find good deals. The super nachos are very good. Get the large and share. I'm not sure about the bad reviews unless people expect every deal to just jump out for you. A buddy and me went in search of games and action figure collectibles and what not. The first guy went to in a storage unit was super cool and gave us a deal. I believe his name was Josh. Everyone else was way overpriced and charged sometimes more than retail. Also, everyone else here sells the same cheap asian knock off crap. You'll see 20 booths selling the same stuff. If you go here you'll really have to look hard to find a good deal. read more

What happened to this place!? I remembered coming here a lot back then and this place would always be packed and lively. The last few times I came, the place was almost like a ghost town! There were very few vendors, very few food carts, and hardly any customers! It was deserted. Can't believe I'm the first to review this one. This place is the bomb! Awesome Mexican food, to start with. Cheap too! Lots of trinkets and stuff you really don't need from south of the border, but you buy it anyways. Everything here is pretty cheap and not too terribly crowded. Went to the swat meet hoping it would be similar to Orange County swap meet and was thoroughly disappointed on that front. My husband and I walked around and pretty much saw the same cheap goods at almost every vendor. We bought some old concert T-shirts and I bought some fresh greens. I think I was ripped off re: the price. two bunches came to $5. I didn't question it; I just paid it but when I got home I saw the hand written tag on both and I should have been charged $3. So buyer beware. I guess I got special pricing (can't imagine why)...we walked around a little more; saw some cool men's shirts that were waaay overpriced and then we left. Not worth going back and shame on the jerk who ripped me off. Shame on me for giving the benefit of the doubt (won't happen again). All in all, not worth it. read more

As I walked around I felt a little uncomfortable, not knowing too much Spanish and I was definitely in the minority here. Kind of like at a family reunion and not part of the family. Most of the seller didn't speak english and had the same junk 99 cents store sells, but cheaper. They did have great prices unusual fresh (ripe) produces. They had alot of mexican food vendors as well as fried pork rinds everywhere you looked. Got some fresh fruit in a cup for $6 to eat as I walked around the maze of isles and later a $5 burrito I could've bought anywhere else and not be curious of the meat inside to open it before eating. read more

As an American who speaks English, this place was very uncomfortable. I was cussed at for not knowing Spanish and I was definitely in the minority here. I didn't feel safe and all the sellers had was the same junk Walmart sells, but cheaper. They did have produce. Lots of cactus, lettuce and strawberries. They had alot of mexican food as well and fried pork rinds. Tons of smokers as well. All in all, a preview of where California is headed I am afraid. read more
