If I could give this place zero stars I would. I decided to come here on a whim after eating next-door. I asked if they offered an upper lip wax and they looked hesitant, but said they did. The lady waxing me didn't seem like she knew what she was doing as she asked me to stick my tongue above my lip as if I were getting threaded . She then applied cold wax and used a strip to pull it off 2-3 times, clearly the wax was not coming off because it was applied too cold and thick. She then reapplied wax and did the same thing two or three times. I'm left with the skin torn off my upper lip and 2 cuts . Rather than apologizing, she said my hair was too thick. I have been getting my lip waxed for over 20 years and have never had this issue. Matter of fact, I just had my lip waxed three weeks ago with no issues . If they felt uncomfortable doing a wax, then they shouldn't have offered the service. My lip is on fire, the hose has been torn off, and I am cut up. I'm sure I'll have numerous scabs tomorrow. My eyebrows do not look like I just got them done. I have been growing them out for months and the lady ruined them. I have never had to tell somebody to fix their work when they tell me to open my eyes. She threaded them two different sizes. They don't look clean or neat. Will not be returning. read more

I was coming here a couple years ago and stopped because they messed up on my eyebrows and messed up the shape and eventually I decided to come back to them. I've been coming for about 4 months now and again the same thing. They misshaped them last time but waited for them to grow so they could fix it today. The girl kept taking off so much because she had two completely different shapes. I kept telling her to please fix it and she just ended up saying I'm sorry. What does I'm sorry do? She asked the other lady and she told her to try something else but nevertheless my eye brows are extremely thin, uneven, and the front of my eyebrow is cut in the corner. I couldn't think of an exact henna design that I wanted, but I wanted something cool & quick, so I asked for a freehand design that was $20 or less. I'm no henna expert, but I loved how it came out! Wish I took pics of it after the paste peeled! Initially it wasn't showing on my skin at all, but the tattoo darkened over the next few days & showed Very Visibly on my dark skin. The downside is that they don't use handmade natural henna. It's pre-packaged, but for a quick tattoo job it works! read more

I used to go to Rubina and really really liked it there but it is almost always very crowed and it seems like Rubina herself is losing her touch cuz she started doing a half fast job. So now that i found Nora's I'm really excited cuz as long as you specify how you want them they will listen. Yelped for the closest threading place near my house and found this. I was in a hurry and thank gawd there was only one other person before me. It was a Saturday afternoon and there were only 2 staff available. The place is clean, small, seats only 4 iirc, and across from the Payless Shoe store at the Carson Mall. An older, shorter lady did my eyebrow and lip. She did such a clean job, she even threaded off parts of my skin in those areas! Might as well have shaved and nicked myself for free! I paid $14 ... (~_~) I've had the same areas threaded at different places, for over a year now, but never once have I bled, nor gotten cuts. This was the first time ever that's happened. What made it more painful is she was painstakingly slow. And she probably knew from the look in my face as she offered me aloe vera as soon as I was done (-_-) Now this was my experience from her. The taller younger lady looked as if she'd have done just as clean a job, w/o all the nicks. I may be back but I'll be sure to request someone else =P Late ADD: OMG, a few days after, the areas that were nicked started hurting like hell! In fact it was burning! I noticed afterwards that the areas had gotten dark and like, crusty, just as it would look if you were to get your knee scraped and the skin over it healed... Ugh! What was I thinking!?! I'm never coming back here, and unless you want to risk having painful dark blotchy spots on your face. Two thumbs waaay down! hmph! read more

I was supposed to go to the carson mall one but they were 1 hour late! All of them! So I went over to this place and .... WOW!! I loved how they did my eyebrows they kept it full and thick and cleaned it up for me. Also it rarely hurt! the Carson mall one I always feel like they are threading my soul out. The Carson Mall one was fine if you liked thinner eyebrows. I thought my eyebrows were the problem but this place showed me no they definitely were not. I will definitely be returning!:) read more

I was referred by a friend to go here because i have been having bad experiences with getting my brows done. When you walk in the place is clean and nice. The lady who did my brows is Gu-ma. She is great and did them exactly how i wanted them. The price is great and so are the staff that works here. I walked in i waited less than 5 minutes before i was seen. Went here for the first time about 3 weeks ago. I have been doing my own eyebrows for as long as I remember but had to start coming here because I recently broke my elbow and couldn't do them on my own anymore. The first time I went, AMAZING! 2nd time, just as good. I don't know the young lady's name that does my brows there but she uses the chair furthest from the door. Eyebrow threading is only $7 and we'll worth it. Nearly painless (as it dosent affect me that much). Took less than 10 minutes and she gives you aloe gel to put on your brows afterwards to sooth them. Ill def be comjng back here when I'm not feeling like doing my own brows. read more

I've been going to this shop since it first opened inside the Carson Mall. I love how Tulsa does my eyebrows. Tell her what you want and that is what you'll receive. She also has another lady working for her, not sure what her name is. I recently went to her because I needed my eyebrows done, (they were looking scary) and she did a great job as well. If you're looking for a great place to get your eyebrows done at this is the place, especially for the price! ($7) You can't beat it! The only con is the parking, the plaza is sort of small and it has a lot of business, the best time to go is right when it opens. read more

But my girl doesn't work there anymore but I decided to go with the so call manager or owner of the place and I told her only to clean up my brows since I have beautiful thick brows. This was the second time I gave her a try and she's the rudest person ever. Yet alone she nest up my beautiful thick eyebrows and left me with super thin eyebrows. This is your basic threading place. It looks clean. When you first come in, you have to sign in. They have comfy chairs in their waiting area. The chairs they use fort threading are also comfortable. After they are done, they offer you aloe vera. read more

I came here today since this was the closest threading place. I have been lazy to go to Buena Park to go to the person I normally go to. I came in around 10 right when the mall opened. There was no one there so instead of walking all the way to the threading place by Sears I thought I'd give this place a try. That was a big mistake. The lady was pleasant but when she started to thread where ever she had threaded it would have a burning sensation. I didn't say anything, but I should have said something. Upon leaving as I sat in the car I started to inspect my eyebrows and I can see some hair left behind. Which I know I can just pluck off. As I inspected it more I noticed that there was a small patch where there was no hair at all in the middle of my eyebrows, but it can be covered with just fixing the other hair I can cover that up. I noticed that my eyebrows are uneven and one has more of an arch and while the other is flat. I won't be returning here and I learned my lesson to not go to anyone else, but the lady that I normally go to. read more
